We are making custom improvements to XP Goldmaxx Power.
This specific detector in the video is improved almost to the limit.
XP Goldmaxx Power is fantastic machine, the only problem is that stock one is not deep enough. The detector in the video is tuned in every possible way every inside component is tuned and also chargeable battery Li-Po. I have tried so many detectors over the years but the depth wasn't good enough, when i tuned the GMP i am more than satisfied with the depth in which it is operating. Perfect for medieval era. Quick and accurate discrimination and of course the operating depth is unrivaled.
I am dealing with detectors for over 20 years and like i said the depth of the existing detectors is just not enough not only for me but for more professionally oriented people, so i was forced to tune detectors and this one came as the best with very accurate and quick discrimination and unmatched operating depth.
Excellent machine, I've got a Deus 1 but would still like to get my hand on a goldmax power. The Deus 1 has got goldmax power program 2 but I don't think it's the same.
So it should be TUNED Goldmax in the title because people look for adequate comparisation.
It took me a while to figure out what was going on here, but now I think I understand better. Sorry if it should be self-explanatory, but can I ask what conclusion you came to? It looks like the older XP Goldmaxx Power out-performed the Equinox 800 on depth and target size? The coil cable on my Teknetics T2 Classic, just over 2 years old, has failed but I have my little-used Goldmaxx machine (got 2nd hand a few years ago) as a back-up. I am not very experienced with it and its settings, preferring a screen to just signal sounds. I wondered about upgrading to an Equinox but if the GMP equals it, or betters it, I will stick with that. Can I ask what, if any, technical improvements you made to yours? I am guessing there are no official upgrades? Many thanks.
