Heh. They've come a long way, Laycee. I had a folding bike when pedaling around Argentina decades ago, but… the hinge rusted so badly that I finally just had it welded unfolded. That was too bad, because it was so much easier to take with me on buses and trains when folded.
Oh wow. Yes, the convenience factor is high but your bike is great because the riding position is very comfortable looking. Maybe that will be your next project Mark! haha :)

My Veego semi fat can fold and fit in the back of my tiny Yaris hatchback w/o having to lower the rear seat. Freedom to go exploring places away from home. The only limitation is its short range.
Another use case for folding eBikes is being able to take them as luggage onto a train, tram, bus or subway. This allows you to greatly expand the number of places you can access in your region efficiently without needing a car. Unfortunately, this is still a stronger space for acoustic bikes, since most folding ebikes weigh more than 50 lbs and are not designed well to be carried folded. The best players in this space are the super premium brands like GoCycle and Brompton, which cost thousands of dollars. By attaching straps, I have managed to make my XP Lectric Lite more transit-friendly, but it's still not the most elegant solution.
