Wow. That is actually a great clean use of these. A simple minded old person in his 80s-90s would most greatly love to have these kinds of robots as personal servent. Better then people when you hear and see how some of them treat old people. And also they will be purchased a lot because most 70-80+ years have enough money to retire as well . That is actually a great selling point for these

I'm still Samsung S20 as that's enough of a handheld computer for now. Want the S24 or Iphone 15. A phone and gaming computer a couple years old is plenty unless doing some hardcore tech work or 8K gaming.

Yes, it sure is. Asimov was a great science fiction writer as was Orwell and Huxley too. I do wonder if they were blueprint plans for the future like esoteric prophecies serving the beast system. Lots of people were scared of sci-fi and tech saying stuff like that will never happen, but it is happening. Real life is even more fascinating than the old movies, but they were the big ideas that put all this into motion. The thing is we still need real world solutions to so many problems escalating out of control.

If I were to teleoperate an Optimus robot in the US over the Internet from my home in Europe and used it to kill someone, would I be guilty of murder? Would I be charged in Europe or the US? If I used A VPN, how would anyone ever be able to trace it back to me or prove I had anything to do with it? I guess it'd be very similar to all the remote controlled drone killings. Interpol and the UN world court in the Hague might over see international crime as have happened. However, the UN is not an adequate world governance nor is the WEF and World Government Summit adequate and good in our best interests. You could be extradited between US, UK, and EU countries for crime as have happened. VPN's protect against hackers, but governments and those 3 letter agencies can get past data encryption. It could be tricky that the days are gone when a good alibi was to simply prove you were somewhere else when the crime took place which saved my butt when I was a kid being accused of stealing gas and things. The police found me at home playing Nintendo with my mom reading a book as she did often. My brother was out stealing gas, womanizing, and being bad. Generally one has to obey the laws of the place or country they're in at any given time.

@@Adrianrainman That would be brilliant. So when robots are doing all the mundane tasks humans don't actually want to do, how does half the population earn $30,000 to buy one? I'm less concerned by "robots taking our jobs" and more concerned by no significant politician or business leader proposing any alternative to our current society, which means when the low-wage jobs dry up due to automation, millions of people will have no income at all.

If they have actual useful AI that can learn then they'll definitely have to program Isaac Asimov's three laws of robotics into them. Which means their programming will be a closed system (somehow) and they will HAVE to be monitored at all times by a massive cental hub to make sure they are operating properly.

What a fantastic world awaits people, who have big money. People who will build- and sell robots. People who nearly run their whole factories with robots. People who have a small business where you can rent their robots ...
All you need at first, is money. But where to get the money, if you don't get a job? Tadaaa! Then there will rise two kinds of slaves. Poor people and robots. Humanity will go down. By their "own" hands.
