- Narrowboat life is full of risks, but one that you might not expect is trying to find the perfect spot. In this episode, we continue up the Grand Union Canal on our little floating home in search of what appears to be the perfect spot. But after assessing the situation for a few minutes, we take a big gamble, and move on ahead. Will the risk be worth it? Or will we regret our decision? 🎲😬

Weirdly I missed this vlog when it came out and have only just seen it but I wanted to say that I love your vlogs and it’s people like you who bring some joy and interest to the canals. The canals wouldn’t survive without people on them. You two are fab. I love your down to earth approach and the inclusive, authentic and open attitude to life that comes across in your vlogs. 😊
That guy you met is a well known ranter. Don’t take it personally. He had a massive go at me once when I was single handing through cosgrove lock and asked him if he could shut the gate behind me.

SUGGESTION: when putting away seasonal clothing, perhaps keep 1 outfit aside for the 1st days of changed weather. Also, you could drill holes in the bottom of that tire to allow the water to drain out easier. SO excited to see you both enjoying your lifestyle. Hugs from Louisiana!

I think G G may need some ex golf buggy tyres to save your paintwork when mooring, at least they are not too big to take up valuable space in your roof lockers but handy to have if needed. It’s so lovely seeing you and some of the other RUclips boaters on Narrow escapes. I got told off at the Weeden Bec laundry. It really upset me. Some people don't realize that one little thing can really put you on edge. It wasn't even my fault. Oh well I just had to remind myself that everyone else had been so mice and friendly. So it was a him problem not a me problem.

I'm curious about all the NC State and UNC shirts that Wes wears regularly. I'm originally from North Carolina but havne't heard Wes talk about whether he'd spent time there.
Aw, poor Doops😢. All three nights the Northern lights were supposed to be visible here…..we were clouded in and couldn’t see anything even though we live rural and I tried with my phone it didn’t matter. I have seen them with my naked eye twice in my life though, on very cold crisp winter nights. 👍🏼🙋🏼♀️

Wes, please wear a hat in the strong sun! And sun prot3ction of yiu dont already🤔. Especially with no hair. My husband got skin cancer on his head and face from many years of working outside when he was building. Also Lidle oat milk is very good.

If you put one or two holes in the bottom of the tire it will drain faster
Can’t u get an automatic change over valve? Would save a lot of hassle ❤
Drill a hole in that tyre and you won't have to struggle emptying it.

Just think how many people enjoy your vlogs and look forward to watching them every week , not everyone has the opportunity to travel and have the adventures you do and so it’s great to come along with you for the ride . You can’t please everyone so don’t worry about trying .❤️❤️
I get why some people think RUclips has made the canals busier BUT without the videos the canals wouldn't be busy which would mean they'd need more maintenance and the fees would probably be 2X+ what they are now, I'm happy more people are using them and showcasing them not just for us in the UK but for the rest of the world, keep going guys, ignore negative people

Grumpy man is a bridge hopper who has been on the Cosgrove/ MK section for years. He gives everyone grief, he is not the full shilling.
When you get time fit a valve that allows you to switch over to a new bottle. Makes life a bit easier 😊
Oh and I can definitely sense a more relaxed pace on the vlogs since Wes left his job. It’s nice to have longer ones, thanks!
When they’ve expressed their opinion, just say “There We Are Then..” - You know what it abbreviates to, and you’ve just called them that in a totally non-confrontational way! Don’t let them get to you, focus on the 15,000 who DO want to see your videos!

May I ask what the temperature would be when Wes said his legs are sweating in his sweatpants? I'll hazard a guess it was about 23°C. Just FYI for me in 🇦🇺 23C is too cold for swimming and I typically wear long trousers or jeans at that temp or below.
Wes you need to remember that if all you canal boat owners wasn’t on the canal, then all the canals would be abandoned & fallen into disrepair 😱 So just ignore the very few scum that have no life of there own & you my lad carry on being the happy chappie that we all know & love ❤️❤️❤️❤️ X X X

Do these people who knock you realise if boats don't use the canals they will just silt up. Then they would have something to moan about as the tow paths would be unwalkable and unpleasant.
