    I can't tell you how much I enjoy these garden tours. I love all your videos but these are the cream of the crop. When I see that you have posted one, I get myself a cool drink sit down and just unwind and enjoy all the beauty you bring us. Can't wait to see all the projects you have planned for this year. Good luck with everything and Happy Gardening!

    Dear Laura. I'm Fadhilah from Malaysia. Your videos really inspire me. I never knew gardening is such a wonderful hobby. Each morning I wake up I cannot wait to go out to look at my plants. Thank you i got a lot of knowledge from your videos. The best part I can touch the potting soil with my bare hand after watching you planting.

    I didn't start watching your channel until a couple of years ago. But now, as we have just bought out first house and starting our own garden it is so refreshing to go back to your older videos and see how everything has evolved so beautifully. Gives me hope that even though it seems slow now, ours will be everything we dream of in just a few short years. ❤️

    I absolutely love your videos and your channel! My husband and I recently became first time homeowners with our own backyard (a luxury we did not have with our previous SF apartment). I have spent this last year learning about the plants the wonderful previous owners left us, and trying to maintain them while also planting new perennials. When I started doing my gardening research, I was so grateful that I came across your channel. Since watching your tips and tutorials, I have created our vegetable garden, a few fairy gardens, countless succulent arrangements, planted perennials and a few annuals. I really want to just say thank you! Your videos and tips are SO helpful. You are clear, concise, and give very detailed explanations in what you are doing and why you are doing it. Whenever I need inspiration, ideas or explanations, I know I can turn to your channel and you can help me through whatever gardening hurdle I am facing. So once again thank you! Your passion for gardening is contagious, and you by far are my favorite youtube artist :)

      Hi Laura! Just did a GardenAnswer marathon this week and so wish you had a clone for the south! I am from the Mid Atlantic and currently live in the Charleston area. As you well know, southern gardens differ greatly from New England gardens! You are inspirational for all zones but the south is sorely lacking a Garden Answer series!

      No need to feel left out! Just feast your eyes on the wonderful low light house plants available online & in stores these days. A
      There are numerous RUclipsrs who do vids on their house plants, including those with low light collectons. Some do regular shows revealing their latest aquisitions. No doubt you'd enjoy seeing them unwrap & talk about their new plants they've bought online, with genuine enthusiasm as heir eyes fall on each one tbey unwrap.
      It's inspired me to try some new plants I'd never seen or heard of before, & I've kept houseplants for about 50 years. It's so much fun.
      Do look into all types of clip on or stand or hanging grow lights to help you enjoy the stunning ass8ortment of houseplants to explore!
      Many on RUclips now

    I arrived to that video by MissOrchidsGirl account and my attention was caught by the video. I was astonished to see how much wide and organised your garden is. Simply amazing. I cannot imagine how much work it needs to be kept neat and tidy. Wonderful. For sure you are full of plans to organize your garden and I think that you could gorgeous results with surfinias, clematis, echinacea, amarillys (to mention some of the first that come to my mind)... Actually your garden suits everything possible! Great...I am very curious to see next videos about it.

      @cherylanderson3340 5 лет назад

      Be careful...As beautiful as their property is, for a normal person, the maintennance would require a full time crew, just to weed & maintain clean edges on sculpted shrubs, hedges & borders. Then too, there's dead heading, pruning, & checking for insect damage, & staying on top of checking & adjusting the timers & emitters & overall irrigation system, & hand watering.
      Next there's the removal of yellowed leaves, dead, failed plants & replacing them, or relocating survivors to visually compensate to fill in empty spaces to maintain perfect balance.
      There's no time to waste. Shut off the TV! Get off the computer you slacker!Chop chop. Work quickly & daily. No lolling about or taking off for a few days!
      If you do, you may return to a few drooping plants or gophers having a field day, with their friends!
      Many areas of these beds & borders are formally balanced designs, so must be precicely maintained.
      Many years ago, I'd dreamed, researched, planned, designed, cleared & planted several garden beds on all sides of tbe house,& several plants were placed to mirror each other. Others, like lavendar, edged paths. All were ecpected to play nicely together.
      I was injured & assumed I'd get back to normal capacities & could handle it. I didn't & couldn't keep it up, but it's spring again, so I'll have another crack at it & will be simplifying & adjusting.

    My folks had ivy grown since I was little girl all along one side of the house near my fathers office entrance. They got it removed back in 1970's and the ivy had dug into the brick work. Their home was old brick painted white and it was never like the rest of the house:( Ivy is wonderful in small increments:)

    Thanks for the great tour. It's so nice to hear you are giving your unwanted red roses to your mother in law. Its great to recycle plants and shares with others rather than to throw plants out. I also don't like red which is a bit strange as I am a Leo and am suppose to like red and hot colours. My favourites are pastel pinks blues and whites. Can't wait to see your May tour it's the best time in my garden in England as well.

    Thank you so much for your videos, you're my hero, such an inspiration to me. I know nothing about gardening unfortunately. We recently bought a new home in Maine we have a beautiful pond you would love and we're on a lovely river. I wish you could see it all I can just imagine plans you would come up with. My husband built me the most adorable shed, looks like a little cottage. I love it so much I recently suffered a stroke in September will not be one of my fondest memories. I'm still recovering but still getting stronger by the day, just not strong enough to even think about gardening yet. :( watching your videos and trying to learn is getting me through a lot of my down time. I've been trying to collect some things to be able to make a fairy garden one day soon I hope. Not at all easy finding things for such a garden. Around here anyway. Anyway congratulations on your new home, can't wait to see the interior, it's just beautiful!! My home was built in 1939 with a lot of the original features and that's what grabbed me and I fell in love with it. So much character!

    Enjoying your April tour very much. Though you're Z 5, as am I, your plantings are way ahead of mine.
    Lucky for me, the numerous types of Narcussus & a few surviving medium pink Tulips are just beginning to come up, since my spring bulb garden, which also has several blooming ground covers, like lavender Phlox, white & pink Soapwort & my favorite, white Iberis,which are not yet up, is seriously overrun by Poison Ivy, which has yet to leaf out.
    Love your new concrete table. To my eye, may I suggest 3 low, curved concrete benches, which would each settle in visually, & not compete with nor block a full view of the very fancy table's edge.
    I've seen such ready made benches, so you could easily locate some, with a simple bevelled edge, or one with an edge that looks like rope is, a series of rounded, parallels, within a bevelled edge.
    One can sit with legs facing towards the table's base when dining , or sit astride an end for a quick rest while taking a phone call, or sit with legs out, away from table, while one could lean back against the edge of the table, looking out, your tea or wine glass & phone by your side, along with your note pads & sketch books, without having to move the benches!
    Ben could sit there in a strapped in booster seat, & later easily sit on his own, & the cat could easily nap in the sun!
    Whaddya think?

  • @TheBereangirl
    @TheBereangirl 7 лет назад

    I feel your pain. There's a similar tree to your elm, a boxelder. A wretched tree, even came with it's own ugly black/orange bugs that were as thick on the ground as the seeds it spewed -- absolutely everywhere! It was our neighbor's tree, which was finally cut down a few years ago, and I'm still pulling all of the saplings from the tons of seeds!!

    Your gardens are beautiful! Can't wait to see May's video. I think you should reconsider your dislike of red...the red and yellow tulips together were my favorite. Ooh, with that entrance, please please change that front door to something more spectacular. Something with patterned, cut glass and a beautiful black metal sconce on each side to match the ironwork of the entrance stairway, or whatever you love because you have such a great eye for design. That could be really spectacular given the entry staircase. I do home renovations so that's what catches my eye. I like to play with the notion of having your landscape designs on my imaginary and real properties. I bummed that you don't like red as it's my favorite color, especially with yellow.
