Just watched The Terminator in honor of Bill Paxton. I believe in my lifetime we will see this technology inside the bodies of the realistic human looking Japanese dolls. It's size is small so as not to scare us. It Is a bit scary to watch cybernetic technology growing so fast.
They really need to integrate ASIMO with IBM's Watson cloud service. That way, instead of canned, pre-programmed performances, ASIMO could be truly interactive in answering questions and performing simple physical tasks on demand. Truly, with the interactivity and "intelligence" afforded by a Watson "brain" as demonstrated by this Kickstarter project, www.kickstarter.com/projects/522717158/cognitoys-internet-connected-smart-toys-that-learn, ASIMO would be SO much more impressive and give the feeling that our SMART robotics future is nearly here.
