    At the end of 1989, DC, finish The year with more than 440, homicides,/Things only got worse from there the 90s, was the worst era in the history of Washington DC, Averaging almost 500 Homicides a year before starting to slow down a round 98 after that gentrification started to take place with the early 2000’s only averaging around 250 murders a year

      I remember vividly I grew up there back in the bad old days. You know these numbers woulda actually been higher had they counted bodies dumped in P.G. county? Remember when dude shot up Benning park swimming pool in 91'? We used to swim there That was the year we left.

      No,by 93 they had started to clean up.the 80's was far worse..I remember white people did not go anywhere outside the touristy area.the cops were ruthless drug dealers and killers.I bought weed from police and was threatened to be killed by DC police in late 80's.

      Back then the average murder rate was around 300 to 400 murders a year. There have only been 61 homicides so far in DC. The only difference is most crime was over drugs and drug turf wars. These days niggas just be killing each other over any stupid shit drug related or something simple as looking at someone the wrong way

      Only known goverment drug supplies happened LA and i have watched almost every doc about major drug dealers and no one ever told they got their drugs straight from goverment so i dont think that happened but allowin drugs to come thru borders is basically same as givin it out

    Are there any news reports about the early 90s? 1990, 1991, 1992. Those were the worst years for crime, for example in DC. But I only find 80s stuff

    AFTER the late night news was a show dedicated strictly to the crime called "City under seige." Those were some extremely violent times.

    The worst was yet to come in DC too. DC was wild and everyone around the nation knew it it 1991 and 1992. It was the murder cap until New Orleans bust the doors wide open in 1994.
