The Palestine part of East Palestine, Ohio is actually pronounced "palace-steen". East Palestine was platted in 1828 by Thomas McCalla and William Grate, initially known as Mechanicsburg. In 1833, it was renamed. The name was changed as part of a religious nomenclature in the area, including communities such as Enon Valley, Medina, New Galilee and Salem. However, Palestine, Ohio, was already an incorporated community in the western part of the state, so the town was incorporated as East Palestine in 1875.
Here are more non-controversial Israel and Palestine facts: The world's biggest strawberry (as of 2023) was grown in Kadima-Zoran, Israel in 2022. The strawberry is of the Ilan variety, which was originally bred by Nir Dai at Israel’s Agricultural Research Organization and is known for producing large berries. The strawberry developed slowly for more than 45 days from flowering, which caused its large size at full ripening stage, and weighs 289 grams! The Dead Sea's salinity is 34.2%! It is the fourth saltiest body of water in the world, ranking behind Antarctica's Don Juan Pond and Lake Vanda, and Djibouti's Lake Assal.

*Actual fun fact* : Palestine got banger olive oil. They dip bread in it and eat with nothing else, to enjoy full freshness of it (some controversial figure might say because they are not allowed to farm animals, so oil is all that they got)

6:36 no, the second from the east is the current de facto border, the small strip to the east of it which has in it a town called Quneitra was returned to Syria after the Yom Kippur war. The town was destroyed after the war, and instead of rebuilding it Syria kept it destroyed as a museum against Israel, and takes lots of the many countless tourists to Syria there.

Yes, Ein Uzi or Uzi spring is a real place! Uzi is a Jewish name, so it makes perfect sense. The Uzi family of weapons were created by Captain (later Major) Uziel "Uzi" Gal in the late 1940s following the Arab-Israeli War. The weapon was submitted to the IDF for evaluation and won out over more conventional designs due to its simplicity and economy of manufacture. Gal did not want the weapon to be named after him, however his request was ignored by the military. The Uzi was officially adopted in 1951. First introduced to IDF special forces in 1954, the weapon was placed into general issue two years later.
It was first used as a personal defense weapon by groups like officers, artillery troops and tankers, as well as a frontline weapon by elite light infantry assault forces. Its compact size and firepower proved instrumental in clearing Syrian bunkers and Jordanian defensive positions during the 1967 Six-Day War. Over its service lifetime, it has been manufactured by Israel Military Industries, FN Herstal, and other manufacturers.

Just to point out: "Palestine" is the name given to the LAND hundreds of years ago (older names were the Land of Canaan and The Land of Israel), and it does not necessarily refer to the Palestinian Authority, speaking about international towns and sites called by this name.
Fun fact: Palestine is a corruption of Phillistine, who were the people who lived in the Gaza Strip during the ancient Kingdom of Israel and Judah. Phillistines were a seafaring indo-european people from Crete and are possibly one of the infamous sea peoples (peleset) of the bronze age collapse.

I mean it's an administrative division which always has different names everytime you reorganize the provinces. The West Bank never its real name either; it's just a descriptive geographic term denoting the west bank of the Jordan river.
While these two kingdoms did exist there historically, there were also lots of other things here. It's not fair to call it West Moab, now, is it?

Since you say you’re testing a new editor I won’t hold you responsible, but this editor does not seem to be a fan of Israel. The sarcastic “we hate war and love Palestine” slide is absurd, Israel has been invaded five times in the last 75 years including just last month, and are sporadically targeted by indiscriminate rocket barrages. They have one of the longest mandatory conscription terms on earth. You think Israel likes war?
Also, this was while you were showing and discussing Israeli positions on the Golan Heights - a high ground used by Syria (a country still at war with Israel and has not recognized it as a state) to shell Israel in the past. So the basis for occupying this area is purely defensive, and Israel has never once used it to attack Syria.
Man I didn’t think I was going to write this much but I really think this matters, I guess the bottom line is that if you are go to use this editor again, please have a discussion about this.
Thanks as always for the video Toycat!
Couldnt you basically flip this
Refugees came to a land were people where living in decent peace together, sent in massive waves, then they lived together, but started a revoult and war having Britain give them the land even though people are still living there and were hunted out.
Then later they were multiple times attacked by the new state created Isreal taking more and more land.
Having innocent people die, that firstly accepted others into their Land, which now gets stolen by the very people they took in.
And are now trying to get their land back, fighting for it?
And are now being called the terrorist?
The evil?
Meanwhile the Isreali Regime posts that every palestinian is a animal?

Bro spent 7:44 minutes talking about Palestine
My bro is an antisemitic warmongering moron
Fun facts about Palestine:
- it's a country bordering Lebanon and Syria to the north, Jordan to the east, the Mediterranean to the west and Egypt to the south west
- it has the largest jewish population of the world by percentage, about 45% iirc
- it's socially acceptable in the anglosphere to be extremely racist against its people for some reason
@@pao5567 if this wasn’t a non controversial comment section, I would say that Palestine has never been an official country until very recently, it would have been a general region under the ottomans, a territory of the British, and then after a civil war of independence between the people that lived there, the winning side claimed a specific area as a country with a different name. Gaza and the West Bank were occupied by Egypt and Jordan. Palestine as an official country was only founded in 1988, and is officially only contained to the West Bank and Gaza. But this is a non controversial comment section soo I won’t say that.

For the rest of the world, a simple "No" would suffice to the question "Are you an Apartheid State?" Israel is the only country that has to explain why it isn't an Apartheid state.
Natives likes the Navajo in the USA are Americans. American Samoans and Puerto Ricans are US Nationals.
Palestinians aren't entitled to a Israeli passport much the same way Blacks in South Africa were back in the day. It seriously reeks of Apartheid.
Not anti-israel nor anti-palestine here, just stating out some deeply disturbing fact of this modern country in the 21st century.
