      @thewildlylife  3 месяца назад +1

      The green floral dress I got from a boutique a few years ago called Böhme! And I can't remember the exact name of the shop where I got the set from, but it was a local shop in California!

    Is the south of France a good place or safe to start solo traveling to as girl

    • @maxjohnson1758
      @maxjohnson1758 3 месяца назад +1

      I'm 6'1" and 250lbs of rompin', stompin' manhood, and even I've found myself in some dicey situations more than once traveling alone. You might get away with it. Or, you might not. Why not simply find a friend to travel with you so you'll be more safe?

    • @thewildlylife
      @thewildlylife  3 месяца назад +2

      While I was not totally alone, I felt totally safe the entire time! There were a few times I went out by myself to walk around or swim while Caleb worked, and I had no issues. I can't speak to what your experience may be since I wasn't a solo traveler, but I *think* you should be fine as long as you take the normal precautions you would anywhere! 😊

      @thewildlylife  3 месяца назад +1

      Aw thank you! I got it from a boutique called böhme! You cannot actually drive into Eze, but there's a car park right below the village. Highly recommend getting there early to find parking and then walking up to Eze! Hope that helps! 😊

    Thank you for an excellent video! Very informative. What are your thoughts about Expat seniors living in France? As retired educators (we helped a new school open in Lviv - Aug-Dec), we are exploring Poland (Dec-Jan), Estonia (Feb), and possibly France. Nice looks beautiful and welcoming. We seek a walkable, affordable, and comfortable place to call home. My wife Cindy has MS, so calm is a required component. I grew up in Los Angeles, working & driving 24/7, so the European pace is very attractive. Thank you. Dean & Cindy

      The Côte d'Azur is fantastically beautiful. However it's one of the most visited regions in Europe and therefore not particularly affordable. And with lots of tourism come hoards of people. In the summer months the south of France is anything but calm. If you're after affordable you might be better off in other parts of Europe, Madrid for example. It's not the most interesting city in Europe but it's still nice, walkable and historic but much much more affordable than Nice and the surrounding regions.
      Plus it being a major European capital it has extremely good infrastructure especially in terms of medical care which would be important to your wife.
      Or another option if you prefer France would be the north, Normandy specifically. It is more affordable than the south and calmer, especially in the summer months. It has nice weather year-round (never cold or hot, but quite a bit of rain) and it's close to Paris should your wife need specialist medical care.

      @@maximilianw4354 Thank you, Max, for your response. We are still discovering the perfect balance between social engagement and chaotic discomfort. Perhaps Madrid?

      Thank you! Yes, we'd definitely recommend renting a car to get around if you plan to go outside of Nice. We just booked through Hertz at the airport. Hope that helps!

    Is Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat better than Saint-Tropez?

    • @thewildlylife
      @thewildlylife  6 месяцев назад +1

      We haven't been to Saint-Tropez but we've heard it's far more "luxurious and high end glam" so not sure if it would be our vibe. Based on the info we have, we think Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat is better!

    Monaco isn’t another country! It’s a Principality so there’s no passport control! I find Monaco very boring!

    • @thewildlylife

      Monaco is an independent and sovereign country, it's officially known as the Principality of Monaco! Many countries we've driven between in Europe haven't had passport control.
