      Neo looks like a person in a Robot suit with a mechanical hand stuck onto the end of each arm. Assuming it is really a robot, it looks very advanced and human-like in all of its movements. But the phrase "fake it till you make it" comes to mind whenever I see it. They ought to show it operating without its robot suit just to allay the reservations of skeptics like me.

    • @zSion

      @vulpo It is a robot but in most cases where it looks humanlike, it's because it's being tele operated by a human. It can still do stuff without tele operation but not to the same realistic degree

    now I don't mean that Robots should do things very fast, but the fact that all these Robots do things slowly, may it be walking or just doing a task, makes me wonder if the Ai itself in them is not fast enough to be able to perform fast actions, hence the slow moments.

In their current form and level of functionality, they are absolutely useless to the average person or business.
    They also exaggerate capabilities. Like Isaac folding clothes but they don't show it. Even if they did it would probably just show it folding an article of clothing (if not an easy towel) that was already spread and laid out for it. Not get a pile of clothing out of the machine and pull individual pieces from the pile and then proceed to fold and stack them.

    A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
    A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
    A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

    13:25 is this a joke? If i was to make a Top 10... and there were only ten robots IN THE WORLD... i still wouldn't put that *muppet* on the list. It is pathetic and an insult to robotics.
    The movement is below a DYI project, the thing is constantly remote controlled (they even use headsets for it to "talk"), and its so called autonomy is pre-recorded. It CANT stand up when pushed over. It cant take a step on stairs. It shuffles everywhere. Two of them glitched out during the "robotaxi" event (seriously, look closely at the dancers at the end of the routines - they even had to lower the curtains to hide the glitches) and overall ANY demo ever shown proved to be a FRAUD. Heck, it was on a robot expo and BEHIND GLASS since it couldn't do jack sht IRL.

    When they figure out the brains, it’ll be nice to have a $500 non humanoid form factor that can fit in a duffel bag or back pack. Pop it out while traveling and have it figure out the foreign washing machine, do an item check on videography gear,

      @FeralGuardian 2 месяца назад

      @@cocieto496 Well yes.... and no. The G1 is supposedly for sale for 16k. Nobody seems to know how to buy one, and the one you can buy for 16k? Can't be programmed. You have to get the edu version for that, at anywhere from 32k list to up to 50-60k when you can actually find one. So it's really not as simple as you might think.

    Robots are very slow. I don't know how they will be very helpful to society. I haven't heard or read yet about this issue. As robots become more able to walk, talk, and move at a pace closer to being human, I know I will fear them.

      Not really. This research has been going on for years. The learning ability that LLMs represent was just a critical bottleneck that we've recently started to get past. We've been sitting at the one breakthrough needed stage for a while now.
