- In this video I show how to replace the tail light in the 2023 Tesla Model 3. The process is similar for the Model Y, but requires more work to get access to the area.

I just did it using this video as a guide. I didn't have to pull any of the trimming back tho. Literally took 5mins . Great video!!!!
It’s awesome to see the improvements in the assemblies since my 2018 Model 3! I like those conduits that contain the wires coming from the charge port. Mine does have a solid metal sub trunk while yours is some type of insert and I have the ventilation cutout in rear parcel shelf. I’m not saying that one is better or worse, but they save Tesla’s manufacturing costs and were suggested by Sandy Munro.
I wish the ventilation was still on the rear shelf, the bass sounded so much better in my friends 2018 Model 3 with that
@@TeslaFlex Tesla does what maximizes their profit margins, for good or bad. Like this vision only crap that they are finding out has problems. The secret memo to add a better radar back in the front, because people wouldn’t buy cars until there is radar. No sensors in the bumpers? There is no camera low in front. I want to trust Elon, but some of these choices for profit or because they are not needed, who knows??

I used this video to plug in my lights. They were not coming on. Did not need to remove the plastic at the top. I just opened the carpet behind the lights and plugged the lights in. Stupid mechanics left them unplugged.
Good to see amber turn signals making their way to north america, one less variation between NA and export models means one less part, simplified inventory.
It’s crazy that Tesla was even putting it on Model 3s considering the Y has been using amber taillights since 2020 😂
Personally I think red turn signal lights are ugly

Only thing I wish it were easier is replacing cabin filter compared to let’s say my Honda accord. Cabin filter is still doable but more time consuming..
