The Shuriman form makes a lot of sense: -The beartrap shaped mouth that "latches" on your Camel, disabling your only way out of the unforgiving Shuriman desert would be one of the worst fears of a Shuriman traveler. -the chains that block and drag you under the sand(you know,like quicksands which would be another big fear of your average Shuriman) -Most importantly, it's aspect looks a little bit like a bandit, with the sparse armor and it's good shoulderpiece (probably the biggest fear of any lone traveler)
I imagine quite a lot of the regular, non-treasure hunting inhabitants of Shurima would have quite a lot of myths and stories about curses and creatures found in tombs. Fiddlesticks definitely would have drawn on that.
Also one thing I found interesting about the forgotten terror is the fact the bear trap has multilayered teeth, it's small but a neat detail to connect it more with Fiddlesticks who also has layered metal teeth
And it would be just his seeming part on surface. Just imagine a giant tree or mushroom rootlike monster beneath and have so many traplike parts above surface all belongs to one big root Edit: oh i didn't watch the whole video before that comment. Still I hope it would be like that

I'm not convinced these primordial demons exist because people believe in them. I think they exist because of emotions exist instead. Remember, Fiddlesticks was thought to not exist, had it been that way when they encounter Fiddlesticks no one believed that guy, it would be extremelky weak, but lore states Fiddlesticks is extremely powerful. I feel demons draw their power from the emotions, as Ashlesh does, they draw their power from Joy. So instead of believing directly into them, they just feed on these emotions and is what grants them their strength.
I dont think Lilia will be a GRAND enemy to Fiddlesticks, feels more like she's trying to treat the byproduct of him (Nightmares) than actually being able to "fight" him

I'm speculating here; but I think what Virgil Castt means by "speaking of it or simply thinking of it is enough to draw it near" is not that demons are powered be belief like gods are; but rather, Fiddle is drawn near because Virgil is afraid of it; and by speaking it's name of thinking of it; he feels fear and therefore draws close the demon of fear.
yup. Plus, if anything, as the embodiment of Fear itself, the Lord of Fear likely gets power from all fears, not just fear directed at it. It's possible that the puppet forms only have power based on the fear directed at those forms, but for the Lord of Fear's true self? I the real self is much more powerful and that the parts of it that are puppeteering the puppet forms are just that, small parts controlled remotely.
11:24 Fun fact about that card and the associated previous version of it (Grotesque Gift), there's a node in Fiddlesticks' world adventure for it called "Vicious Mockery" with a description of: "A monster looms over you, exaggerating its movements in an eerie, insulting pantomime. Can it be? Is this how others see you?" And at the beginning of it it has a 'line' for the player where it says "You are broken! Unlovable!" Not sure if its meant to be related to Vex specifically or just playing on the fact all the nodes for this adventure are fears in general, but something to consider at least

I mean, fiddle has ALWAYS been fear full stop. Nocturne is just nightmares. The original lore had Nocturne sealed by the summoners as a by product of shit summoning, and fiddlesticks was a roaming demon. Then summoners were removed from the lore. Nocturne was then sealed by demacians, and Fiddle remained....roaming. New lore happened where there became a hierarchy to demons. This fully established that Fiddlesticks, the demon lord (king or whatever title) of fear stood above all that would fall into fear. Nightmares fall under the fear and thus Noct is below Fiddlesticks. We have many demon lords but only two are known by name right now Fiddlesticks primordial demon of fear and Ashlesh the Primordial demon lord of Joy. Nilah, due to the binding, would be immune to the effects of Fiddlesticks (in theory) due to both being primordial and she feel endless joy. 8 more primordial demons are yet to be know (found nothing anywhere on those 8). Gonna be cool when they are all released in lore (even if not in game).

They are powerful demons, but primordial demons focus of a core emotion such as fear and joy in the cases above. Since Fiddlestick rework it is the one price of lore I really focused on because of my fascination of the dark, horror, and creepy stuff. I did watch his video and there was SPECULATION of Eve and Tahm. However, it was confirmed by Riot back then ONLY Fiddle (at the time) was the Primordial (and said to be the strongest of primordials but that could change) since he is fear. Evelyn is about pain, Tahm is about greed, Raum is secrets, Nocturne is Nightmares. There are other demons in lore, but not in game at all. There is fandom wiki SAYING Evelyn was primordial shape and all, but she is NOT confirmed to be a primordial demon lord. Until Riot confirms she is one, which could since there is a mention of a Demon Lord of pain, but you can be a Lord without being a primordial after all, she is just a VERY strong Demon (like Kench). We have 8 more Primordial demons to go. To be officially canonized. I expect to see mention of one in Arcane at some point, if not overtly shown. Edit: Technically Shaco is supposed to be a demon, however his lore is lacking to say the least. We might see him get lore soon as to what he truly is. He was a demon before they came up with all the reworked lore way, way back when.

When an enemy draws a card with a nightmare on it, the nightmare is summoned as one of an ally units, but unlike portals, which summon a random follower, the nightmares summon a specific unit
On the LoR subreddit we got a confirmation from Fiddle's VA that he had recorded new voicelines, but they didn't end up in the game. Not sure why or how. I'm hoping it's just a temporary problem and one day they'll be added
The demon doesn't mimic its surroundings, it takes the form of whatever the target's biggest fear is. Demacian farmers gave it the scarecrow, sawblade etc form. Lux is terrified by mageseekers cause of her childhood. Bilgewater people are scared of sea monsters. And the noxian form is a vulture, noxians have all the reasons in the world to be afraid of vultures as they are mostly soldiers and they know that they will probably eventually end up in the belly of a scavenger bird. The shuriman one I don't really get.
Someone said before in the comments,but the shuriman could be the fear the lone travlers have for losing their camels or beinv ambushed by bandits (there the two forms, ambush and bandits). Like loosing their only way out (ghe camel) seens terrifying to me. ANyway, imjust repssaing an interpretation the comments had.
Nocturne would probably either be a lesser demon of sorts, or the sentient manifestation of a concept rather than an actual "living" being. Fiddlesticks *can* be everywhere, but I'd assume Nocturne's presence in dreams is both more subtle and more prevalent.
Nocturne was established to be an offspring of Fiddlesticks' lineage back when Fiddle was reworked. Nightmares are just one aspect of fear, after all. Fiddle can step into the domains of any of his children.

At most probably just steering them to bad dreams instead of normal ones. He's only a 1000 years old a literal baby when it comes to demons, who terrorised a small town and then was sealed away with ease. The Fiddlesticks puppet is ancient and therefore infinitely more powerful. It literally takes over someone's brain, controls the entire dream and is probably able to kill the person in their own head.
11:00 this was implied loong time ago, Vex has a voice line saying "I'm... scared" when unliving her. so yhea, Vex has a limit, the neat part of it its that Shadow seems not scared at all and it even looks "anoyed" by the presence of Fiddle. pretty good detail.
The light's are on, but no body is home. kind of situation. She sucked whatever was inhabiting the body out, leaving the body of the yordle "a husk" of its former self.
According to Amumu's new backstory they can apparently die of a broken heart on some Amidala-type beat and that's SUPPOSED to keep them down, but Amumu is either a special one-off case, his curse had something to do with his undeath or he doesn't even exist.
Riot has some potential for a sick Shaco lore rework here, just make Shaco another puppet of the Fiddlesticks demon, maybe based in Camavor/ Isolde's home region. Simply make that part somewhat famous for their dolls and a murdering jester doll would fit perfectly. This would turn Fiddle/Shaco to a unique combo where they are the same creature at the end but a different husk. Then give Shaco an ASU and slap some more eyes on him.
Actually a demonologist in Runeterra should be really strong, like a kinda Constantine, being demacian means that he can have alot anti-magic/anti-possession amulets.
I just don't understand why they would go for dream demons if they are not going to bring Nocturne in at all. He is the Nightmare Demon. Why release Fiddle and Evelynn instead of Fiddle and Nocturne?

For Nocturne's VGU they should merge him with Rayn, the nightmare mage from The Mageseeker. Just as Hesbeth experimented on Wisteria to give her Kayle' powers, it would make sense if he experimented on Rayn to give her Fiddlesticks' powers, and Nocturne is the result.
I'd imagine Swain benefits from Fiddlesticks. He rules the empire through fear, and since he's contracted with the Demon of Secrets (the unknown being the oldest source of fear), he's likely immune or resistant to the Demon of Fear. After all, he knows the truth, that others are blind to.
I gotta disagree with you on this one, Necrit. Fiddlesticks doesn't require or gain strength from belief. That's not how he exists in the universe. After all, he existed in the first 'terrible scream of creation' before things were sapient. So what happens when people think of, dream of, or say his name? It's the equivalent of throwing up a big red sign saying "ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET!" You're not making him stronger, you're just making it easier for the apex predator to find his prey.
13:05 I feel like the reason why it’s a bird is because it kind of looks like a vulture and perhaps since the Noxians are afraid of losing the war, the symbol of the vulture could give them a vision of what it would look like to lose the war. A large blood soaked battle field with vultures preying on their fallen bodies.
I believe follower featuring vex is supposed to be a reflection of vex's fear of deceit and betrayal moreso than death itself. The creepy cat toy thing is presented as an ally in the last set, and vex famously doesnt find allyship often. The bilgewater follower from this set also plays with this theme of deceit as a fear, though under different circumstances.
i think fiddle might be using the fear people have of Volibear in the freljord which is why its not beeing active over there. As far as i understood it gets stronger with fear in generall, doesent madder what is feared
I think its not about people believe in Fiddlestick exist its more about spreading fear. Fiddle is the embodiment of fear itself so as long as there are fear across Runterra, Fiddle will always be there, continue to grow stronger and devouring more preys. And what better way to spread fear than to have a bunch of scary monster roaming around.
Biggest whiplash of my life to see Fiddlesticks get added to to Runeterra and the excitement i got for that, just to have it all crash and burn when i found out it was only PvE
Styraatu and Baalkux both are also covered in eyes, yet they are darkins. Styraatu's form also reminds of Fiddle's demon. I wonder if there are any ties between the darkins and the demons
My theory on why vex is afraid of fiddle is the same reason that Nilah is always happy, as in fiddle just causes everything not of equal or greater power to feel fear. (This doesn't apply to beings that have made contracts with other greater demons or gained similar level's of power from other sources.)
I think whatever Fiddlesticks could do to Vex has got to be more than just killing her, otherwise I don't think she'd be afraid of it. They're both kinds of spirits, so it may be more like corrupting her essence? she would reform in Bandle City wrong somehow?
How about a plate of fresh grilled Poro meat with a missing bite? They'll be panicking about the poor soul that tried the dish and praying it wasn't someone close to them.

Just something I'm noticing: Crows for Fiddle and Swain both? One a demon the other outsmarted one? What if the reason Fiddle is a shred of his old insanely powerful demon king figure is because Swain managed to fool him somehow and split the body of the demon and spreading them out to keep the demon from taking revenge while keeping the arm for himself. That would explain why it seems like fiddle lacks a body while all other demons has one. Also the eyes is perfect in this setting as he's searching through all dreams he can to see if anyone have seen his parts as well as finding and torturing Swain in the dream realm. The crow killing Noxians would be Fiddle showing Swain what he will do to his country. A demon standing on top of piles of bodies, taking everything from Swain that he sought to gain and build. He's literally lurking around the continent looking for his body and growing in power and in his shattered state the first thing he encountered was a puppet he could use to scare and kill people, staying strong enough to be able to continue his quest to torture Swains soul. I personally like this because this would mean that you have a crazy, shattered, desperate, raging demon growing in power in search for vengance. It's lurking in the dark where you can't see it but you're not able to hide either as it can find you inside your own head when you're completely defenceless. No where is safe and danger is always there.

Fiddle is not whole cause ancient gods managed to trap fiddle and other nine. Stripping its power and turning the power to ten keys, he is roaming to find the keys, further gaining its powers back, while also releasing other of the ten. Swain (raum) is quite lesser demon compared to fiddlesticks, whose realname is stll unknown.. sort of.. Nilah knows the name. If FS gets all the keys... it will be quite likely.. rule whole runeterra, and as long asol "fears" the watchers, FS remains.

That means instead of a baby crying because it’s a biological need for survival and air to breathe, the child is crying because it’s born with fear in its heart, and fiddlestick, or the demon itself is there to make it cry. It’s a primordial embedding concept in life itself, that alone should tell you how powerful fiddlestick is let alone the puppeteer behind that scarecrow. And that’s probably why creatures or lesser demons like nocturne cant fear higher beings like asol, cause even the celestial gods know it is just a cheap trick, cause the real deal is much, much worse. Hey i wont bash LOR for trying with something new given their lesser budget, but this isnt anything ground breaking, just the usual, if not like the beginning of when LOR was released, just small things that would interest lore lovers like necrit and us.

If I’m not mistaken, there should be more lore in-game. Apparently they’ve added fiddlesticks as a big boss as well, and every character has unique dialogue when fighting it.

It's possible that the puppet forms only have power based on the fear directed at those forms, but for the Lord of Fear's true self? I the real self is much more powerful and that the parts of it that are puppeteering the puppet forms are just that, small parts controlled remotely.

I mean, fiddle has ALWAYS been fear full stop. Nocturne is just nightmares. The original lore had Nocturne sealed by the summoners as a by product of shit summoning, and fiddlesticks was a roaming demon. Then summoners were removed from the lore. Nocturne was then sealed by demacians, and Fiddle remained....roaming. New lore happened where there became a hierarchy to demons. This fully established that Fiddlesticks, the demon lord (king or whatever title) of fear stood above all that would fall into fear. Nightmares fall under the fear and thus Noct is below Fiddlesticks. We have many demon lords but only two are known by name right now Fiddlesticks primordial demon of fear and Ashlesh the Primordial demon lord of Joy. Nilah, due to the binding, would be immune to the effects of Fiddlesticks (in theory) due to both being primordial and she feel endless joy.
8 more primordial demons are yet to be know (found nothing anywhere on those 8). Gonna be cool when they are all released in lore (even if not in game).
Nocturne is one of Fiddlestick's spawns. Nightmares generate fear which feeds Fiddle.

They are powerful demons, but primordial demons focus of a core emotion such as fear and joy in the cases above. Since Fiddlestick rework it is the one price of lore I really focused on because of my fascination of the dark, horror, and creepy stuff.
I did watch his video and there was SPECULATION of Eve and Tahm. However, it was confirmed by Riot back then ONLY Fiddle (at the time) was the Primordial (and said to be the strongest of primordials but that could change) since he is fear.
Evelyn is about pain, Tahm is about greed, Raum is secrets, Nocturne is Nightmares. There are other demons in lore, but not in game at all. There is fandom wiki SAYING Evelyn was primordial shape and all, but she is NOT confirmed to be a primordial demon lord.
Until Riot confirms she is one, which could since there is a mention of a Demon Lord of pain, but you can be a Lord without being a primordial after all, she is just a VERY strong Demon (like Kench).
We have 8 more Primordial demons to go. To be officially canonized. I expect to see mention of one in Arcane at some point, if not overtly shown.
Edit: Technically Shaco is supposed to be a demon, however his lore is lacking to say the least. We might see him get lore soon as to what he truly is. He was a demon before they came up with all the reworked lore way, way back when.

@@LG555nightmares are basically portals but instead of being planted in your deck, they’re planted in the enemy deck. When an enemy draws a card with a nightmare on it, the nightmare is summoned as one of an ally units, but unlike portals, which summon a random follower, the nightmares summon a specific unit
The aesthetics are a bit lacking but the mechanics are fun. Mill decks are my jam.
On the LoR subreddit we got a confirmation from Fiddle's VA that he had recorded new voicelines, but they didn't end up in the game. Not sure why or how. I'm hoping it's just a temporary problem and one day they'll be added

Diddlesticks
The demon doesn't mimic its surroundings, it takes the form of whatever the target's biggest fear is. Demacian farmers gave it the scarecrow, sawblade etc form. Lux is terrified by mageseekers cause of her childhood. Bilgewater people are scared of sea monsters. And the noxian form is a vulture, noxians have all the reasons in the world to be afraid of vultures as they are mostly soldiers and they know that they will probably eventually end up in the belly of a scavenger bird. The shuriman one I don't really get.
Someone said before in the comments,but the shuriman could be the fear the lone travlers have for losing their camels or beinv ambushed by bandits (there the two forms, ambush and bandits). Like loosing their only way out (ghe camel) seens terrifying to me. ANyway, imjust repssaing an interpretation the comments had.
Shuriman- a trap that cripples your only ride out of the desert/a monster erupting from beneath the sand, like those things in the Xer'Sai

Nocturne would probably either be a lesser demon of sorts, or the sentient manifestation of a concept rather than an actual "living" being. Fiddlesticks *can* be everywhere, but I'd assume Nocturne's presence in dreams is both more subtle and more prevalent.
Nocturne was established to be an offspring of Fiddlesticks' lineage back when Fiddle was reworked. Nightmares are just one aspect of fear, after all. Fiddle can step into the domains of any of his children.
I don't get how people don't understand Nocturne and Fiddlesticks are puppets of the same demon king. Nocturne and Fiddlesticks are the SAME being.

At most probably just steering them to bad dreams instead of normal ones. He's only a 1000 years old a literal baby when it comes to demons, who terrorised a small town and then was sealed away with ease. The Fiddlesticks puppet is ancient and therefore infinitely more powerful. It literally takes over someone's brain, controls the entire dream and is probably able to kill the person in their own head.
11:00 this was implied loong time ago, Vex has a voice line saying "I'm... scared" when unliving her. so yhea, Vex has a limit, the neat part of it its that Shadow seems not scared at all and it even looks "anoyed" by the presence of Fiddle. pretty good detail.
11:28 one of Evelyn's husks is a yordle so is basically canon that yes yordles can be killed by demons

According to Amumu's new backstory they can apparently die of a broken heart on some Amidala-type beat and that's SUPPOSED to keep them down, but Amumu is either a special one-off case, his curse had something to do with his undeath or he doesn't even exist.

Riot has some potential for a sick Shaco lore rework here, just make Shaco another puppet of the Fiddlesticks demon, maybe based in Camavor/ Isolde's home region. Simply make that part somewhat famous for their dolls and a murdering jester doll would fit perfectly. This would turn Fiddle/Shaco to a unique combo where they are the same creature at the end but a different husk. Then give Shaco an ASU and slap some more eyes on him.

Fiddlesticks being an info hazard is probably one of the scariest parts of his lore

I find it interesting that the Noxian looking form has the same materials as the Demacian form, like it repurposed that form since it's so close by.
Actually a demonologist in Runeterra should be really strong, like a kinda Constantine, being demacian means that he can have alot anti-magic/anti-possession amulets.

Fiddlesticks has gotten alot more scarier as time past just in time for Halloween season.
For Nocturne's VGU they should merge him with Rayn, the nightmare mage from The Mageseeker. Just as Hesbeth experimented on Wisteria to give her Kayle' powers, it would make sense if he experimented on Rayn to give her Fiddlesticks' powers, and Nocturne is the result.
I'd imagine Swain benefits from Fiddlesticks. He rules the empire through fear, and since he's contracted with the Demon of Secrets (the unknown being the oldest source of fear), he's likely immune or resistant to the Demon of Fear. After all, he knows the truth, that others are blind to.

Fiddlesticks doesn't require or gain strength from belief. That's not how he exists in the universe. After all, he existed in the first 'terrible scream of creation' before things were sapient.

13:05 I feel like the reason why it’s a bird is because it kind of looks like a vulture and perhaps since the Noxians are afraid of losing the war, the symbol of the vulture could give them a vision of what it would look like to lose the war. A large blood soaked battle field with vultures preying on their fallen bodies.
I believe follower featuring vex is supposed to be a reflection of vex's fear of deceit and betrayal moreso than death itself. The creepy cat toy thing is presented as an ally in the last set, and vex famously doesnt find allyship often. The bilgewater follower from this set also plays with this theme of deceit as a fear, though under different circumstances.
i think fiddle might be using the fear people have of Volibear in the freljord which is why its not beeing active over there. As far as i understood it gets stronger with fear in generall, doesent madder what is feared

I think its not about people believe in Fiddlestick exist its more about spreading fear. Fiddle is the embodiment of fear itself so as long as there are fear across Runterra, Fiddle will always be there, continue to grow stronger and devouring more preys. And what better way to spread fear than to have a bunch of scary monster roaming around.

My theory on why vex is afraid of fiddle is the same reason that Nilah is always happy, as in fiddle just causes everything not of equal or greater power to feel fear.
(This doesn't apply to beings that have made contracts with other greater demons or gained similar level's of power from other sources.)

Just something I'm noticing: Crows for Fiddle and Swain both? One a demon the other outsmarted one? What if the reason Fiddle is a shred of his old insanely powerful demon king figure is because Swain managed to fool him somehow and split the body of the demon and spreading them out to keep the demon from taking revenge while keeping the arm for himself. That would explain why it seems like fiddle lacks a body while all other demons has one. Also the eyes is perfect in this setting as he's searching through all dreams he can to see if anyone have seen his parts as well as finding and torturing Swain in the dream realm. The crow killing Noxians would be Fiddle showing Swain what he will do to his country. A demon standing on top of piles of bodies, taking everything from Swain that he sought to gain and build.
He's literally lurking around the continent looking for his body and growing in power and in his shattered state the first thing he encountered was a puppet he could use to scare and kill people, staying strong enough to be able to continue his quest to torture Swains soul.
I personally like this because this would mean that you have a crazy, shattered, desperate, raging demon growing in power in search for vengance. It's lurking in the dark where you can't see it but you're not able to hide either as it can find you inside your own head when you're completely defenceless. No where is safe and danger is always there.

Fiddle is not whole cause ancient gods managed to trap fiddle and other nine. Stripping its power and turning the power to ten keys, he is roaming to find the keys, further gaining its powers back, while also releasing other of the ten. Swain (raum) is quite lesser demon compared to fiddlesticks, whose realname is stll unknown.. sort of.. Nilah knows the name. If FS gets all the keys... it will be quite likely.. rule whole runeterra, and as long asol "fears" the watchers, FS remains.

Edited: i’ve watched the video in case i’ve missed something and yea, literally all known facts just being expanded upon, we already know the demon behind fiddlestick exists everywhere cause in his lore, it’s specifically mentioned how he created the first scream of creation, meaning fear is the default reaction of every existence and every being. That means instead of a baby crying because it’s a biological need for survival and air to breathe, the child is crying because it’s born with fear in its heart, and fiddlestick, or the demon itself is there to make it cry. It’s a primordial embedding concept in life itself, that alone should tell you how powerful fiddlestick is let alone the puppeteer behind that scarecrow. And that’s probably why creatures or lesser demons like nocturne cant fear higher beings like asol, cause even the celestial gods know it is just a cheap trick, cause the real deal is much, much worse. Hey i wont bash LOR for trying with something new given their lesser budget, but this isnt anything ground breaking, just the usual, if not like the beginning of when LOR was released, just small things that would interest lore lovers like necrit and us.
