- Let's check out Alaska Airlines First Class from Washington to Washington. We'll review the lounge, seat, food, entertainment, and the crew on this five hour flight across the United States. You'll see the window views, hear the engine, and walk away with a sense of Alaska Airlines First Class!
Here's a link to the full take-off and landing along with some in-flight footage:

Alaska Airlines wasn't in the original #TransconThrowdown because they didn't offer a lie flat seat. If you want to check out that series, here's a link:
jeb.flights/TransconThrowdown
But, despite not having a lie flat seat, Alaska Airlines First Class was amazing. The food was great, the seat was comfortable, but it was the Alaska Airlines crew that set this flight apart. Just listen to the Alaska Airlines Captain's announcement. That, alone, made the Alaska Airlines flight special.

That's an amazing captain's announcement. I would love to get that kind of info on every flight!
Just a bit disappointed we didn't learn the Captain's shoe size so 9/10 for the announcement from me! Certainly agree with the engaged cabin crew, it makes any flight on any carrier a memorable experience.
Maybe he's a two or three striper trying to remember information for a check exam thus reciting it to the pax? Maybe it's a nod to the Air Canada "Gimli Glider" incident -- a flight where the fuel calculations were botched due to the recent conversion to the metric system?
that was the best announcement ever.. Very well done.
Jeb Brooks i would like it if the captin of my next flight is like this one
@@nolantherailfan5048 he was very good just shows you some captains do care about there passengers to make there flying experience a good one .
As an aircraft fueler, I appreciate the shoutout. We don’t get much appreciation.
Next shout out goes to waste removal haha...
Same for us baggage handlers, all us below wing people tend to get very little recognition
Bagage sorter here!
❤️❤️ I agree @ray
AW YEAH LETS GO RAMPERS 🙌🙌🙌
Thumbs up for the Lufthansa Freight MD-11.
T SERIES SUCK DICKS “freight” “cargo” same thing.
The MD-11 is my favorite aircraft.
It's a shame they don't use it in commercial service or I'd book a flight ASAP. :(
RedPandaGaming , I agree! I’m just happy they are still flying. My all time favorite is the L-1011, they are extinct from the air except for two individual aircrafts.
Benjamin Lembree not to be “that guy” but the plural of aircraft is still aircraft. Not aircrafts.
As a regular customer of Alaska Airlines, I have seen numerous captains address the passengers at the start of each flight, standing in front of First Class and speaking to both cabins, offering thanks for their business and speaking without a script. It's a heart-warming and unusual start to a flight to see the human beings who are entrusted with our lives and who represent the company, giving their thanks for our patronage. The flight attendants are similarly gracious on Alaska too. I never worry about flying in or out of weather since the state of Alaska has some very intense weather systems that the Alaska Airlines pilots navigate routinely.
I was looking for adventure as a young man, and Alaska provided that in spades. Alaska Airlines was mostly flying inside Alaska in the 1970s, and of course Seattle. I remember vividly my first landing in Juneau. I already knew they averaged 200 inches of rain a year. At the time they only had 1 runway, that was carved in the side of the hill. It was the first time I was really scared for my life. But Alaska Airlines pilot put our Boeing 727 right down, thru that rain. It was the largest aircraft that was allowed to land there at the time, and we used almost the whole runway. I lived in Anchorage for the best 12 years of my life. I love Alaska and Alaska Airlines. I also love the Marine Highway. If you want to see Alaska, the marine highway is a good choice. When you get to your destination, your car will be with you.
The best preflight announcement ever...
hye es?
Autistic pilot?
I’ve flown Alaskan Airlines coach on my trip to Anchorage. The food was really good, considering it was coach, and the crew were kind and welcoming. Alaskan Airlines is one of those Airlines I would love to fly with again
Same except to Seattle!
I always fly Alaska and I love them so much
Feel the same! I’ve flown them 3 times to Hawaii and it was great!
Captain Sinclair I used to be indifferent about Alaska air, because they had good entertainment and time efficiency, but I didn’t like the food selection that much compared to other airlines. But my last experience has burned bridges with them, they changed my return tickets from my honeymoon without contacting me, and left my wife and I high and dry in Atlanta without any accommodations. Took 45 minutes to get a new flight out the next morning.
I am from Alaska and I can speak towards the amazing flights that Alaska provides love to see videos like this.
I was in that A350 inaugural flight to narita!!!
joey bock bock kewl
I think Dennis, Paul, Paul and Jeb should go on the Q Suite together. Accents can be left at the gate though. Happy Flightings.
What about sam
Chui's ego means he needs a suite of his own to fit it in...
Great idea, let's make that one happen.
That needs to happen
How about dan
AND ON BEHALF OF ALL OF US HERE AT ALASKA WE LOVE YOU!! ❤️❤️
I flew Alaska Airlines from San Francisco to Seattle on the 737-900 (non ER variant), and I loved the amount of legroom I had in economy class. The flight attendants were friendly...an overall great experience.
Am I the only one that loves the sound those CFM56 engine noises on takeoff. Just great.
Jeb you are clearly such a positive person - watching your videos is a JOY
I enjoy traveling on Alaska, especially First Class. The food has improved dramatically in the last year or so. The lounges don't have the same food selection as some others, but you can get a decent seat and a snack, if nothing else. And the frequent flier program is better than anyone else's and has worked very well for us over the years.
Everything about Alaska is good except the lounge (LAX) it’s awful
Alaska is my favorite airline
Alaska truly is a special airline! Great welcoming, caring crews! Hard to beat the genuine experience that Alaska provides. When flying, you know you won't expect the same amenities as on the other big 5 US carriers. Yet, it doesn't matter because of how individualized and special each experience with Alaska is. What helps is the taking of the best of two airlines following the acquisition of Virgin America and truly creating an airline with #MoretoLove! #iAmAlaska
P.S. Next time you fly, get the fruit and cheese platter. I promise, you won't be disappointed.
I’ve flown on Alaska Airlines a few times in coach. Each flight was simply awesome! I can’t say enough good things about them!
Great video man. Most of my family members work for Alaska and I’m so glad you liked it. It is an extraordinary experience in the first class cabin. I hope to see you on a flight some day man.👍👍👍✌️✌️
Fortunate enough to be the son of a well educated A319-20 Captain (Just got the go on his 777 captain upgrade bid), and he and his friend (ironically another Captain but for Alaska), make announcements like this Captain all of the time and it's absolute gold Haha.
Holy Moly Jeb your account is blowing up and rightfully so! I remember the first video I watched of yours was DL A350 inaugural flight and I’ve been subbed ever since. Keep up the great content! But don’t rush it, the quality of your videos is what makes them great
Another high quality informative video. I love your work!
Nice video Jeb - great air views pal! Thanks for sharing.
Great video! Two of my favorite youtubers!
Best customer service airlines! I’ve been flying them since I moved to Portland.
Hey Jeb, Always enjoy your flights and information. Happy travels!
Really entertaining and educational. Hope to see more of this of the platform as a whole. Great vid, keep up the great work :)
great flight. Thanks for the review on Alaska Airlines. I always enjoy all your videos and look forward to more in the future.
Washington is such an amazing sight. I’m heading there November 4, on a school trip. Nicely done Jeb👍🏻
How awesome is to see Mr. Stewart....
Thank you
Wow. Love that captain’s technical takeoff announcement! 👌☺️
I’ve been flying Alaska Airlines for a long time, and so far, they are great!
I flew economy Seattle to Los Angeles on Alaska and I agree it is a great airline!
Sorry about that I was trying to say Jeb you have this best travel channel it's awesome
Love your videos watch them all the time
Great Flight Jeb! Keep up the good work! From the UK 🇬🇧
That captain is awesome! Great vid Jeb, I’m flying Alaska to California this summer! Now I know what to expect, thanks!
That was amazing seeing Paul with you on the same screen. Two aviation mavens together. What a bonus! 👍🏻👍🏻
Wow. From Sam, Paul L., Dennis to Paul S. All my favorite plane reviewers. And also you Jeb. Great review. 2 👍👍
Great commentary and fabulous video...Nice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Loved the friendliness, humor and the math lesson. Crew was exceptional...
That was really cool all the info the captain gave on the announcement
Great trip report! The captain's announcement was amazing
thanks Jeb for getting rid of my fear of flying and great video as always!!!
So nice Jeb.I have never heard so many details about the flight from the pilots.
My hometown!!! I love flying Alaska!
Love your videos Jeb! Keep the effort up!
I appreciate you mentioning all the people involved in working the flight outside. I work for a regional carrier and do ATW and BTW. Thank you!
Great video as always my friend
Thanks for appreciation of the caterers, I too work for LSG and it’s nice to see we get noticed.
Alaska is truly awesome. Ihave flown first class at least 8 times and everytime it was great!
Excellent upload!
Love your videos!
Awesome video👍Great job by the Captain
Thanks for sharing, Jeb. What a spectacular view flying out of Seattle and across Chicago at night.
We flew Alaska from ANC-SEA-LAX before our flight to SYD. They were awesome. We've flown domestically in the US on American, United and Alaska as well as internationally on United and American. My view is that Alaska won by far on the domestic market. No comment on international. My friend who works for United may be disappointed to hear that, but that was our experience.
As an aviation enthusiast and somebody who has piloted an airplane (Cessna 172) I found that captain's announcement to be substantially more interesting and fun than just "we're glad to have you aboard, etc." Also Jeb - just wanted to say I love your videos!
Great video, Jeb!
I fly Alaska all the time and I love it
I flew Alaska from SeaTac to DFW, it was the first plane I had been on since 1965. I really enjoyed the crew’s attitude (great) too.
I flew with Horizon for 15 years and would have given my left testicle to get on with our big brother Alaska but like almost everything else in the world you had to know someone. Alaska is a class act!
I flew almost 80,000 miles on Alaska last year, never heard an announcement that informative. Try flying Alaska from Anchorage to Kotzebue, Alaska. You will truly have a great appreciation of the ground crew and the short runway there in Kotzebue. You should do a series on flying around Alaska on the commercial aircraft big and small. Love the videos as always, keep them coming.
So nostalgic. On March 18th, 2015 I flew on AS #2 from SEA-DCA, and it was for a school trip. Alaska Airlines is amazing, and that flight was my first time east of the Mississippi River. FYI, I was on the "Spirit of the Islands" livery. :)
Great Video. Alaska Airlines is one of my personal favorites :)
Gotta say that was a cool shot of the other plane landing while you took off
I live in Seattle and took that exact same flight! Glad you enjoyed your flight
Thumbs up Sir, always enjoy your videos. BTW it was awesome seeing you catching a glimpse of that new A350 bound to Narita, I took that flight on the 6th
Love Alaska Airlines! Flew with them to San Diego few days before.
Thats an awesome captin announcement!
I live in anchorage and ive flown alaska my whole life and i love every flight
I went from Houston Texas to Seattle and Houston’s intl airport was super big! I flew Alaska and they have the best service and leg room ever! Alaskan airlines is the BEST airline
Alaska is my go to for domestic flights. The last time I flew with them, I flew on a rebranded Virgin America plane and it was interesting to see a mix of both airlines in flight experience.
Awesome videos!
Love your channel
We are really lucky out here to have a bunch of Alaska and Delta service. I've spent quite a bit of time in those 1st class 737 seats. One of my most memorable flights ever was on an Alaska 737 out of Seatac where the pilot gave us the very best view of Mt. Rainier I will ever get. Thanks for the vid sir.
Ok I really want to fly with them on my next trip thanks Jeb and good vid
Great video and YES I LOVE Alaska they are alwsys awesome,I especially liked that Captains informative information kind of cool. The meal looked wonderful and a nice comfy cabin.I really enjoyed this one a lot keep up the great work and yes there is more to love with the Virgin merger!
6:33 LOL priceless!
Nice video content today Jeb brooks and great work on your work on youtube and great editing and great instagram pictures 👍👋👌😊😀🙏🍂............
I’ve flown Alaska several times because my wife is from Alaska. They are phenomenal.
I love hearing the stats from the flight deck!
Hi Jeb, Thank you for affirming my decision to fly Alaska Airlines First Class when I travel from Orlando to Seattle in August to catch my cruise. I am wanting to make this a memorable trip and with Alaska Airlines it looks like it will be!
#farewellbrothers is definitely going to takeoff! And it's what happens when I don't plan my lines... :-D Nice catching up again Jeb!
Love the captains announcement!
I've had good experiences with Alaska Airlines in the past. Can definitely recommend them, myself.
Jeb, great video as always - the views out of SeaTac are amazing. The background music and your voice delivery at 5:28 sounds like that Baz Lurhman song ‘Wear Sunscreen’!!
Quindon Tarver and Lee Perry. That was a great song.
I love Alaska--I fly them first class to Hawaii a couple times a year. THey are the best value for the money ever!!!!
A big thumbs up for that Iceland Air 757 in Seattle... certainly one of the finest airlines in the industry.
Alaska Airlines is my go-to airline and the merge of virgin made it even better.
That 737 thrust increase sound is always music to my ears.
Thank you for pointing out Chicago. Awesome night view .
Absolutely nailed that accent jeb!
Jeb, great video. Have flown them and really like their 20 minute bag claim.
Ive flown this exact flight, this will be interesting to see.
Best pre flight announcement ever
At best Business Class here in Australia! How good is the Captain...you are in very safe hands there Jeb! Having a Gin and Tonic as I view your review!! Some great views during the flight and the food looked pretty tasty!Paul and you should get your own TV show! Laurel and Hardy ? Well done Jeb as always!
The alaska flight you took looks like an awesome experence i need to try it out now!
Can’t agree with you more. I flew them over Christmas from LA to ORD and the flight was wonderful. The meal was great, and the crew were fantastic! The only downside was that we got a pre packaged brownie instead of ice cream. 🤗
nai727, I would prefer brownie over ice cream...no offense.
Great trip report!
Alaska First Class is what I normally fly when traveling in the US. Always been a nice trip for me.
Looks like you got the new paint job but the old interior. I actually love the old seats...more cushion! Nice review as usual. Thanks! 👍
Yes, loved LAX-YVR..very professional crew...though for me ,was stuck to the window with the stunning views!
Great vid
Love the Aussie ascent at the end
