Yall this month has been hell for so many of us in SoCal and to just listen to this every week has been such a beautiful blissful callback to normalcy. I thank God for Dylan’s and RJ and this beautiful Kraken community yall have fostered. So incredibly grateful for all of you. ❤
Take this for what you will: I was born in Toronto to a Canadian and Australian, I was raised in the Greater Seattle Area, and I have spent maybe a total of a month in SoCal throughout my entire life. For some reason, I have always referred to highways as "The 405," "The 520," "The I5." I only recently learned that this was a topic of linguistic significance.
Highways around Toronto also use “The”. Hockey related news always eventually becomes a question of “How does this affect the Leafs?” Also, should’ve no hesitation moving on from Oleksiak. Kraken need mobile big guys to support the offensive minded puck movers
Adam Larsson is 32nd percentile in EH WAR this year. 2nd percentile was last year. It's still not good and I don't like that contract (especially given his age and the fact that they signed it before his numbers rebounded), but I don't want to exaggerate the magnitude of the problem.
Seems like Adam Larsson needs to find away to install a back up camera or rearview mirror on his visor. With all the backdoor opportunities he gives up
Many (most?) Canadians also use “the” for high numbered highways. Like Torontonians complain about “The 401”. Although that’s typically for named or triple digit highways. So we might call Highway 401 “the 401”, but if it’s Highway 5, Canadians will just say “Highway 5”.
The instant you started using dubious logic to try to justify putting "the" before highway names, you lost me. I just stopped l listening. I'll be back, but stop trying to Californicate us. It just emphasizes that you're outsiders. I'm not very provincial, but with sports, I don't need to be reasonable.
“I don’t five!” Made me cackle
Always a dead giveaway for tv shows that are shot in LA but are based in Seattle 😂

I appreciate that you guys are able to celebrate wins but still be critical about the play and players. Thank you.

Californian still here. Great education!

Id like to see a comparisson between the capitals offseason moves and the kraken's off season moves. Seems like they got better value

I find myself using the for the 405 but never for the 5 ive lived in WA for 90 percent of my life
I love when Californians come to the pnw and tell us how we do things wrong
😊
