- Grammy® award-winning Chanticleer releases its first music video - Indie Pop hit "Cells Planets". Exploring new music has been a defining characteristic of the group for three decades. Here, the "Cells Planets" video propels Chanticleer into the Indie Pop world. Conceived and produced by the group while on the road, the six-minute video was shot using cell phones & webcams, follows the members, separated from their friends and loved ones, singing Erika Lloyd's haunting "Cells Planets."
The Cells Planets single, arranged by Vincent Peterson, has brought audiences to their feet on the current "Out of this World" tour. The complete tour program is also available for download and on CD.

Can we ignore, for a second, how amazingly beautiful and amazing that was, and just say that a male hit an octave above A440, which 99% of the sopranos in my choir can't hit.
It is one of the most gorgeous songs i have ever heard.
That's quite an impressive note for a male indeed! I'm surprised so few sopranos in your choir can hit it, generally if you sing in a higher range you'll gradually be able to reach it, I heard an alto get up to a G once!
shit was ass fr
chanticleer sang this song with my choir in san francisco 5 years ago!!!
This makes me cry every time I hear it. The melody is so ethereal and beautiful.
In a chaotic world such as the one we all live in, it's nice to be reminded that there are people out there we have yet to love. I like to think that sometimes, when I feel sad for no reason it's because I'm missing someone I don't know yet..... someone I'm destined to love. It's crazy to think that right now there's someone walking around who will be my whole world and they have no idea how important they'll be to me one day. This song reminds me that even though we're very small compared to the rest of the universe, our world is important. I dunno..... this song just makes me smile.
And the beautiful melodies speak to the part of my soul that doesn't understand words :)
Thank you for sharing that. you almost made me cry with just what you said while listening to this song.
Beautiful comment!
Do you know the song "The People that you Never Get to Love"? Kind of related, except sad because it suggests that there are also people that we COULD love, but won't.
I guess you found him, didn't you?
I am in chamber singers at my high school for choir at north high in Bakersfield. My choir teacher showed me this and I cried I've never felt such a beautiful attachment to a song. This is the reason why I love music its such a beautiful piece it makes me think of a galaxy all working together and how to relates to humans. Very beautiful thank you for giving me hope for music:)
...... um okayyyy o_0
From tiny cells to huge planets. We're all made of the same things. We are reflected in the stars and in each other. You definitely understood what this song is about
We are stardust and huge souls alltogether..........................
I wrote Erika Lloyd, the writer of this song and expressed the same sentiments. She graciously replied, stating how wonderful it makes her feel that this song connects with so many. people.
So far away
far away
So far away
far away,
when all will
shine
and all will
play
hey.
The stars will open up
and all will be
tiny pieces of galaxy,
reflected in you and me…
Cells,
planets,
same thing…
Bright electric lights
on all the leaves,
and everything
growing from a tree,
water’s blood,
and roots are veins.
I don’t know you
but I like you,
I don’t know you
but I miss you,
I don’t know you
but I need
you…
The smallest is
the biggest thing
and in all the world
the love
is the love
from me
to you…
I don’t know you
but I like you,
I don’t know you
but I miss you,
I don’t know you
but I need
you…
This cycle of members have a very special place in my heart❤
So, I don't really consider myself an emotional person, but someone told me to check this out, and I am speechless, this is the first song I've ever cried while listening to it, im such a fan of this song now.
This is by far the best song I've ever heard from Chanticleer.
I heard this live in concert a few years back and I just had tears just falling from my eyes. I ran out to the lobby afterwards and bought their CD asap haha. So beautiful to my ears. Thank you for sharing your voice!
Soloist: Casey Breves. Absolutely stunning, as always. :-)
Had a clinic with them today and they sang this song! So amazing. My new favorites
After watching this for about the 50th time, I realized that a good portion of this was filmed in Columbus! Wish I could've been there to see you guys! Love the song, well sung boys!
My choir teacher showed the class this. It is so good! So many goosebumps!!!
I had the oportunity to do a workshop with them this spring and this is one of the songs they sang for us. I was completely speechless in the front row. At one point my jaw actually dropped. I had goosebumps the entire song.
i literally just discovered this song today. thank you Chanticleer, Erika Lloyd and Vince Peterson
I sang this song in honors choir this year!!! absolutely beautiful
I got to meet Chanticleer on monday. I've been such a fan of theirs for years that it was impossible to describe what it was like to finally see them in person. I was moved to tears. Since then, I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. What a life it must be, out on the road, singing with your closest most talented friends, bringing incredible music to people all over the world. I want that. I would do anything just to relive the day I got to see them I don't know them, but I miss them. :')
My choir director plays this video every year and each time it's wonderful just like the first one.
I just heard this on Spotify today and came looking for it. Beautiful!
We're singing this in my choir and I honestly I feel so honored by the simple fact that I will know such a beautiful song.
I'm curious if they were singing out loud on the street as they walked. If they did what a treat for the people around them.
We were!
@@moltman1234 really?! Cool!
@@moltman1234 I am such a fan of you guys :) This song helped me survive the human trafficking that my family put me through during 2010-2012 because I really felt all your guys' love coming through your faces and the music. They hated your song and they of course said horrible things about it and me, but they let me listen to it anyway. Then I escaped. Now I'm listening to it to help me through Covid19. I'm in grad school studying environmental sustainability. I also love stars and trees and cells and planets. I'm Christian now, I wasn't before. Pretty sure your song helped me with that. :) Praise the Lord.
We are singing this in my High School choir and it's an amazing song!
I don't know if this is true, but I think the song is about human inter-connectivity with a phenomenal metaphor of a tree as the basis of all life.
yes plus the universe is included (they are Christian so it may refer to the garden of Eden and how God created all life, cells, planets, trees, people, out of the same thing (dust) :) And that makes us connected and miss each other even though we don't know each other. Us meeting and even hugging trees and looking at the stars is all the bits of the universe that were separated coming back together again and coming to know our inherent unity and that we come from the same thing (dust and God, our creator).
I was honored to have gotten to sing this incredible arrangement with a local choir! It is such an amazing piece, and I hope we did it justice!
i saw them live at the ACDA convention in Chicago and they were AMAZING!!!!
I saw you guys perform this at a small university in Wisconsin about 7 years ago. Brought me to tears it was so incredibly moving, & obviously stuck with me even to this day. Keep going!!
I was blessed to hear this song at ACDA's convention, and was in tears! I loved every song and this one especially. Long live beautiful music!
Eric Alatorre is such an amazing guy!! I remeber going to their concerts several times a year when Joseph Jennings was the director and Matt Alber, Matthew Oltman, Jay White, and many others were a part of the group. You're an amazing singer and I enjoy this video very much.
WHAAAT?! only 111,000 views? soooo under appreciated! :)
every aspect of this song... the lyrics, the ensemble...and especially the soloist was breathtaking and inspiring. it should be required that everyone has the chance to behold this masterpiece. Thanks you, chanticleer. Thank you for sharing your talent with us through song.
Love, love, love, love, love. Beautiful.
So gorgeous. I was so happy to meet all of you on Tuesday! Eric, bass power.
I sang this two years ago in the honor choir! I cried in rehearsal haha! U guys sounded great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let's assume I have been a fan of Chanticleer for, oh, 20 years or so. Now, let's assume that I saw the members as tuxedo clad musical perfection. Both of these are true. With this video, I see you as real people and it makes the tuxedo clad perfection merge with the real men. This is just so beautiful!!
Very beautiful music, guys!
My choir teacher showed us this! I love this song!
Saw them today at Rollins College. They were AMAZING! When they performed this song live it gave me chills!! What an amazing acapella group!!
I can't stop watching/listening to this
So amazing. I wanted to thank you for visiting Winter Park Florida about a month ago at Rolens College. I am a member of Park Singers and got to experience a master class with a few of you. I just wanted to thank you again. In that short half hour I think I grew more as a singer than I have throughout my high school experience. It is groups like this that inspire me to be the best I can be. Thank you so so much your time and effort really is appreciated. I hope I am blessed with another opportu
this has been my favortie song since i saw them perform it a few months ago. i cried.

I feel SO lucky to have gone to the clinic and have been taught by them...
OHMYGOSH. Amazing beyond words! Can't wait till your next concert!!!
We're singing this in choir (actually, I'm watching this for a listening assignment) and I can't understand the dislikes. This is amazing! Some of our sopranos can't hit any of those notes, let alone any of our men. Good job guys!
No doubt about it, a road trip with Chanticleer would be AWESOME!
Speechless! Thank you.
Oh my goodness, you guys got me crying again! Good crying good crying. I LOVE this video! How creative- using cell phones and web cams. Such sweethearts. I can't wait to see you perform this in NY, kings of your craft! ~Erika

Wow! We're just blown away. Absolutely gorgeous.
I'm so glad you guys put this up on YT. I've been addicted your guys' version of this since your concert at SFCM. So awesome.
I'm a senior in high school. I am in 3 choruses, of which I manage all 3 and another. 1 of the choruses I am is considered the most elite of the 4 choruses at my school. Every year my teacher picks amazing repertoire for us, but this year he felt he had the most capable students in this class. So back in November/ December we sang this song. It will be something I'll always remember. Chanticleer is an amazing group of pure talent and this gives me chills
and now i go watch every chanticleer video i can find for the millionth time. amazing as always.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!! I love absolutely everything about this video, song and performance. Chanticleer continues to inspire and touch hearts with their music. Thank you to all of you who worked on putting this together.
Wow, amazing! Thank you so much. Your artistry never ceases to satisfy. Liked the video a lot, but I love seeing you guys perform live more. I'll look forward to the next time I see you in concert.
You guys are inspiration to all musicians across the world! This video is amazing. As a Music Educator I enjoy showing this to my students and they are inspired to become better singers/musicians. Thank you so Much! Keep up the phenomenal work!
we are singing it right now! AWESOME!!!
i saw this intitally in concert a few months back in san luis obispo and it brought me to tears. i am so glad to finally be able to listen to it anytime i want now.

I watched you all in ACDA, and you actually brought me to tears. Just beautiful.
Watched them sing this today, live. It was my favorite song sung by them! :)
Wow. So good right now.
I too saw you in Chicago. You were beyond words..beautiful, magnifiscent, heavenly...plain amazing!
My absolute FAVORITE song from the concert! The soloist's (and everyone else's, of course) voice is amazing. Soooo glad they could come back to Houghton so I could see them twice! :D
I saw these guys in concert last March. I was tearing up during most of the songs.
SAW THEM TONIGHT AND ALL I CAN SAY IS OMG! absolutely stunning
I don't know you, but I like you. I don't know you, but I miss you. I don't know you, but I need you. The measure of man is not in violence, or how much he can lift, or how many he has laid with, but by his passion, dedication, and by his words. That being said, these young men are the standard. Real men with real good voices!
I love it. It's different but still gorgeous, just proves that you guys sound gorgeous no matter what style of music :)
I saw you guys in concert and each and every single one of you did a fantastic job! Soloist you have a beautiful voice and I hope you never quiet singing. I really hope I see you guys once again in a concert somewhere. Bravo...
Hermoso.
Gracias.

And to think we got them to come to La Crosse... wow. Beautiful!!
You have inspired choir kids in the Bay Area in ways that you probably don't realize. Take it from me, one of the moms. Thank you for making choir music even more special.
I member when I saw chanticleer in concert and afterwards I gave him a hug and told him he gave me chills when he sang this song

I love the way you sing this piece. Your harmonies are so tight. It is simply beautiful. I saw you guys years ago when I attended Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. I have been a big fan since that moment. Thank you for creating and presenting quality music.
Man that was beautiful guys. Fun to see you away from the stage.

You were fantastic at the ACDA convention! I was blown away by you Casey Breves. Fantastic voice. The best I have heard in a LONG time. Congrats on a great concert. I want to be a member of Chanticleer someday. It's been a dream I've had since I first saw you my junior year in Fargo, ND. You inspire so many men out there to keep on doing what they are doing. You inspire me.
found this on 8tracks. amazing and original sounding song!
Excellent groupe et bienvenu au festival de la Chaise-Dieu !
I just got back from a concert that they did in Union City. I met a couple of them. They're amazing singers, performers, and great people.
