If you listen to the album ….”Another Day in Paradise” you can hear the unmistakable blues influence. It’s an album that isn’t mentioned much but it definitely one of my favourites of Motörhead. Lemmy did covers of many old blues songs and rock ‘n’ roll songs. He did a whole album of Buddy Holly cover. He was a remarkable man. Some constitution. An amazing lyricist and musician. There may be imitators but there will NEVER be another Lemmy.

This goes down well when me and my mates are having a wild weekend drinking Wild Turkey and enduring the pleasure of the whip (that’s a metaphor for speed, a jockey hits his horse with a whip to make it run faster, that’s why we call the stuff whip or whipper). People tell me I’m too old for this lifestyle I just tell them that Lemmy lived to be seventy and that’s about as far as I want to go, I don’t want to fall into decrepitude and waste away, pishing myself and intermittently shitting myself. That’s not how I want to go. I want to live fast and die old……seventy is plenty old enough for me.

@meztruo Man, this song is born FROM the blues! Lemmy sais, that he even can hear the blues in his songs and it's true... if you listen closely...

Isn't this on the "the wörld is yours" album? Spotify doesn't have it, but i remember Apple music had it it included before i switched. I need this one, it's chilling and simply amazing, i love acoustic covers, especially when there's harmonica included, or timbre echo of the guitar. Marc Bolan had a thing for it.
But man i can't get this one. Streaming makes it so easy, but issues like this makes me miss the physical copy era. You buy a copy, and you have the songs that are supposed to be there. No song missing missing cause of a disagreement between the record label and the band.

"... You know I'm born to lose and gamblin's for fools. But that's the way I like it baby, I don't wanna live forever. BUT APPARENTLY I AM. ..." Yes you are still alive! To me and so many others you're gonna live forever in your music. I'm confident they're still gonna play Motörhead in 500 years.
