You know I have you covered. Two-part video series from last year. Part 1 (When to dig and what to do before you dig): HOW TO STORE DAHLIAS | Part 1 | The Impatient Gardener Part 2 ( storing): HOW TO STORE DAHLIAS | Part 2 | The Impatient Gardener
I own zero of the flowers- next year is a whole different story! You have inspired me with the amount of beauty that they bring. I fell into the " scared " category until today! THANK YOU FOR THIS! I'm in zone 5 into PNW, so I'm gonna be very dedicated from here out to make this work. 💜🌸🌺🌷😊
I watched your spring dahlia video and hoped for the best with tubers that I ordered last fall for a spring delivery. First time growing dahlias and they are doing fantastic, I pinched as you instructed and I have had nonstop blooms to bring inside. Thank you for the great videos!
Beautiful, love your your video on dalias. Yes, do keep instructing us all. I reside in the Mediterranean so I guess I can treat mine as annuals. It never gets too cold here. Thank you.
Thank you I put a Dahlia in my garden this year it was Lemon Sherbet it as bloomed all summer what a lovey plant, now I know how to dig it up and winter it and plant it in the spring.
I saw your video in the spring when you potted the dahlia bulbs. I followed your process and had great success with my dahlias. Your dahlias are beautiful. Thank you for sharing your joy.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion for gardening! I really enjoy your videos. I would appreciate a video outlining how you store the tubers for the winter.
Best dahlia tip from Erin...place your stakes when you plant your tubers and run your twine around your stakes before you see first sign of growth! She has great technique in a video....you’ll thank her when your dahlias are 4 feet tall!!😂👍
Thank you so much for sharing! I'm growing dahlias for the first time, in xlarge containers on my apartment patio! Your garden and your dogs are fantastic :D
Beautiful. I bought some dahlias last summer and left them in the ground here in zone 9b. Last week all were sending shoots and leaves from the ground.
On my, these are stunning. Will definitely be adding dahlias to the garden somewhere. Thank you for sharing and love your dogs (we have four ourselves)!
Great dhalias, great garden, great job! Congratulations! I am one of your subscribers of your blog and I am looking forward for all your new posts. I live in a similar zone as you, but at a very big distance , in Romania, therefore I consider your advices being very useful and inpiring for me..
Your dahlias are beautiful,as is your garden!!! I tried growing dahlias once before but it was a complete failure. It gets so hot here in Ga. (7) and my watering was not consistent. Perhaps I will try again next year with your inspiration! I would love to come to your garden and cut a bouquet! You are an amazing gardener. Best wishes!
@@TheImpatientGardener oh I thought at the end of your vlog you said you were in zone 7! I need my hearing checked I guess!! Those dahlias are STUNNING!! For soft bodies pests can't you spray the foliage with : 1 qt water 1/2 Tbsp olive oil 1/2 to 3/4 Tbsp Dawn dish soap 1/2 Tbsp baking soda Good Luck
Thanks for the beautiful dahlia tour, love the Labyrinth and Critchon honey. One of my old all time favorites is Kevin Floodlight, a light lemony yellow, so gorgeous in the sunlight.
I have absolutely fallen in love with Dahlias. Peonies and Hydrangeas are my top..but cannot wait to plant some dahlias next spring. Beautiful collection!
My dahlias have failed thus far this summer. Too much cool weather; too much rain; too much wind; too much hail. So thanks for the tour of your glorious blooms. I’m leaving what foliage I have left just so I can dig them up and store at the end of the season. And Olin’s bath was the BEST way to start the day. HIGH-larious! 😂
Enjoyed your tour and would like to see a video on storing . I’m in Australia so our season is the reverse to yours but just love all gardening thank 6th
Thanks for the update! Winter in NZ at the moment, so all my tubers are potted up in the unheated glasshouse. I grow alot of Penhill Watermelon, it looks completely different from yours, more peachy and raspberry tones. If you love the dark foliage ones i would thoroughly recommend 'Purple Flame'.. a stunner. :)
Yes, a video on storing Dahlias would be good! Loved your video! My mom grew Dahlias in the PNW when I was growing up. I like low maintenance flowers but since I lost my mom in 2013, I've been more and more strongly tempted to get a few Dahlias. This year, I succumbed to temptation and bought Otto's Thrill, Belle of Barmera, Potluck and Myrtle's Folly. They just started blooming here in my Colorado, Zone 5 garden. I got them in the ground later than I intended as my dad passed away at the end of April though, so maybe with earlier planting they'd bloom earlier. New subscriber. Zone 5b here.
Yes please a video on storing!!! I have cannas I want to store and all i have is a non heated garage, a crawl space and an attic. I do have a garage fridge but my fam would be unhappy for their drinks. I am not sure what to do. Thank you!
Really beautiful - Labyrinth is amazing. I had to screenshot it to put on my wish list for next year - I’ve scoured the internet (in England) and it’s sold out everywhere 🙁 Great video - thank you
