Love these break-downs. It gives great perspective and makes it much easier to appreciate the orignal content and what it takes to replicate it with authority. 🙂
Thanks!
When I saw Zeppelin at MSG in '77, during one of the drum fills toward the end of Moby Dick, Bonzo did some crazy fill that threw them all off,. Jimmy & JPJ just looked at eachother and kinda nodded and exaggerated to come down together on "one". I caught it. I wonder how many other people caught it.
I’ve been waiting for this for decades.
😂🙏🏼
A true Master! You are my Bonzo!!
Thank you sir for giving...long live the mighty Bonzo...
My Go-to Gurus: George, Terry And Bonhamalsowaltzes. You guys are the kings. Hands down.
Thanks Kevin!
Thanks Kevin!
💯
Love these breakdowns. THANKS Professor!!!!
Wonderful stuff - Bonzo was beautifully complex ! Thanks for showing us this.
Super fun! Great explanation and breakdown sounds incredible
Thanks, Tony
Excellent video! 👍
Great breakdown George, love that para-diddle-diddle! "What the hell is he doing there?" A question we've all asked watching Bonzo at times. Also, I can totally relate to some screw-up happening with the camera, not hitting record, etc. as well. Groove on! ✌❤🥁
Thanks Dave!
Loved it! You are so skilled it’s ridiculous! And oh, that Vista ❤️
Cheers from Sweden!
Superb as always George! 🙌
Fabulous playing my man George!! Woohooooo!!!
Thanks!
Love it. Those misguided souls who thought/ continue to think bonzo was a plodder/pounder
super excited to watch. i have been trying to figure out a couple of those licks for 20 years and I hope you have cracked the code!
Another spot on performance. Thank You! George and Happy! New Year🎉
Just playing that drumkit
Must be a blast!
You can really play like Bonzo with that setup and sound
Cost $3,000.00
Last I checked
Please please please don’t stop there! 😁 can you demo the follow on bars as page fades out and bonham starts soloing. There is that amazing dialog between bass drum and snare
No,i’m not happy I want a 12 hour live stream just on Moby Dick tomorrow from noon till midnight with a 30 min lunch break at 6:00 pm now is that asking to much lol. Thats how much I love it when you do these videos George.
😂
In the 60's I didn't know anything about paradiddles in Norway, I wonder what John knew in the 60's and where he got that information from, must have been in drum textbooks, it was for people who played jazz, not rock. Something we didn't know about here, we just listened to records and played. Drum technique came later. Today with youtube everyone knows everything. He must have laid several horse heads before everyone. Thanks for good teaching George. You are fantastisc😀
Thank you! I know that he took a couple lessons with a guy that I actually met, named Gary Allcock. He said he gave him some basic rudiments. So I'm sure he got some of those basics down.
@@BONHAMOLOGY important hours yes very cool. thank you for answer😀
Unbelievable as ever, just too good, I'm knocked out
Another great video! Thank you for taking the time to remake it after forgetting a camera the first time!
🤘 nice I needed this
I'm a guitarist and play a 'bit' of drums. Nonetheless this is fantastic and above all - fun and entertaining.
Thank you so much George! Always an inspiration
3:45 to 7:45 are priceless.
thanks, bro
Hey George! Hope you’ve been doing well! Do you have plans for any future livestreams? I think I speak for everyone when I say that those are just a treasure trove of fun and cool information!
I don't at the moment but I will at some point. Thanks
Love it buddy...
(tur story) my son who is 12 told me the other day 'dad i want to learn the drums' i said 'son go watch BONHAMOLOGY and you will'............he has been watching you since, and the pans and pots in my house have been dancing along 😁😁😁
Nice!
OK professeur George !!
holy crap it looks like you cracked the code on that 3rd break! strong work!
😂👍🏼
Very nice breakdown of the breakdowns. Tom petty would be proud the way you go ahead n give it to em 😆🤣
Thanks for the return msg. I was thinking it would be nice to do a tribute to Ronnie Tutt drummer for Elvis. I believe he had just passed away recently. He is also a GREAT drummer. I think it would be a good challenge for you. Thanks paul
Yes, I'm not a huge fan of Elvis but Ronnie Tutt was a great player
You are simply amazing - love your stuff....
Thanks George! Great as always!👍
Always enjoyable, always helpful very informative. Thanks again how do I get access to your PayPal?
Thank you, the link is in the video description above.
I love this breakdowns, i feel like a student, and you are the best teacher, some times i wish i could play this video slower, my head is old😀
Ha! Thank you! You know you can slow RUclips videos down, look up a tutorial on how to do it on RUclips. You just go to settings and select the speed
thank you, i did not know hah@@BONHAMOLOGY
This is good. And the drums sound awesome
Pretty awesome. Cheers! ✌️🥁
Great stuff George god bless
I was going to comment those drums looked like Terry's don't give em back 😂 How did the shows go with PFOZ ? Keep Rockin George 🤘Hey toTerry ✌
Awesome thanks George can you please
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I wish i could meet geore!
Excellent! Are you still planning on breaking down "Moby Dick", off of Led Zeppelin 2 (studio version)?
Yes, I am
great can't wait
@@BONHAMOLOGY
Haha, I got the Easy One first try.
Interesting enough, it's usually harder to play those figures slower than full tempo!😄
George, did Bonham use a separate stand for his rack tom on this kit or only on the earlier sets?
Only for the maple thermogloss kit for a short time, and with the green sparkle for a few days!
@@BONHAMOLOGY it certainly did look cool with the Tom stand. I wonder if there is a benefit to having it, vs. not
👏👏👏 ❤❤
🪘❤️👍☕️
8:51 Darlene outro fill?
Yes, very similar
Slowing that shite down is so hard to do. What is that????
I think JB always used 42 strand snare wires.
George Fludas hands down on every Bonham drum you always dissect. I do have something to ask. Can I have your email address? I want to acquire some info about drumming especially from Bonham
