Absolute solidarity with the sofa-anxiety-gang. Newton’s second law of anxiety or something; every action needs an unequal and unnecessary over-reaction. 17:26 Rob literally does the same beckoning motion as Ames with the “come on, you have to give up and go to bed” 😂
We boaters are quite lucky aren’t we! Our bills are smaller than living in a house (most of the time) and we mainly have the most amazing scenery and sunsets. Storms aside, I will never go back to a house. If you can work from your boat, that’s a plus too! ❤️❤️
Bills are smaller but generally there are lots of high costs elsewhere as always something going wrong. I just would not like to mislead anyone as really not a cheap way of living
The name of your boat has just reminded me of a film I've been trying to think of for days! Thanks for that! 😂😂 You have a new subscriber by the way! ME. 😁😁 Commiserations about the Dungers!
Guys, I don't mean to laugh at your anxieties but this was hilarious tonight🤣🤣. Well done to Rufus for being the bravest boy on the boat 👍. Wes, your cooking skills are proper impressive - the fried rice looked amazing 😋 (I'm still thinking of the cookbook 🤔) And can I just say the opening background music to the vlog was excellent 👌
Great video. I think I would be like Wes and not enjoy the constant sound of the wind and the rocking. The smoke blowing back in was scary. Loved the recreation of what the boat was doing 🤣😂😅 I am glad it didn’t do as many flips as Wes had anticipated 😂 😊🤗 Kathy
Good afternoon both of you. I really love being on my boat in bad storms. There is something very soothing about being sat in front of the fire, watching tv and having a whisky while it blows a hooligan and pours with rain outside. I actually cant imagine anything better to be honest. You will get used to it and even learn to love it. Keep your peckers up and enjoy. Take care, Peter.
You two make me smile and giggle every vlog that I watch. I live in Georgia, USA. I like learning a little about the UK and see some of your beautiful country. Thank you for sharing. Wes, I too suffer with anxiety and depression watching how you handle it helps a lot. Love the pets. I love animals . It's great to see how you make things work for them on the boat. Keep up the good work and great entertainment! Stay safe.
Hi Wes and Amy we have a bird swivelling chimney cowl from “Smokey joes” which stops the blowback in high winds and increases the draw on the stove when there isn’t much wind. Keep the vids coming you two are such nutcases ( in a hilariously good way) ps we met briefly on the K&A last year nor the “cunning man” xx
Thank you so much for this video, it gave me quite the epiphany! I thought i wanted to get a boat with a cross bed in it, but realizing how rocking in high winds would make it a head to foot rocking motion, I would be horribly sick in minutes. Traditional in-line bed it shall be, I much prefer a hammock style side to side rocking motion when trying to sleep. You've saved me from a costly error.❤
Hi Amy and Wes. Wow that was windy. I sometimes like to listen to the wind when I’m tucked up in bed but it doesn’t rock my home though 😊 Take care. Nick
Just glad the boat never flipped over! Although, that would never be the wind, just mind control that could achieve that! As long as I'm confident about the ropes being moored to something sturdy, like armco, I enjoy being cosy in the boat. Not the same if I just have mooring pins in, then I CAN get a little nervy!
My word that was a scary storm so glad you got through it safe and sound the wind is a scary thing even pigs scream at it when I was a child I cried for them and wanted to bring them down into the house tc nowthe oldies 🤗🤗👍👍👋
We love the wind as we have a wind turbine on our roof😂 free power most of the time. We've be scared when the wind has been about 55pmh as we should take it down, and we can't get on the roof. Fly away time..makes for a crazy night😮.
We were in a dip that night. We were lucky because the noise seemed to pass over us. The carnage on the towpath the next morning, and us running around grabbing the wood 😂
I went mad during a named storm and had a private mooring for a few days somewhere sheltered. It was brilliant :-) I moored up behind you guys on the K&A once xx
Another cracking vlog guys 😊 they just keep getting better each time, and this one was hilarious 😂. Who would have known living on a Narrowboat was such an extreme sport 😎❤
Great vlog as always! You moored up in exactly the same spot as we did, but in late summer 2022, so we had sun and no wind - it was a good spot. As you know, we are on a widebeam and I found the winds scary this year but really felt for anybody in a narrowboat. Love watching your travels - go well and be safe lovely people xx
If you have a spare pin or chain, you can use your centre line to moor up as well. With that running from the top of the boat to the armco it limits the rocking motion somewhat.
Love the cooking Wes. It looked scrumptious! Rufus, good job you’re the brave one - life jackets in the cupboard….brilliant!! Loved this vlog - I’m sure it was scary at the time but it made for excellent entertainment 😁
It is a strange thing being on a rocking boat esp as a friend of my dad who used to go sea fishing with us was deaf and he could walk about on a rocking boat like he was just on dry land,it was odd to see at first but his balance was a lot different to us,he was a scaffolder and he was like a mountain goat at his job, great guy, caught some decent big fish too 😃
I love stormy nights while I'm tucked up & cosy in the warm.🤗 As it occurred to me, 🤔 watching Rufus, FYI, did you know that all vegetables in the onion 🌰 family are poisonous to dogs? 😕They can't eat the tastiest vegetable on the planet.🌍🌰😐
Wind blowing against the bank=great for mooring up but bobbar for leaving a mooring Wind blowing away from the bank=great for leaving but bobbar for mooring 🤘🏻😃🤘🏻🛶⛵️🚤🛥️🚢⛴️🛳️

@@janecox4173 that’s why I put “most of the time”. 🥰 Yes, it can be costly but I’ve been lucky so far. It’s still cheaper than running a house.
@@wendycrooks875 xx I am in a static by the sea now and even cheaper (residential) . Miss my boat millions though xx
💜💙💚
Fab vlog again guys. I was cracking up at Wes swaying the boat and dramatising the storm 😂 😊
The reconstruction time lapse 😂 glad you all survived ❤ xx

That was hysterical. Thanks for the entertainment ❤
Brilliant episode!! Overactive imaginations really don't help when there's a storm do they!! I would be exactly the same 🥰🥰🥰
Life jackets are in the cupboard made me LOL for real
always prepared 😂😂

You go into a high state of alert guys and I know that tensed up body state very well. You handled it as you always do. Well done.💪❤❤❤❤

Not much of a storm if you were here but it's all in your perspective. Hope you have bumpers for the boat.
That must be horrific. Not sure I could cope with that swaying. Glad ur all ok tho. ❤
