THE BAIL AMENDMENT BILL PASSED

Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs Reginald Amour presented the Bail Amendment Bill, which was passed during yesterday’s session of the House of Representatives. This bill has been in the parliament for a while, rising out of the Akili Charles case, in which Charles was in remand for nine years before being freed from prison. AG Reginald Amour explained that the bill will allow those accused of murder to apply for bail.
