Warning : don't listen this song if your busy....because you will end up booking tickets for home ...which I did
that dude in shehnai is the rockstar in this song
Krishna Raj Rai That's Suona - Chinese instrument. But sounds pretty much like Shehnai
Honestly this is the song for which Rahman deserves Oscars. Unfortunately the world didn't understood the meaning of the lyrics till date, hence this song remains un recognized.
I believe this is the best one of them all. Regards from Russia.
Why am I getting all nostalgic about home when am at home already
My only question to the Indians who are signing this......how did you hold your tears?
Take a bow Berkeley.... Amazing
If there's an Indian in the group who left his home to study in that college.. I don't know how he/she composed him/herself.... I would burst out into tears on the stage itself
Goosebumps+ tears + Homesick feeling = This song. My reaction to the song was call parents and cry like a baby. Ye vo Bandhan hai jo kabhi toot nahi sakta.....\m/ You can take the Indian out of India, but can never take India out of the Indian!!!!
5:18 take a moment and appreciate this amazing Chinese guy with Suona.
I'm going to tell my grandchildren, that I saw this country developing #proud
Only a genius like Rahman would think of keeping a shehnai as the core of the song. GENIUS!
This is very addictive music. I just can't stop listening it over and over again.
Outstanding. What a beautiful sound. Music is a language of peace that transcends and borders and cultures and nationalities. I hope more people will listen to and appreciate music like this.
Hits harder when you are miles away from your homeland. Crying like a baby in Canada missing Pakistan. Lots of love to everyone listening. 🇮🇳 🇵🇰 🇨🇦
Hit like when remember that "Paani Lelo Paani Lelo " wala scene ||| #RahmanForeva
The shehnai guy is unbelievable. ARR deserves an Oscar for this composition. It’s nationalistic and universal at the same time
This song is the reason I will never be able to leave Bhaarat.
Air India - Play this song when flight leaves for India from any foreign land, right after leaving the gate and before hitting the runway. Then play one more time just before landing. There will be people canceling their return tickets and hugging the flight attendants.
Realised how much i regret being a banker instead of doing something like this! My only wish is to atleast see them performing live sometime in future
I am in my country but still feeling homesickness after listening to this song. ❤️
My life would have been worthwhile if I could be even a janitor or a watchman in this great college, let alone be a student or faculty. I would have never wanted to graduate from such a college. I would have happily failed each year so that I could stay there all my life
Something about this track...those high note clarinets in the back. They just pierce through your heart. Such a masterpiece.
when im disappointed with Indian crimes, it is the music, food, culture and home of legends like AR Rahman and Shreya Ghoshal which remind me to be proud of my nation
The smile at 5:24 .... When you know you did your job in best possible way.
Wondering when Hans Zimmer meets A.R.Rahman..🎼
Divine unity among varied diversity, only RAHMAN can create such a Magic
anirban dutta choudhury 110% agree with you..
That Chinese Suona (which people are calling shehnai) is absolute magic. The arrangement has been done by a maestro.
I would dedicate this song to my sister and her family, she is living in canada for past 3 years hasn't visited back to my/her home place :(
Mitti Ki Hai Jo Khushboo, Tu Kaise Bhulayega
Tu Chahe Kahin Jayeh, Tu Laut Ke Aayega
Song came from a fantastic Bollywood movie called, "Swades". It's a heartwarming movie about this guy from India who works as a space scientist for NASA. He longs to go back for a 2 week visit of his homeland in India. When there, he meets up with a lady he stayed in the same house with her when they were kids. When he comes back to the States, he realises how much he misses India. The lady he grew up with, finally marries him.
Shenai in this song just hits the heart... out of the world music . ARR is great..
takes me back to days i was abroad ...would have tears rolling down listening to this driving to work. happy to be home.
Javed Akhtar's words are pure gold. Made me cry
मिटी की है जो खुश्बू तू कैसे भुलाएगा😭💛

No matter which country you belong to, you really miss your Home , feeling this beautiful song--❤❤
The guy on Shehnai is the star of the song!
Well I was in London, England. When my aunt a Pakistani recommended swades. I am an Indian and I said what would be so special about it. She looked at me like I was ignorant.
Than I watched and tears fell from eyes and I came back to India for good. Literally left everything. It's been 16 years and I don't regret it.
India is my beautiful HOME😢
*AN INDIAN CAN GO OUTSIDE INDIA BUT INDIA WILL NEVER OUT OF AN INDIAN. WHY AM I CRYING. LOVE MY 🇮🇳*

This song makes me remember the India in the late 2000's. The country was moving in the right direction. I live in India but I can't relate to this country anymore. Things have changed alot. Hopefully will see India as one again before I die.
The song just brings out the patriotic side of us hidden somewhere in our hearts 💕...shehnai was extremely beautiful 😍
