    That house is down the street from Louis’ house that I’m renting. I have admired that beautiful door. The house is perfectly located for views and walks. There’s a dairy down in that valley. When there aren’t any cars going by it is only birdsong

    John, I’m going to guess the water is for spirits that visit you. My Mexican grandmother used to keep glasses of water out on her dresser, in the hallways, etc. She said it was for the spirits because they get thirsty. John, on an aside, could you possibly begin your filming showing a larger map of Italy and then zooming in on where the town is located? I appreciate the information about homes being close to the beach, or they have public transportation, etc. But I could use more geographical information especially in relation to how close these little towns/villages are to major cities in Italy. Just a suggestion. 😊

    Oh wow! the view alone was worth the price of admission. I want to do a lot of additional work but the house is still very workable. I have an architect son. Price is okay even considering the additional work I'd think was necessary. that little windowless room would make a great walk in closet. and somehow that could be two bedrooms up on the second floor. but the views and a great town.

    BTW: after living in Europe for 6 years as a child, my best guess for the water on the porch is to keep it cold. When we moved to Germany in 1960, and even to today, most Europeans don't keep a large fridge. The first German family I met kept their milk, butter, and other items that needed to be kept cold out on the windowsill of the kitchen. (they did have a small fridge, but it was like what you would find in the typical US college student's dorm. By comparison, refrigerators in US homes today are like meat lockers. Anyway, I'm thinking the water is out on the stoop so it can stay cool.

    Great property 👌. Remove plaster off kitchen ceiling expose that brick. Change kitchen tiles 😊 No 3rd bedroom in hallway area on 2nd floor. No one wants to walk through a bedroom to get to a 2nd bedroom. That 1st floor bedroom is cool. Add some cool double doors .👍 😁❤

    If I were to get this place, I would decommission the half bath close to the entry and make it into a closet. Redo the kitchen, making it an L shaped kitchen along the fireplace side of the kitchen and along the storage room wall, that way the dining table could just be in the kitchen. Make the storage space at the back of the kitchen a full bath. Have the lounge in the current dining room and the lounge space in the back could be a bedroom or study with a pull out sofa. Upstairs I like the idea to make a hallway going to the bedroom at the back right. Then you could create two bathrooms (one for each room) in the windowless room. With the current second level bath, you could knock down the wall between the bath and the newly created bedroom space (currently the landing/study) and incorporate it so that the bedroom has a window (currently in the bathroom).

    In the US we have something called light tubes that are cheaper than skylight and installation is so simple...just a small opening with flashing and a few screws. And it will light up the entire room because the tubes are highly reflective.

    The area and home is so nice as you said ready to go. Windows mean a lot if already done. One thing not done in our home and we probably wont spend the money now to upgrade at this older age. Id maybe add skylights where possible. I look at all these homes as creative use possibilities. In small homes and trailers you have to double use areas. Id also be tucking in a small side chair, table, usb ports close to every window. Like on that landing up from the kitchen right at the balcony, and up stairs in the area that seems under used. Could have a day bed. Small table and chairs to play games, chessboard etc. Not everyone even on vacation stays in same room as others.

    These Floridians love your ideas of moving walls because we appreciate flat/one level living which seems to be difficult to find in this region (we aren’t getting younger so we look for homes that will suit our needs for holidays and also others wanting to rent it when we aren’t there) so we do appreciate your comments! And these views are spectacularly stunning!!! 😍

      I dont know why more homes not built with 6" rise steps the standard for arthritic people. You do see it in federal buildings here and wheel chair ramps from sidewalk around to doors in post offices. I started realizing all this walking with strollers when my kids little. It takes more room to put in 6" height stairs but totally can build in storage, half baths etc as you go around. I made hubby and contracters do a wheel chair ramp all the way around from front driveway...just extension of those paths and patio we were making....around a cottage next to main house to come up to the back patios as they were 3 steps up as was coming in from garage, front door and weed area where we put patio. A bear to move in. Its great when my hipp or knees are out. Not in a wheel chair yet!

    The myth of water bottles is prevalent in our Latino communities, here in Arizona. I don’t know if it actually works or why it would, but it’s to keep cats from peeing there. If I thought it worked, I would have water bottles everywhere, for my 22 rescues 😂
    I’ll tell you what I’m waiting for, to buy. For my acreage in Scottsdale to sell.

    I can see why properties in Raiano go quickly! What a nice area. This townhouse is surprisingly spacious at an excellent price. Move in ready. Garage/storage area always comes in handy, too. Love the balconies with those incredible views.....STUNNING views!? Take my breath away. I could hang out on that top balcony all day long. Lots of potential for the upstairs or leave as is. This property will move quickly, I bet. Great find! Best Wishes! 🙋‍♀💜

    Question- Chuck and I are always looks for WHERE the laundry will be done (wash/dry/line dry) because we all have to have clean laundry. So, on this property where do they hang the laundry? In the US we typically have the laundry which has washer and dryer together, so this is something that I look for while we are looking for a home - HOW will I do the laundry without having to go up and down flights and flights of stairs.

    ok, nice water bottle hack. We had a male neighbor cat , peeing on the front doorstep, everyday, because, we had a male cat, and they are territorial, over, who own's the front balcony. The smell is the worst pnuemonia kinda smell, seriously, worse than poop. Leaving the house , coming home, puddles of rotten liquified pnuemonia. They males won't stop, it can be be beyond frustrating and kinda disgusting. You can also spread peppermint....

  • @BHBULOP
    @BHBULOP 8 месяцев назад +3

    Often, the owners themselves place bottles in front of the doors of their homes with the aim of discouraging dogs and cats from doing their business in that place. It is believed that dogs, following a natural instinct, avoid urinating near water sources to preserve their purity. Furthermore, it is hypothesized that cats are disturbed by the light reflected from the bottles.
    However, it should be noted that this belief lacks a valid scientific basis. It is interesting to mention that even an American television program has refuted the effectiveness of this practice through experiments conducted.
