Too many employment agencies charged high commission on them in MY. Gulf States are worse, the employers cheat them despite having high GDP.

Singapore can do better. A lot better to take care and look out for the well being and safety of our foreign workers.
I'm guilty myself of sometimes of judging them negatively but they're human just like everyone else. I have slowly learned to accept them as an important part of Singapore and that we should just be kind to each other.
The spread of the virus through their ranks is our fault for overlooking the way they are living here in SG and they deserve us taking care of them and seeing this through the end.

This is only featuring the life of "better off" supervisor and coordinators. They forgot to feature about general workers with less than 3 dollar per hour wage :( What about those workers who are under bad employer? Many are exploited by their employer working more than 12 hours at some point and get only few hours of rest. Not all of them have Sunday off weekly. Not all have the entitlement to health consultation.

Yes but there is nothing that can really be done. What we can do is to show them respect and make them feel valued and appreciated for their part in nation building. Most Singaporeans still don't show them the respect they deserve and feel as though they are inferior beings. However, without them, our country is nothing.

I appreciate the government of Singapore for caring for these migrant workers , however this a new phenomenon and much more will improve In the future hopefully . During my working years from 2001 to 2008 we had non to care for us. Even though the MOM was available then too , but very few would dare to approach the MOM then because approaching the MOM could make you an enemy of your employer. But now I feel things have changed a lot . I lived in the dormitory called Bule star with each unit cramped with 16 workers , but we still managed . Now after the fine imposed on blue state dormitory things have changed in these workers living conditions. In Singapore working conditions or quite challenging. Often workers feel lonely .

Many companies in sg are mistreating migrant workers. No pay, horrible food, bringing them in lorries, not letting them go outside of their dorm, making them share a dorm with 7 other people. Making them pay out of their own pocket for catering and food when they only make 18 dollars a day. 18 dollars a day is not even fair at all. They are so severely underpaid. They have built the homes we are living in now. They have built houses, built roads under extreme heat, with terrible food, restrictive dorm policies and travel cramped together in a lorry like animals just to get paid 18 dollars a day? Many of them have kids and families back home and dont even get paid on time as mentioned in this video. So nope sg is rlly not the best place for migrant workers.. mayb the worst. Even in bangladesh they don't use lorries to transport people.

I think with the employment opportunity in Singapore they become successful in life. They have to be thankful for our government assistance. The current workers I find many of them are taking advantage of our kindness. They are so demanding and made us sick of their attitude. During this COVID 19 stay at home, the government assistance has really made them comfortable with the payout and accommodation. Just look at the way in FB they discarded the food that is given to them. In Malaysia, the government told their embassy to take care of them. In Singapore, their lives are far better. We hope they are more understanding, compromising, and cooperative.

They take advantage of vry kind employers but the truth is it's the employers who take advantage of their employees, because mostly employees don't know how to speak English that's the fact,if u treat them with respect and kind of course they will do the same.

Can your do one video on foreign Workers that are non-migrant. Whilst foreigners help with talent shortage, too much is just diluting the sg spirit. Can u do a vid on the middle class pain point, the selective hiring of these groups once some of these people are in mgt /control, competition & promotion & work place inefficiencies
