Hey I made this ring available on my site because everyone was asking about it: patrickadairdesigns.com/collections/the-signature-series?sl=meteoriterosegoldsigring
The contrast of the materials is just amazing, I love how the stacking really draws the eye to the crazy texture and patterns of the meteorite. Very cool ring!
Dude!!, the fact I e seen you make them on your RUclips means I’m buying one. Can never tell if these ring companies are mass produced rubbish using sub standard materials
I love to watch your videos from time to time! Great looking ring! I have had an idea for a ring for a very long time now and would love to see you make it. It's a magnetic spinner, where the spinning part has it's magnetic poles aligned with the base magnetic poles so that the spinning part of the ring floats around the base. This spinner would spin for a very long time since it would have almost no friction. Both parts could also be overlayed with blue gold (gold mixed with iron) to make it look really cool, since iron works well with magnesism. Other types of gold would block the magnetic spinning effect. Please let me know if you are interested in making such a ring!
I really like your work and attention to detail, I also like how open you are about the videos and everything, super awesome. I hope to get my own made soon :)
Hey Patrick. I've been a huge fan for a long time. You really put a lot into making your videos aside from your special skills. Thanks for continuing to upgrade the quality/look of your videos through the past couple years! Do you mind telling me what kind of camera, lense, and camera settings you use (any info helps me know what I need to buy to improve my videography business)?
Are you not able to impregnate the center of a finished ring with forged carbon weave, and just resin/pressure it? Almost the same idea as when you used the sand? That would maybe prevent the need to put carbon pucks in the lathe? 🤔
nice one! doesn't the meteorite rust? I was going to use some in a knife handle but a lot of people said it would be really hard to look after enev compared to the carbon steel blade.
man you work and talent is amazing, your website and ring collection is astonishing.... if I ever had the chance of luck I would love to work in your studio with you but I'm shocked that you don't have any spinner ring, I hope they're not outdated
Outstanding! Question: How did you stop the meteorite from rusting? I have heard it can be a problem with meteorite. Thanks for sharing this great project.
Natster Jam No incorrect, naphtha is made from distilling petroleum, it contains moderate levels of sodium palmate. When applied to a porous surface such a meteorite it works hard to penetrate the micro-regolith layer. Yes evaporation will occur after applied this is why multiple coats is very necessary!

Nice work. If you happen to read this, I’m curious to know if you are self taught or if you went to school to do what you do. Thanks for posting.

This is a really nice ring and I'm interested but wouldn't the meteorite rust?
Is there any risk of the acid melting the glue that's holding the ring together?

Get a can of naptha problem solved!
@@elnini415 That would clean it but once evaporated would offer no protection?!

@@elnini415 I looked it up after you suggested it! Evaporation would be an issue.
Thanks anyway but I think wax or lacquer would be more effective.
SICK
You are great man
i want one for myself, is it possible for an order? the meteorite is really majestic.
Have you made an angular cut meteorite ring?
I noticed watching you that you do it the right way you make molds and everything use wax the whole nine yards that's the way of ring should be made
I want to see the R32!
Hey Patrick, what do you use as cutting fluid?
DAMN IT’S PRETTY
Sean, you’re a lucky man.
Craftsman!!
Is it meteorite the stuff from space you are using if so how and where do you get them materials for jewellery making??
what was the acid you used to etch the meteorite?
Great video question i will be ordering a ceramic glowstone ring if i order it now how long will it take and usually when can i get tracking info.
Awesome
Was this actual gold rings? Where can you buy actual gold rings for jewelry making like this? Nice work!
This is a beautiful piece! Is glue safe though?
As a Meteorite ring maker, cutting the diameter of the Meteorite is sacreligious.

That's cool 😎
lets go!

When you cut the meteorite on the lathe, wouldn't it have easier and save more material if you used a band saw?
Do you ever get metal splinters making those rings
You should make gauges for earsv since they're so similar to rings
Dude, awesome.
where do you purchase your meteoric iron?
