Great, beautiful dive video and thank you for sharing! Just a little detail here. Certainly the scorpionfish seen at 11:05 is, to be sure, highly venomous (some of the dorsal fin spines eject venom upon contact with another living animal). However, within that same family of fishes (the Scorpaenidae) the stonefish (of which there are a few different species) is actually the most venomous, and hence most dangerous, by far of all fishes within the Scoepaenidae. The one species of stonefish to occur in the Red Sea is *Synanceia verrucosa* (note that the stonefishes are in the subfamily Synanceiinae). It has been my experience that a lot of folks often call a scorpionfish a stonefish (our diving guide in Raja Ampat did this until we showed him that an actual stonefish, though a rather close relative, is actually not a scorpionfish). Please note that at 11:05 above is not a stonefish. But it is a rather venomous scorpionfish, perhaps the tassled scorpionfish / *Scorpaenopsis oxycephala*. Probably more information than most folks might want to know, but just wanted to mention this as you did request an identification of the fish at 11:05. Thanks again for the great Red Sea dive video!
@@Juscz wow absolutely love the detail here! Thank you for sharing this and identifying the most venomous fish! I actually thought that was a stonefish when recording haha
Currently here in Sharm , done the first dive ever in my life 7metres with instructor, I credible experience. First few minutes was anxious about breathing but once you get a hold of it out its the most beautiful thing ever
@@FREAKYGANGSTA so glad to hear your experience was incredible. It really is so different to any thing you’ve ever done. Will you go back to Sharm? We’re thinking of visiting again.
@@Junique3 glad we ended up finding them too. We had some dives with another company that were underwhelming. But the dives with elite just made the trip.
@@SuperMicmil very jealous ! We watched this the other day is missed the trip! We would recommend elite diving, British family who have a great team and priced really well. We researched around 12 company’s and they were abit corporate. The people we met on the boat with elite had been using them for years . All the best
Ive dived sharm twice and the thistlegorm is an amazing experience, make sure you have a bright wide torch as its pitch black in some places but the cargo still in it is amazing, the current is strong so you have to decend and acend via a rope, but its a MUST and i have dived all over the world even Maldives and yet the red sea is the best so far, good luck and welcome to the advanced club and continue safe and pleasant diving 👌
@Deepdrivegolf not really, I've dived Maldives and it was not that bad but the red sea was better, I'm trying to find a dive in the Maldives with the manta rays then I've done my bucket list, see diving 👌
Question on the gopro mount. In the part where you mention you accidentally left the gopro running, was it mounted to the scuba mask? If so, which one do you use? I’m interested in filming under water hands free, so I’m looking for possible options 😊
@@lanadeclerck hey we used a GoPro 10 and didn’t use the filter. Just getting used to filming so maybe the filter next time but I think without and some color grading it came out great
@@colinwilkinson93 yes it is. A great dive computer and the oceanic app is great. Gives options for 1 days use, weekly or monthly! I love to look back at my dives when the date transfers to my iPhone and the app. Does everything these other dive computers do plus the Apple Watch functions 🙌🏾
Hi Deeptii thank you so much! We used two GoPros. The hero 9 and the hero 12 and we went in December which is off season so less people but less warm water too!
❤❤❤
Thanks!!
Amazing guys! Going tomorrow!!
Wowwww we are soooo jealous! Can’t wait to go back! Let us know if you have an amazing experience. Who are you diving with?
I’m learning scuba diving at summer I’m soo excited

Yesssss. H found this amazing mask with mount from Osprey. Both our wetsuits and masks are from there! Great brand.
Um....Nitrox doesn't mean you have more air, it means you won't hit your NDL as fast as you will on air....
