Like all press-fit / friction-fit items, you're not supposed to constantly take the shroud on and off, then back on again. The more you do that, the more you are wearing it out until finally it's going to loosen up to the point of no longer being functional at all. Ideally, you put it on once, then leave it alone and never touch it. If you decide after a few days that it's not for you; take it off and leave it off.
That's what I did with the optional press-fit / friction-fit clip that Leatherman sold separately for their 2nd Gen. Wave model. I attached it once, and I've left it alone all this time. It is as tight as a drum! But others complained that over time, their optional clips became horribly loose. I dug a bit deeper. Found out everyone who ended up with a loose clip was constantly removing and then reattaching the clip. No clue why they kept doing that. Just know that they did. These types of items are not meant for that. Attach it once, leave it alone. If you decide you want it off, later on; okay. But they're not designed for constant removal and install, several times.

That tailstand insert is different from mine. I bought mine about two years ago during a holiday sale. Mine is hard shiny plastic that I can remove with my fingernail.

Aspheric lens is fun to play with for this one.

FourSevens was pretty cool for a brief period back in the day. I still have a couple of their lights that I bought 12-13 years ago. Then they all but fell off the map and were pretty much only producing over priced, dorky lights. I hate to say that this light isn't doing anything that justifies the price for me. It might be interesting for people who are more into flashlight technology or emitters or something like that. It should really be around $55-60.
