    I'm gonna sneak a couple pockets into a big black H&M sweater I wear all the time BECAUSE WHY NOT

    Gosh Stephen, that’s the scariest thing I’ve seen in a while. I almost feel like I could do it though. You’re a great teacher.

    I loved your "we're going to cut our knitting" giggle! I recently cut a crocheted sweater for an after-thought neck line and everyone was screaming - DONT DO THAT IT WILL BE A NIGHTMARE!!?!?! But it was fine, and I felt dangerous as I cut my project.

    This is really great for making a pocket. If you do afterthought heels, this will be a piece of cake for making afterthought pockets.❤️

      You could probably do similar to a forethought heel too, and plan ahead for where you put it.

    Stephen, you are absolutely the Bob Ross of knitting!!! 🎨🖌🖼🌲🧶 Do I have plans to make an afterthought pocket? Nope. But did I watch this video anyway to listen to your delightful mix of calmness and excitement? Yes! Every time you say 'it's just knitting' I hear 'happy little trees'. ❤

    This is easily the most nerve wrecking and at the same time the most satisfying video I’ve watched this week. I came here because I was looking for a totally different technique but now I want to knit a cardigan with afterthought pockets. 😜

    Thank you for mentioning that you can correct a stitch mount as you go. This lefty learned to crochet long before learning to knit. All my purls are mounted "backwards" for the next row, but I just knit them in the way that they "untwist"!

Because I love your voice - plain and simple but I did love this video as well after I started watching it😊 Thank you for sharing this technique…looking forward to watching more in the not too distant future…bye🙋🏻‍♀️

    I'm thinking the bind off as I make the sweater and cast on similar to (i think the turkish 2 needle cast on) one for toe up socks and leave one side with stitch saver for later. This was amazing!
    Thank you!
    I was just wondering if there was a way to do this!

    This is great. I wonder if there is a way to do an afterthought pocket that means you hands can enter from the side rather than the top of the pocket?

    Is this a horizontal version of steeking? But everything is better with pockets.

  • @seijaalava9042
    @seijaalava9042 9 месяцев назад

    could that help to knit at sametime the pocket edges to different yarn and later take the different yarn off carefully and pick the loups to needles

    • @ТатьянаШикуля-с3с
      @ТатьянаШикуля-с3с 8 месяцев назад

      Так и делают, если заранее планируют карман... Но иногда необходимость кармана появляется потом... Тогда и помогает этот урок

      Всё понятно без перевода. Просто заранее не запланировали карман, иначе сделал бы вспомогательной нитью вход в карман заранее, а тут пришлось резать и распускать нить
