Idk about you guys but I for one am glad car manufacturer opted to replace foglights with DRL because let be honest, 95% don't know the use of foglights. In that 95% I really hate those who drives at night using foglights ONLY. Also I wonder if new perodua models have adjusted healights from factory, I remember the viva/alza/myvi era, almost all new car have high low beams as if they don't adjust it. This was my only gripes with perodua other than personal brand preferance bias toward p1 because of family peer pressured lol

I honestly think this Myvi will kill the Ativa. Unless anyone really wants a SUV, it is difficult to see the point of the Ativa now that the new my Myvi is around.
For sure, the ativa's interior isn't even that big compared to myvi so there's really not much advantage in owning a more expensive SUV that's just as big as a normal hatchback

with the price tag of rm59k for the top of the range Myvi 1.5 AV… it simply unbeatable… no rivals that offers such an impressive spec sheet… even the Yaris 1.5G with over rm86k doesnt even have auto cruise control and basic AEB with Lane Departure Warning only… beside BSM… this Myvi AV even has RCTA - Rear Cross Traffic Alert… as Perodua stated, ‘ The Next Standard ‘ and ‘ Building Cars, People First ‘! gOod Job #Perodua
Agreed. I do tested driving on the new myvi, I selected Myvi instead of Yaris due to the price tag and the offers. It hard for the selection but I feel it is a right choice during this hard time for saving some money and get a better offer. Well done!
I think Perodua has done a great job with this iteration. Just booked one a couple of weeks ago. Will be great for town driving. Kinda tired of driving a bimmer. I always love Perodua cars.

I do think more further improvements they could have added in w/out very huge cost impact: 1. Armrest - I really don't need to explain this 2. A small ambient light (from the roof) - lights up the cabin slightly better 3. Ticket Windscreen Holder 4. Card Holder, for those parking tickets 5. Floor lighting, I am really sure people will appreciate this detail too.

3:27 ref to the speedometer, i would guess that the designers (or whoever doing it) design it on purpose so i gives the driver a feeling of "driving fast" where 0-110 goes up quick.... mentally safety feature from the driver to other road users kot... and also where the buyer feels like "ah, at least for the price i paid i used 2/3 of the speedo already"
They should just put max speed as 180kmh so that customers can fully utilise their meter easily😂 anyway this is the same meter used in new avanza launched in indonesia, the reason of putting this meter to myvi is just simply because they want to save cost of redesigning meter for myvi to support ADAS feature. If anything bro, if ur driving auto, watch out for the gear lever. Inside is connected by cabling to change between PRND. Around 120k km i highly suggest u replace that cable. Its ~rm100-rm150 so its only a minor hassle at worst. But what IS worst is if the cable snaps when ur in the middle of driving. Suddenly u cant switch between PRND. Masak bro… mmg sadai. Im talking from experience btw. My sister’s and my aunt’s myvi suffered the same problem, and both happened around the 140k km mark.

The 2 complaints i have for myvi g3 pre facelist are the driving position is not really comfortable especially when youre in the jam…the accelerators position are too short from the seat and make ur leg stiff.. the second one would be the roof when its raining…once raining you cant hear anything except for the clunking sound from the roof..so im not sure whether its the same with the new myvi
Really depends on what you're looking for. I would recommend Myvi for its Adaptive cruise control, Lane keep control, lane departure warning and prevention. Very useful for journey on highway. RM 3k difference between top spec of persona and myvi. Myvi more worth

If you really need bigger luggage size, maybe new Alza is for you because you can always fold the seat. But if you dun mind the luggage space, i think better myvi.
Both are for different end users. One MPV and the other a compact hatchback. With that said. Can’t really comment anything yet until the new Alza is launched early next year
The only letdown is the interior. Look dated, cheap and poor built quality and bad colour choice here. Red? Compared to proton they improve in interior department these days. Look at the Iriz Active so much neat looking inside. Other than that this myvi is awesome. CVT as usual feel smooth, efficient and feel lighter when drive only downside is the engine drone sound and CVT whining is loud compared to 4 speeder. And less reliable to normal auto especially if you drive harshly.
and it still doest stop people from buying it… those front and rear seats issue that ur mentioned actually all depends on individual… some even find those seats in Proton Iriz not that comfortable

They have always been that small, they are very uncomfortable but hardly anyone talks about it for some reason.

You know, if perodua can sell their MyVi lineup overseas they could drastically 'fatten' their wallets. Cars are getting more and more expensive in this highly inflationary times. A cheap affordable car with all the bells and whistles for daily commute is highly sought after and attractive. Just saying. Its something worth exploring.
