All you need to know is this. The side quests are minimal, and shit (with the exception of arena/vr stuff). The main story is recreated extremely well, the character development/ interaction and voice acting is superb. The combat is the best ever in an FF and the visuals are stunning for the most part. This 100% makes up for the side missions that are really not as great as JorRaptor is implying. The ending.......just play it and decide for yourself
Why doesn't anyone just blitz the game in easy mode, then go back and do all the side stuff in chapter select on normal, except getting rewarded with 2x exp and ap, then when powerful enough take on hard mode?

You probably missed the golden age of final fantasy but hopefully you enjoy it and try some of the older titles too 7 though to 10 are solid picks If you can get over the graphics and dated play style. Controversial I know but xv royal edition could be good for a new comer the whole pack is better than day one n I feel its a descent enough game if a bit simple now its finally finished lol

Hi Jor I am 18 hours in but some textures on the ground, doors, texture pop in, on some stuff like bottles boxes are really bad almost PS3 like ish. And sections like in the sewers or the reactor are much better, better textures and sharp.
Yeah, don't skip the side content because otherwise you'll be done with the game inside of 15 hours. Its not a bad length, but I still think the asking price is too much for what isn't a finished experience.
So far, it is a remake. A pretty good one. I'm also not a big fan of the final chapter, but i get the need to put a boss fight there, and the "what if" stuff is probably going to be a side thing (i hope).

All final fantasy games have summons (aeons) in since final fantasy 3 not always the Same ones but mostly they are, the original 7 has all the classics and some extras
I read that this game will be divided in a 3 disc story prologue so to really finish the game you’ll need to have them all but if u pre ordered the game and I mean this first part u won’t need to pay as much as u pay for the first copy

well, there is no longer merit in selling mastered materia (like ''all'') for massive amounts of gil, materia doesn't replicate, too. if they removed this feature, they will surely remove the w-item glitch.
Funny how they said it might not arrive on time due to the current situation, yet it seems a lot of people (not just media) have gotten their copies almost a week early. I was going to wait for the reviews to see if it's worth it, impressed by the demo but still felt a little sceptical. From the brief details I've seen (trying to avoid seeing too much)... It sounds like it's a great game. I'm surprised to hear there are alot of extras and replay elements, they could of left some of the stuff I've heard being included out and people would of still lapped it up. It's nice to see they have added in loads of additional content and not just given us a bare bones remake. Good stuff.

Don’t know if you were updated already. When you start a new game it gives three “difficulty” options: Normal, Easy, and Classic. Classic is designed to mimic the original combat system. The characters still move about in a 3D environment, but they auto-fight and you control them by using the menu. Best I can relate it to is the combat in Dragon Quest IX.
@@kendallbolitho5344 No it doesn't. All it does is all the running around and the dodging for you. It doesn't set you up in the same play style or anything like the original. It still is a run around hack and slash.
@@thedevilinthedetails3061 the game is alot more than just a "hack and slash". There's alpt of tactics you can plan out here more so when it comes to the insane boss fights in the game. The hack and slash portion is simply there to fill the ATB gauge for you to use abilities and skills like in the original. So it really isnt that different from ff7 since it is turn base and your waiting for your gauge to fill to actually do something. It really good.
I find that half the content, specially secondary missions seem just copied and slapped on added extra content for the sake of filling the game with things to excuse splitting the series into several parts
That's ridiculous logic and it just makes you sound like a dick head. There are lots of younger FVII fans that know a great deal about the game. I'm 42 and my son is 20, he loves FFVII just about as much as I do.

It will take years for part 2. I heard it takes more than 50 hours to finish the game. So it's still massive. They split it into two massive games.

Side quests in ff games were always like that. You can't expect yakuza or witcher 3 level of quests from final fantasy.
5:07 how do you do the red buff looking attack when he impales the enemy on the ground?
You hold the attack button instead of just rapidly pressing it. Also have to be in Punisher mode, otherwise he'll do a slashing attack.
