- Welcome to my HD guide for this World War II game in Realistic difficulty. In these videos I complete all hidden objectives and hero moments. They also provide you with a full storyline with all cinematics.
In Realistic difficulty enemies are smarter and more accurate when shooting. You will also get into dying status after only one rifle shot, so you need to learn how to cover properly and interact with your team more. Also for the most part of the game your paramedic has only one med pack, so be careful. A way to conserve ammo is to pick up enemy weapons when you're going to be shooting from a spot for a period of time, then when you have to move, retrieve your own weapon. I use this tactic because the American weapons like the M1 Garand, Thompson SMG, are stronger and better than the enemy weapons. And make sure you don't miss any ammo pickups.
I will also upload in a different playlist all the supplemental videos that come with the game, about the WWII and the making of this game. Make sure to watch in HD and I hope you enjoy my walkthrough.
NOTE: In the Guadalcanal mission, even if you complete all the hidden objectives and hero moments, in the medals section you'll get only 2 of 5 medals.

My plane controls were inverted(for some reason and i can't turn in back). I dropped all my bombs on the big carrier and it still was alive, i didn't know you had to drop the bombs at the right place, enemies where unlimited and I didn't realized shooting the submarine was effective either and so i had to stop playing the game until like 5 years then i saw this walkthrough. This was the hardest mission that gave me all that scared feeling but i enjoyed it in the start until i came to to destroy the carriers part
When firing torpedoes or dropping bombs is really useful to take advantage of the minimap. Also I think the order in which I destroy everything is practical.

I QUIT this game because of this mission. I played MOH because I liked WWII 'first person shooters' not to fly a 'dive-bomber', AND.....I don't recall there being a 'guide' like "Drop your bombs HERE!" so, like you, I didn't know you had to drop the bombs at 'the right place'....played this mission so many times and I could never complete it.....I ended up throwing the game disk against the wall in my room.....true story.
Thr Plane And Turrent In Carrier Is Weak Point' To Take Em Out. Same With Destroyer
Just don't hold W so you can shoot them easily
Hundreds of bullets can also kill the Carrier and Destroyer

He was blinded, had blood all over his eyes, and a perfectly good plane. He could've worked and coordinated with Tommy. Bleeding and bailing into the ocean is asking for slow gruesome death from sharks.

World War 2 games needed more missions like these. Not just infantry. Just been watching the World At War Call Of Duty sea mission. Played it. Brutal.

I disagree.I hate missions like these. I wouldn't mind shooting from machinery, but controlling airplane? Lol no, it's not for me. I just played this level and 3 times( Idk maybe it's glitch)I got to my boys (they were circling) and they say Tommmmyyyyyy without a reason. I didn't fly in the sea, nor go up on heaven I was simply going on their directions and they yell Tommyyyyy and it's game over. Have to start over again.
I'm not talking down to you, but sorry but all the mainstream ww2 games of the 2000s weren't "democratic " or rather, comprehensive enough. Always Infantry. Then they gave us these air battles and the like and it broke it up a little, gave us a chance to test our skills in other fields. Arman Trto

Conlin flew pretty dang good with that sbd3 dauntless. That's the best fighter mission ever. 15:31 not realistic of the plane turning because if it was real it will stall but everything else is so realistic. Conlin that was an awsome and lucky landing. who would fly a sbd3 dauntless and conlin does not have a parachute but Danny does. What if he got shot down and he need to bail

And fun fact: The sbd gunners also had flight controls in case the pilot gets incapacitated
The bit where he jumps over the canopy and into the cocpit is cool

1) You can press (ctrl) to switch to third person view. (It crashes frequently to fix this you have to exit the game while it is running and re-enter it.
2) Press (F) to activate the bombs and ( [ ) to change ammo. With the secondary attack you release them.

Historical inaccuracies for fun!
1: Dauntless's are no match for Zero's, as the Zero is a fighter and the Dauntless is a dive bomber.
2: A dauntless could only carry at max 1000lbs of bombs. So to carry 4 bombs would mean they would have to be 100lb, which would do nothing to a carrier.
3: A dauntless can't carry a torpedo
4: A carrier would have FAR more protection than just a destroyer.
5: The only US carrier by this point in the war, was the USS Enterprise, as every other carrier had been sunk by the Japanese.
6: You don't throttle down to land. You actually cut your engine and dropped onto the deck and HOPED that you caught one of the wires that would stop you from going over the deck.

*BUT ME*
- The US still had a lot of standard fleet carriers left at that time, not counting light and escort carriers. Namely, Saratoga, Enterprise, Ranger, Lexington (the second one), Essex and several more.
- That one Japanese carrier is Akagi, which has been sunk long before this mission. This mission is probably around March 1943 - November 1943, while the Akagi sunk at Midway on 5th of June 1942.
- No Japanese carrier were sunk by enemy aircraft after Midway until the Battle of Leyte Gulf in 1944
- You don't cut the "Engine", you cut the "Throttle" on the LSO's signal when landing on a WW2 CV. You miss the arresting cables, you're going into the barriers.

When first time i played this mission i was confused of enemy fighter and friendlies one, especially on turret section. Then i realised that don't worry about it because basically friendlies would be go far away
I've always wondered if the dialogue in the next mission and end credits are different if you don't shoot the Japanese plane that's tailing Frank's plane.

If Mike and Frank got rescued then it's all good for Frank he'd be going home

I like how every other mission were still somewhat historically accurate as much as they could do. And then they decided to revive Akagi from Midway just to sink her again in this mission lol
I guess they planned the Midway mission, seeing how well done the carrier model is, but the budget got cut midway.
I don't know why I had to take out those last three zeros. In this video, they take them out. It took me hours and several tries to get to those planes with no help. Another glitch happens if I pass over the island. It triggers the next scene, but one of the pilots gets shot down and I have to start over. Finally got out of game hell.

This may be a glitch, but the zeros are always behind me in a bunch, not like the red targets here that are spread out in this video. I circle, they cross my path then veer off at superspeed before I can get behind them. They are never out in front where I have time to aim using a mouse for altitude control. I've flown away from the island and back to try and get a better angle, but they are always behind me in a group, and take me out. Sometimes they crash into me.
Ok I'm just gonna say it because it's driving me nuts. Why the heck would you go in a sbd dauntless and not bring a parachute with you just in case the plane is shot down or on fire😱😂. But this mission is so amazing

When I try to destroy the middle. Why didn't the middle of the carrier explode? It should've exploded not stay indestructible. So why? Did I do something wrong?

Okay, so I counted the amount of planes that Colin took out, correct me if I'm wrong, but the total would be about 26 Enemy Planes. Three were Betty Bombers, the other two seaplane. Do those count? Cause if not, then the amount would be 21 planes. I'm also counting the Zeros on the Japanese Carrier

I believe you can look it up in your keyboard config. There's a key to switch between bombs and torpedo, and another one to use them. The rest is just good timing and practice.

There actually were events where aircraft with heavy machine guns could do heavy damage to destroyer, although that was more from steep dive where it could actually penetrate thinner deck instead of 30 mm thick hull.

You must focus on the bullets and not the crosshair. You should aim where the plane is going to be, not where it is.

Because he said he was injured and couldn't see a thing, also later in the mission one of the flying pilots said that a US rescue boat rescued that pilot from water

Ugh how I fucking HATED this mission. It was hard as fuck. Took me 3 years to past, quit playing for a few years because of this mission, ridiculously difficult. With keyboard and mouse it’s a bitch.

If you want to use bombs change the alternative fire to space trust me it works and right click does nothing after mins of figuring out it pissing me off for no reason

Teitoku PKU from what i know the BTD could carry torps not the SBD
