Homecoming

My wife and I were lucky enough to accompany Zhang Tingjun on one of her trips back to her ancestral village of Ta Xia, in Fujian Province of China. Although she is half-American, 'Ting' is a direct descendant from this village, and can trace back her roots hundreds of years.
Taxia is a Hakka (Kheh) village, and being half-Hakka myself, I was interested to see the UNESCO World Heritage Tulou (communal fortress homes made of earth) of these Hakka villages, as well as to help 'Ting' explore the area for potential adventure sports.
