From Tamil, Malayalam To Kashmir, Ladhak.
From Baluchistan, Bamyan to Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh....
Actual India is A World in Itself.....
I am a punjabi. Born in chattisgarh, lived all my life in madhya pradesh. Hindi heartland. There is a stereotype that we hate tamil and southern Indian languages. Its not true we love tamil and know its older than sanskrit. I would have loved to have tamil as an optional language in my school. We should focus more on teaching South indian language as optional in north India rather than vice versa.
I'm Maharashtrian and am proud of Tamil language.... Excellent
Jai Hind
Love to Tamil from পশ্চিমবঙ্গ (west Bengal)
Never have heard a sweerter language than Tamil!!❤ Love from Pakistan❤❤
இந்திய மாெழிகள் அனைத்தும் இனிமையான மாெழிகளே ....all indian languages are beautiful languages
I'm Muslim I'm very proud to be a Tamilian and speak the oldest language in the world thanks to my other Indian and other bothers sisters who had appreciated my lovely language
I was at this concert... what an unforgettable experience....
Even I don't know a single Tamil word it seems to be very sweet.. We should stop fighting over Hindi-Tamil supremacy... Love you Tamilnadu...
Born an brought up in Delhi. Can't understand even a thing of Tamil. But it touches my heart.
(Lockdown 2020)
the girl who primarily plays violin, her singing is most effortlessly beautiful
Tamil is so special .A language which can evoke buried emotions

I'm a Naga and I love Indian music. Indian culture is very rich and diverse and I hope we continue to do preserve our rich hertitage of music also. It's beautiful and unique.
தமிழுக்கு அமுதென்று பேர்.. இல்லை.. இல்லை, அமுதுக்கு தமிழென்று பேர்.. Pure ecstasy! ❤️
That's why the Oscar committee were right in choosing A.R Rahman as a winner of prestigious global award to him.
Tamil is the most beautiful language I've ever heard.Coming from a Keralite.

Seeing so many positive comments about my mother tongue Tamil, I am out of the world now 🥰🥰🥰
For those looking for song which starts from 8:45, it’s from Manna Madurai- Minsara Kanavu. It’s the continuation in the song.
(Thank me later 😋)
No further proof needed - Indian music effortlessly establishes "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" - timeless, beyond boundaries, races, castes, creeds, cultures, languages, accents, religions, skin colours etc. etc. (anything that divides the human race)
Hats off Berklee team members - each one of you. Pranams, salutes to every one of you - in front of the camera and behind! What a fantastic riot of music, colour, fun and oneness....

*For those who want to get the idea of the lyrics-*
The first song at 1:50 is an emotional one with a hindi version in the film Bombay. Comes close to the meaning: "only you, only you...without you how would i ever live" its the song for the ill-fated lovers.
So is the second one at 4:13 called 'Nahin Samne Tu'. star-crossed lovers sing: "So what if you're not in front of me. You are close to me, you are within me."
At 5:50 the third one i can't tell its in Tamil(India has like 22 different official languages.)
The fourth one is 'chanda re, chanda re' at 7:15:
Its been a long time since they met so they are having a romance with words about nature "oh moon(chanda), oh moon, take some time and visit the earth someday. We will just sit and have a chat..."
[Hope this helps]
Shreyaji and KS Chitraji are my most favourite singers. Please invite KS Chitraji. She is the highest recipient of national awards for a female playback singer in India. She has sung in almost all indian languages. If you agree with me, please give a like for my comment, so that it gets noticed by organisers of Berklee College of Music!
The girl who sings 'kalvare kalvare' has amazing dancing skill too.. loved to the core😍😍😍
I stayed in tamil Tanu for 4 year and I understand tamil language. It's a beautiful and simple language. Proud to be a tamilian
Can't remember having seen any other Music college, Award functions, any organization doing a concert any bigger and more detailed with the compositions of any composer... I am a Bengali... More over an Indian. I am proud of all Indian states with different languages, food, music, art... West is also learning slowly to celebrate life in our way. Indians should stop aping west now.
3:02 When he sang "Uyire..", my uyir just went to him. Such a talented singer. Also what a beautiful composition and everybody passing their soul to the song.
Annette Philip beaming with pride at her flock😍😍😍
I am a punjabi born n brought up in punjab .. didn’t understand most of the words but it’s my first track of everyday gym workout… a legendary masterpiece of Berkeley college of music ..:hats of to all of you

Prem Namaste from Durban, South Africa. I remember all of these songs from my childhood. Our people left India centuries ago but no matter where we went, the Indian culture lives on in different ways. I love Berklee. Thank you for sharing this! JAI HIND.

Respect to the Tamilians from the land of Bangabandhu nd Sheikh Hasina ( Amar sonar bangla ami tomay bhalobasi)
When the nation is fighting against a state who don't want hindi in their books, this extraordinary gang, comprising of different world cultures, from different Indian states and traditions showed that music and the humanity must not be language biased. We as India should be proud of all our languages. Hindi guys making fun of Tamil. Tamil guys banning Hindi must stop, so as to preserve cultural interests of united India. By the way am from Andhra Pradesh (Telugu state). I don't know atleast one Tamil word. But still I respect every language. Thank you A R Rahman sir for weaving us through these soulful songs in different languages. And Thank you Berklee Indian Ensemble for making us tap our heart and feet with outstanding choir team and stupendous vocal team.
Thanks to all my fellow brothers for appreciating Tamil...love from Tamil Nadu to u all...thanks berklee team and ARR for having done a blessed job
More than the singers it is the orchestra that seems to be enjoying playing A R Rahman's music. That's the charm of ARR's music.
This might be the most beautiful thing I've ever watched on RUclips. I'm in the library trying to write an essay for uni while also trying to stop crying while listening to this
I don't the language( may be tamil) but it touch my heart..well..art has no barrier, no border, need not to understand but feel...
Never saw any group of people enjoying music like this....! I don't understand an iota of Tamil language but my heart danced to every God blessed word coming out of those beautiful mouths.
These 11minutes and 56 seconds are nothing but LIFE.
ரஹ்மான் இன்றி அமையாது உலகு!
🥺❤️
I am in tears. Hail Rahman. Jewel of india.
Finally I am happy to see a place where people praising my mother tongue tamil, bcoz there's such bad stereotypes being created about south indians and this beautiful language.❤️
A.R.Rahman is a great music composer indeed. Even if he hadn't got any awards from America, he would still be considered a great music composer in India. But Maestro Illayaraja is the greatest music composer India has ever seen. So far, 4 generations of South Indians have been under the magic spell of Maestro Illayaraja's enchanting music. A.R.Rahman was Maestro Illayaraja's keyboard player and assistant. In India, there is only one music composer who can compose contrapuntal music like Johann Sebastian Bach. That's Maestro Illayaraja. He is the first Indian music composer to compose a full symphony, which was performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. So, you should pay tribute to Maestro Illayaraja too.
Beautifull, I love the melodies and instruments of India, one day I will give myself the opportunity to see them live. Greetings from Peru.

There is something really magical in Tamil language....especially when it comes to music....
I wonder if God believes in A R Rahman.
Beauty and music have no
boudaries or nationalitys . Thank you for a most memorable performance!
Mozart of Madras is genius... his compositions feel like a bliss..... but watching different souls enjoying rendering his composition with that graceful enthusiasm makes me feel I'm on cloud nine
This was the centre piece of the whole Rahaman sahabs dynamics.. he is one of the composers who still maintain very high dynamic range.. nothing is loud at all.
Tamil has such a sing song quality, very pleasing to the ear.
My GOD! Every Tamil word is an whole expression in itself. Gonna learn it heartfully
