If you listen to the album ….”Another Day in Paradise” you can hear the unmistakable blues influence. It’s an album that isn’t mentioned much but it definitely one of my favourites of Motörhead. Lemmy did covers of many old blues songs and rock ‘n’ roll songs. He did a whole album of Buddy Holly cover. He was a remarkable man. Some constitution. An amazing lyricist and musician. There may be imitators but there will NEVER be another Lemmy.
Like he's Mick Jagger or something. Poor man. Doctor said, "Well damn. Looks like you have everything. All the diseases," and he was dead like a week later.
When my wife and I were married three years ago we agreed that as she walked down the aisle the music would be Bach's Cello Suite No. 1 in G Major - Prelude and as we walked back together as man and wife, Lemmy's Ace of Spades (slow Acoustic) played, it seemed so fitting - best wedding ever ... it's a cruel world,

A huge loss of one of the great, last legends of heavy rock and so soon after Philthy. We're gonna miss you Lemmy. Raising a glass of the fiery liquor to you as i type this mate.

LEGEND. One of a very, very few bands that had the balls to play in Northern Ireland at the height of all the shit. Give this man and his band the respect that's due. In particular the BOMBER concert at Maysfield around 1980, particularly SMART :-)
Wish he could've done this unplugged version when he was younger. His voice on their first couple records, not to mention Silver Machine are great. Regardless, I really dig this, perfectly suited for the gravelly tones Lemmy produced.
"The pleasure is to play...." Pleasure to play rock 'n' roll! Motörhead for me, Motörhead for you, Motörhead for everyone who knows what is true music.

I really enjoyed the blues version of this classic head-banging heavy metal tune. Wonderfully wicked adaptation and (blues being a retro-like) evolution of a great song. I think both versions are killer.
Lemmy on vocals and harmonica, Phil on lead and Mikkey on rhythm guitar. Motörhead was a rock and roll band with attitude. As Lemmy said; "If Motörhead moved in next door, your lawn would die." True gentleman and gifted musician and lyricist who lived life to the full and held no regrets. He was truly a free spirit and will be forever remembered. Rock In Peace
you know, i never even realized that the song (best song of all time) is bluesy... it fuckin is! I mean I know the solo uses the blues scale and all but all i hear is adrenalin rushing aphetamine feuled badass speed thrash punk biker metal rock n' roll.... but listen to this stripped down take, apparently at its heart its also an evil robert johnson blues song too... never knew it!
Can we please have a moment of appreciation for the poster of this video who said "The song was re recorded for a Kronenbourg commercial. This goes down well when me and my mates are having a wild weekend drinking Wild Turkey and enduring the pleasure of the whip (that’s a metaphor for speed, a jockey hits his horse with a whip to make it run faster, that’s why we call the stuff whip or whipper). People tell me I’m too old for this lifestyle I just tell them that Lemmy lived to be seventy and that’s about as far as I want to go, I don’t want to fall into decrepitude and waste away, pishing myself and intermittently shitting myself. That’s not how I want to go. I want to live fast and die old……seventy is plenty old enough for me.

thats true .. many Motörhead Sonds have the Blues scheme, just faster
I'm not a Motorhead fan.But i really respect the talent and the intelligence of Lemmy. Great performer, musician and straight talking man. LEGEND!
