You're adorable. She's adorable. This whole video is adorable. First time I've ever commented on any of your videos and even though I've always loved your content, this is the kind of wholesome shit I live to see. Please keep it up with everything you do. Happy holidays to you and your family.
Id love to see a series where your wife (sorry i cant remember her name rn) makes beginner rings, just as a way to show people who want to start making rings things they can do
So awesome that you made your own wedding ring. I've been throwing this idea around with my wife for quite so time to no avail LOL, and to be able to include your wife is a bonus in my book. That rings looks amazing!
Also the way she looks at you she glows when she looks at you there's no other way to put it you can see literally the love in her eyes never forget it and always treasure it. You're young really young from what I can see of you and I'm very old and I used to be a metal Smith.
Beautiful stuff! My wife bought me a custom wedding ring for Christmas. I know about it but don’t get to see it until tomorrow. After seeing this video we wished see knew about you. I make custom knives... can I buy meteorite from your store? I would love to incorporate it into my knives.
Love the ring. It is up there in my top 5 that you have made so far. It was very nice and appropriate to see your wife get involved. You make a nice couple. Happy holidays to you both and all of your viewers.
That's such a beautiful ring the perfect amount of feminine and masculine. Love the material combo I'm sure this will be a popular ring in your shop ❤ you've got a new subscriber I've watched two videos of yours and love your style
So inspiring to me as a aspiring jeweler!! I use a ton of your supplies from the shop and they are GREAT. Thanks so much!! Also you and your wife are so cute!! You should bring her in on more videos. Merry Christmas and God bless!!!❤️🙏🏼
i can't believe I never saw this video (I've been watching your vids for a year now). You two are the cutest! I absolutely love how you worked together to create such a beautiful and meaningful ring.
This just reminds me of my mistake to copy what you did: Used HCl because you can see whats happening in the jar. Now my meteorite ring is rusty :p no accusation, I knew it could happen. P.S.: Your wife knows how to lathe? Thats kinda hot.
@@LaserGadgets So what you're saying is that meteorite can actually be practical if it's etched with ferric chloride? If so, my ideal wedding band just became a reality. It's really only the rusting that put me off.
@@HammyHavoc I used HCl for my video, because you cant see much in FeCl3. BUT the water combined with acid makes it rust. I coated mine with UV resin, even that did not stop the rust. Etching it in concentrated FeCl3 should do the trick.
Really happy for you Patrick. Congratulations and Here’s to you are you wife for any future endeavors. PS when ever Incan afford one of your rings I will definitely place an order.
I WILL MAKE OUR WEDDING RINGS FOR MY HUSBAND AND I. REALKY EASY TO MAKE.. HE WAS A SORT OF DESIGN THAT I WILL MAKE .. YOUR RINGS LOOKS VERY BEAUTIFUL 😍
Love the video. You're currently making my wedding band:) A Halo ring with black marble instead of bones. Can't wait to see it! Great Designs. Keep up the good work.
hope its a good video the ring'll probably look good edit:now that i've seen the finish i am happy i watched thank you for the journey that was this ring
I loved every bit of this video. Thanks for sharing. I do have a question though. When you fit the base rose gold layer to the meteorite layer with the laser, then you sand it down, then dip it nitric acid. Does this weaken the bond between the base rose gold layer and the meteorite layer? I know the outer rose gold layers will help keep that together but in the case of your obsidian cut meteorite with rose gold (the ring I bought which i fucking love by the way)…what keeps them together. Staring at my ring it almost looks like theres no connection at all? Thanks again. I cant wait to receive my second ring. OHHH i see now. Its press fit. As a surgeon i press fit a lot of my joint parts but theyre all tapered. I would imagine its possible they could separate but highly unlikely? And do they ever actually truly permanently mind together?
Would you provide links to where you buy your materials and even tools? I’d like to get a ring mandrel like that. And what kind of tape did you use on the outside while finishing the inside?
Enjoyed the video. I am thinking Opal, Turquoise or something instead of the gold, I am not a gold guy. Nice way to start my Christmas 2020, still trying to decide on what rings to buy so I can get my free Carbon Ring.
Heads up, a little chemist’s tip (not that I am one but I have studied some chemistry), add the nitric acid to the cup, then dilute with water, because diluting acids is a hyperthermic reaction which can produce a lot of heat, and if you add the water to the acid and it starts getting too hot you can stop adding more water, but if you do the reverse, you may end up with a reaction that gets out of control and bursts the cup getting nitric acid everywhere.
This is exactly the type of wholesome content I needed on Christmas eve!
Happy Christmas to you and your loved ones :)
Using a belt sander and lathe with those gorgeous nails? God bless your brave soul Carly.
Very brave indeed. Merry Christmas Brian!
Thanks! Green was just not my color 💁🏻♀️
Oh my god that nail polish color is epic! She has good taste!
It looks like OPI's Jade Is The New Black. My favorite OPI color!

I love this! So fascinating seeing the ring start to finish with each step shown. Very sweet and special your wife was so involved

It's always extra special when a loved one makes the effort to create something for you! That turned out very lovely, well done!
This is a beautiful sentiment❤❤❤ I would love to watch this in real life. I cannot fathom how technically artistic you are, Patrick!!

Lol I helped with a lot of the steps but she did a really great job!
@@PatrickAdairDesigns Youre a lucky guy ^^
@@PatrickAdairDesigns Did you use HNO3/water for the etching? FeCl3 should work better, it will never rust.

Merry Christmas, sure love that ring and like the workmanship you both have.
Congrats!!! Always making some of the best stuff on RUclips.
Very patient of you, but you both did a great job 👍
I, fairly recently, got a Durston ring stretcher/reducer. It works better than the one the local jeweler uses.😁
Your wife done all that work without chipping a nail 😆 beautiful ring and you're a lucky man you make a lovely couple.

Looks like your family is a ring maker
Because your wife is great at making ring
Can you supply to the UK? I love these designs
Great video love the channel. Actually about to order a whole setup from your store. One quick question tho where do you find your meteorite slabs?
Awe this is so cute I love this so much! 💗
Congrats!
I love this video
Im consider buying this ring from your store, my only question is would there be a clear coat to this ring to prevent the meteorite from rusting?
I have the same question. Did you end up getting it? If so, what are your overall thoughts and impressions?
Would you provide links to where you buy your materials and even tools? I’d like to get a ring mandrel like that. And what kind of tape did you use on the outside while finishing the inside?
Hope you don't mind me saying your wife is gorgeous! Great job on yet another great design!
