Glad about the "freedom" aspect of open great league but I have to say...
Gastrodon and Kingdra have never been so fun and effective to me as they have (went from 1850s to a set win away from 2500s in 4 days).
I tried a bunch of off meta Pokémon since it started trying to find effective ways to use Pokémon that can't shine in an open meta in these types of cups (my rank 1 Ninjask and Meganium got to see some play).
With this I guess I finally understood the potential of these restricted cups.

I hope they don't nerf steelwing. they are at a point where the power level of gbl should be changing. they cant buff a bunch of stuff and then hard nerf them. they already screwed skarmory once. they are at a spot that if they start to balance to current power level, they wont just have to do the buff/nerf train that most other games rely on. there isnt really much going for steel moves, especially in great league.
I use shiny magcargo with two charged moves shiny flygon with 2 moves and shiny weeping bell i start with mag when they switch to a water type i farm them down with weepingbell and my magcaro deals with any fire types when they switch and the flygon can be helpful in many ways its not the best team in the world with that being said i do win most my battles with this team at 1500 them all being shiny is a big plus
I don't even care so much as a player as much as a viewer. Even if there's no gameplay, I'm glad to have Great League content rather than Master League content.
Do you have suggestions for teams where I can use Lokix?
For the summer cup i used vigoroth charjabug and lokix but idk if that would work in normal great league
I been using like swampert sable eye and skarmory, but idk how to use them so I loose😢
What movesets do you have?
@@GustoFormula I use the recommended ones, but I’m still tryna learn what types are good against what types. Also I’m not tryna spend all that star dust on 2 charges moves, so I only use one.
@@jeremylees9979 Well yeah there's your problem :) If you pop a star piece and fast catch for 30 minutes during Morelull spotlight hour tomorrow you will earn enough stardust to cover that cost. One good team and 8-12 battles every day will probably get you at least 800k stardust in one season. Doesn't matter that much if you win or lose, but if you keep a type matchup chart handy you will eventually learn it

I used shadow and it hit hard. I think non shadow will work better or worse in certain matchups.
Team 9 is absolutely awful. Double electric and fairy weakness. That's not all of it, a lot of Skeledirges are leads and you can do absolutely nothing. All of your team has a weakness either to the fire or the disarming voice. And that's not the first time Jonkus is showing useless teams.
I have been losing all day. Whenever I actually get close to a win, the game starts lagging

no one is saying empoleon needs a nerf. Steel Wing needs a nerf cause of skarmory, and that nerf would impact empoleon unfortunately.

@@isakbal6288 Yeah, I agree, nothing with steel wing is overbearing. Skarmory is strong, but not oppressive. Then again, it is only as strong as it is because Lanturn was nerfed, which was unnecessary. Every time something gets nerfed, something else gets stronger because it has less counters.

Oh steelix it broken with breaking swipe? Nerf it to 50% chance despite the fact every other mon that uses it is frail.
Niantic needs to find a better way to balance than nerfing an entire move just to balance one mon because other mons that depend on the move for viability should not suffer for it.
