Welcome to the latest video for @KhonKaenDen. NOTE: This festival runs until 10.12.23 and NOT 03.12.23 as I stated. Many thanks to @hansreubens6117 for spotting my obvious error. I owe you a beer! In this video, Beau and I visit Khon Kaen's silk festival which is relatively unknown outside of the region... It's a Thai celebration,... proper Isan style!!! Old, wooden houses, mor lam, dancing, food, markets and, of course, lots of silk. Thanks for watching and don't forget to like, comment and subscribe! Happy birthday, Khon Kaen!!! Cheers, Den.
A great week of festivals and assault of sound colour and I’m sure on the ground smell. So much effort put into all the ones you have shown us this week Den. Really good 👍
Haha... seems that way. This is the last one for a while now (I think). There will be plenty more going on soon haha. As for my mojo, yep... well and truly back! Thanks so much, Den.
There is always a festival somewhere in the world.. You just don`t need to have them all in your city, guys. And all at once. Save some for us as well 😂 Yummy, yummy.. Food is what we are sent to this world to enjoy, right? I agree with Beau, she understands what life is about 😄 I also thought I saw some dancing moves there, Den? It`s never too late for a change of career. You can always invent a new dance, maybe the chicken dance? Oh, wait... That silk store/exhibition was amazing btw. I do have a few sets of silk myself, but rarely use them anymore. And that dessert is propably some special Khon Kaen style dessert? Never seen that. Ovaltine, yes, please, my favorite too 😄 Thanks guys, another amazing tour. Now you`ve got be running out of festivals? 😂😂
Haha... yeah! So many festivals this week! If anyone ever comes to Khon Kaen, it should be during the last week of November. There is so much going on. That said, I well and truly need to give my ears a rest haha. That was some noise! Yeah, Beau loves her food like you! That dessert, no idea really. The lady who makes it, is massively popular on TicTik apparently. I had no idea haha. To be honest, I am not really a silk fan. Prefer cotton (but I know I am in the minority here). As for my new dancing career.... hmmm. I might give that one a pass. I have two left feet for sure! And yeah, I think the festivals are done for a while. To the point, I drove out to the countryside this morning to give myself a little peace and quiet... and I came across another hidden gem. The vid will be out in. an hour or two. A million thanks for your kind and funny words. You still make my day when reading your comments! Take care and have a great weekend! Cheers, Den.
Thanks a lot, Nigel. Yeah, there are millions of videos on Pattaya and they all seem to revolve around girls. It's OK for some, but I prefer real Thailand. Many more videos out very soon! Thanks for your kind words, Den.
Small correction. It not finish on 3 December, but on 10 December. Important to know, because on the weekdays it is much more quiet. So you still have time to go, it is indeed a nice entertainment.
OMG. Hans!!!!! You Are SO correct. I was thinking of another thing (there are so many right now)... and it is a festival at my local pet shop hahah. I can only change written stuff, but will do so straight away and credit you. Thanks so much for your help!!! Den.
it occurs to me you might be able to make the mic more directional by wrapping a funnel of paper around it, or a cut in half water bottle? or for a real directional, a short bit of PVC as it's thick and dense. MIGHT cut out much of the ambient noise but you might have to get it "in your face :)
Hey, Stanley. That is exactly what I though at the time! You WILL get there if you want. It is tough but doable!! Maybe I can help you in some way! Cheers, Den.
@@KhonKaenDen thank you very much for your offer , I stayed at an apartment in Pathum Thani 3 weeks with a woman I have been corresponding with for some time , I prefer country life as to city
@@stanleymoore8084 Cool. Maybe even try Khon Kaen. It is of course a city, but it is right on the edge of rural Thailand and if you live a few kilometres out, you can have the best of both worlds like me. Cheers, Den.
