I adore both of these molds, and seeing as the clear plastic on both of my original copies has recently broken, I’m honestly very happy about this set.

I'm pretty sure most of the budget for the figures in Age of Extinction went into the Dinobots. because Grimlock slag sludge snarl and swoop got some really good figures out of the age of Extinction line are multicolored like Skittles.

This is just lazy what hasbro’s doing. When I heard the news of the High Octane Bumblebee coming to the SS line, I was excited! I thought that they were going to use a new mold (or a more retooled mold of the 74 Camero Bee). It’s still a good mold don’t get me wrong! But it’s just… it’s just lazy :/
Mine was cheaply made, one of the wheels kept falling off and I lost it and the doors didn't stay pegged in. This figure is best to be left in it's vehicle mode.
The reason I said Paint Job and not the arm cannon, is because I'm going off of what Hasbro has done in the past. For example, Studio Series Drift, was just a reuse of the TLK mold but with better paint.
Hasbro releases this for kids, I believe the tabs on the high octane's chest part also designed differently and more kids friendly. Now you dont need to tab in the chest to the hole in his stomach, but simply rely on the hinges which is super thight and secure the chest in the robot mode. Nice review man
You mentioned the lack of a better paint job, but I'm shocked you didn't mention how strange it is how yellow he is in Bot Mode when he's only got yellow on his spoiler and that stripe on his hood area.

What is the song of the intro? Speaking of Bumblebee SS 79, it is the same as the AOE, without any changes (the missile is yellow) it is not even a new mold, that loose those of Hasbro and Takara.

I know the packaging wasn’t shown on here but I’ve noticed from other pictures for the bumblebee figure it says his number is 79 so this might be hinting that the studio series #79 is a new high octane bumblebee
I feel like they're going to go the lazy route, based on what they've been doing for quite a few of their SS figures (such as Grindor, Clunker Bumblebee, Cogman which was just a piece of crap "toy", 2007 Megatron, Shockwave, etc.). But I do still want them to make a whole new figure with some new and modern transformers toy engineering, better material quality, and both modes to look good. And I do like the idea of the new SS High Octane Bumblebee being a retool of the SS clunker Bumblebee, but I do think they'll have to make quite a few modifications, to both modes.
Ermmm... considering with what they did with Studio Series 24 & 25, it will be no suprise if Hasbro will just reuse the old Age of Extinction mold for SS79...
I still believe that the reissue is a downgrade compared to the original High Octane Bumblebee. That’s why I brought my Original High Octane Bumblebee figure from my basement.
It's so bad that Bee just slightly remold and repaint, why they don't make a mv1 remold. This figure cool, i say really really coll but yhis figure don't scale with other.
high octane is my favorite bumblebee design (coming from a bay-verse hater) and to see the design getting almost instantly replace in the movie with yellow stinger and even studio series not doing it justice pain.
I hope they reshell the clunker bee but keep the head sculpt I personally like the high octane head sculpt more than clunker bees headsculp I feel like there's to much chin and the eyes pop out
They could have used better quality plastic with an old mold. Hasbro has a lot of gall raising the prices on transformers considering how cheap they are on the plastic quality used.

Everyone wanted a SS 1st gen Camaro Bee but instead of making a new mold they give us the same thing they gave us in 2014 and shoved in a rerelease of Stinger just to bump up the price. Im sure by the time its on Amazon the price will already be bumped up so I'll probably never be able to get this set.

The only reason I bought the two pack is for to get stinger because my stinger broke and I’m not gonna fork $50 for a deluxe figure when I could buy this and get another figure with it
This isn't a repack of the aoe version there was a second release that was in a bumblebee evolution 3 pack with tlk bumblebee 2007 classic camero bumblebee, and this version of high octane bumblebee. Witch is why all the gray parts were yellow

Turns out SS77 isn’t High Octane Bumblebee, it’s s gunmetal gray Jeep Bee they called “Nest Bumblebee” for some reason.

My main issue with stinger is trying to position the shoulders to look more accurate to the movie. The cgi design is just too complex.
