I didn't mention this in the video, but the game does have practice mode. When in practice mode, you can press Z to place a checkpoint and X to delete them.

this is actually insane! I've always been disappointed with 3d games on youtube because the creators never seem to have much coding knowledge, but this guy actually made a functional, polished game with insane mechanics. This better go viral...

Omg this is by far the coolest GD "copy" game I've ever seen. The way you can move the player on the Z axis makes it so different from normal GD yet so much fun

you should make a VR version, having depth perception could open up a whole new range of cool gameplay
also, having some sort of line on the ground showing where the cube will go next would be nice to have for some parts where the "looping over" feels really unpredictable.

I wish the animations of the wave turning around and the ship hitting a block from above or below were smoothed out, but aside from that nitpick, this is amazing. I love the way you interpreted everything, it all looks extremely accurate to how it would look like and behave in 3D
Also the camera and rounded path stuff remind me of Kirby 64, and even THAT game didn't use the 3D features to their fullest extent like you did
As a Geometry Dash player, I have never in my life been so happy and excited about this.
I have seen a RUclipsr (Partition Zion) played this game and I was astonished by every aspect of this recreation. It is perfect and satisfying to watch.

Yoooooooooooooooooo. Okay, so I make stuff in gamemaker all the time. Seeing you use it as a map editor for unity was SO cool to me. I use GM as a stream overlay and to make games. GM is a visual extention to a lot of what I do. So cool to see it used like this.
I love the wrap around parts of levels. So cool!

GG SHADOW SIEGE FIRST VICTOR!!!!!!! (as far as I know). This is a really really cool way of translating Gd into a 3d platformer, I don't think anyone has ever thought to make the player's path curve like this. It results in some very unique and frankly fun gimmicks that I don't think we'll see even in 2.2

One of the coolest Geometry Dash projects I've ever seen! Amazing work and great video!

This game blew my mind. It is so well done. I've started learning unity recently and it took me more than one week to make a primitive game where you control a ball and try to avoid obstacles. How long did it take you you guys to make it?
This is probably one of the coolest inventions of all time
Suggestions for you to add:
1) 2.2 platformer mode (If you can!)
2) add gamemodes such as robot, spider and swing. (Make the swing by "when you are in the swing gamemode, make invisible green orbs to make the swing [ do not make it change gravity immediately, let it "swing" ] )
3) Add the option in playtesting or in practice mode to make the gameplay slower and easier to playtest or practice (Something like the timewarp trigger)
4) more orbs and pads. The game is missing the dash orb (The green orb with arrow), spider orb (You can add invisible spider orbs on surfaces for the spider gamemode in suggestion 2) and spider pads.
5) add more songs! If possible add a huge library of songs (including some existing songs in real geometry dash) to make some interesting remakes.
6) Add text in the 2D editor plz?
*If all these Suggestions takes a long time to make, you can ignore suggestions: 1, 3, 5

As a certified geometry dash player and developer, I can say this is cool :).
Editor: Add triggers, custom blocks and custom objects. Download: Make a download to phone or tablet. Game: Add a attempt count. Menu: Add a icon and color changer. Gamemodes: Fix the ball of game, Add a robot and spider.
