Robin with the JTT haircut is definitely one we need. I hope we see a good version, and it’d be really cool to eventually see a Stephanie Brown Robin too. That was around when I was getting back into comics, so I bought the issues where Tim steps down and Stephanie becomes Robin. Was interesting for sure haha, fun read. That First Appearance Nightwing is cool! DC Direct made some great looking figures, sadly a lot of the joints on mine have broken but MOC they look amazing. That 2000s Mattel line was really under-appreciated at the time IMO. The movement wasn’t great, but the Four Horsemen nailed the sculpts. I have the Zip Line Batman MOC still, it’s really good looking. I think the McFarlane one being tall doesn’t bother me as much, only because that’s my “nostalgia” Robin that reminds me of the Batman Returns 90s figure where he’s basically the same height as Batman haha. But I agree, he’s too tall and a little too busy design-wise. Great video man, loved seeing all these!
I remember Batman forever had a two pack of Batman and Robin and one of two face and joker and those were the most accurate but I never had those. May need to hunt them down. I would love a Stephanie Brown as Robin or Spoiler. Yea I do love that Nightwing the Arkham city Nightwing not so much. I would have much rather Robin come on the same buck as Impulse. Think it would have given him that younger look. Unless the Robin we got was ready to become Red Robin 🤣
I do love Jason Todd’s storyline. Red Hood is a great character. I was never a fan of Damien Wayne but appreciate his storyline. Thank you for checking out the video!
If I remember correctly, the Batman Returns Robin with the flat top, was actually sculpted to be the Marlon Wayans Robin that was eventually cut completely from the movie. When Marlon/Robin was cut from the movie, Kenner just decided to paint the skin tone caucasian and release it anyways.
I wondered if it was supposed to be Marlon Waynes or if they were just going for that flat top look from the original look. And if so, I wonder if Marlon got some residuals from toy sales haha thanks for watching!
After watching the whole video I'm right there with you. We have still never got a perfect Tim Drake Robin. I was very excited when McFarlane showed the Tim from knightfall but just like you said he's too big and he's wearing armor. Plus he looks like he's 30years old.
I prefer Robin too. I'm not really a fan of Damien however. I had the super powers figure also but when the Batman returns one came out it was easily my favorite and definitely solidified my fandom. I need to pick one up for old times sake.

@@thomasgoesnostalgic I think mcfartlane is very close to doing a few more things right. Just look at the comic version of green lantern. I'm not surprised Robin is getting ♥️ so many of the earlier versions were completely crap. Like the mega fig swap thing. Who wants a giant swamp thing? One of those characters I have to have a action figure dolly of. But the last two robins were fantastic. Just keep complaining they'll get it done right 👍
@@thomasgoesnostalgic Thats the one. apparently a lot of people had an issue with him not having his signature R emblem in the original run so theres a later variant with the R included that makes for a great semi-standard robin if you take off the wings. just throw on a knight force ninjas cape and youre set
Connor Hawke I believe. Was Connor Hawke Arsenal? I wasn’t familiar with him until later so not sure but I always liked the younger look of this Green Arrow vs the Robin Hood look

I really wish I had it growing up but I have one sealed in packaged and one to mess around with. Definitely a hidden gem of the toy line

Kennners legend of the dark knight robin was always my favorite, he looks so menacing while retaining his character
