Yeah they specifically pick the most mental and deluded people for the drama. The US version isn't really about helping anyone, it's mostly just the drama.
the cool thing about this episode though is that Gordon did manage to get through to her in the end and really helped them. She was in total denial and though everyone else was the problem typically.
A lot of the time I think they expect him to say that their food is good and that everyone else is wrong and somehow that will magically make people flood to their resteraunt again.
its not that they think he is going to think its wonderful, its more because they dont realize they are the lroblem and they get upset when they are called out, they are so lost in their delusion that they believe someone else is the problem and cant handle learning that they arebin fact the problem
