Hello, for example we will sail from usa to italy and supply bunker at spain. For this do we need to give eosp or eosp only given when we arrived to anchorage waiting area or picking up pilot?
Hi friend. in period Sea Steaming ( RFA to EOSP) we passing channel ( Singapore strait or Hai Nam strait) require STBY E/R then Run up again. So how can I calculate sea/harbour steaming time
When Passing a channel or strait, its the same way sir. At one point you will be going to 1 hour notice, then Maneuvering, then back to sea speed. In all of the ship's I sailed, the process is similar. Sea steaming stops at end of 1 hour notice (as soon as you start reducing RPM) till the point you have completed the strait, and run your engine up BACK to its FULL RPM. Suppose, 1000 hrs was 1 hour notice, 1115 hrs commenced reducing RPM, 1140 hrs reached Maneuvering speed, 2000 hrs started increasing RPM after completion of a transit, 2030 hrs reached SEA Speed... Then, Harbour steaming will start at 1115 hrs and complete at 2030 hrs. The rest is Under sea speed sir. Hope I clarified your query. Regards ❤️
