I definitely need this thing. I sometimes play games outside in the hot sun, and my old ROG phone 5 regularly breached 50 degrees C, and the old cooler with only the fan wasn't good enough to cool it down.
And the physical buttons are just super helpful for some games. I love this thing!
Is there a way to make the aeroactive cooler keep on even though we turn off the screen?

I'm still keen to get thise. Would be really nice to just have one device to play emulation on, I'll be able to sell off my Switch and not want to get a steam deck.

I have never tried the Red Magic, to be honest. I can't comment on that.
I'm still worried about having a fan in a phone though. Dust - and especially pocket lint - can't be cleaned easily.
People forger thar the redmagic also has its own coolers, 2 in fact, clip and magnetic and the magnetic has its own case, and they cool better than the aeroactive coolers

@@NasiLemakTech so true im afraid to buy it because of that fan because my environment is prone to dust accumulation but im glad rog 8 pro is IP 68 so i bought it instead. Red magic need to have IP 6 to protect that fan

Nope. Only the ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition comes with that bikini case

Would be nice if asus made a double fan cooler plate the size of the phone, but very thin and with additional buttons. Then i would buy it, because it would remain portable and fit in a pocket.

Its ok with removing the buttons but they must not remove the subwoofer since they downgrade the speakers...

That is the “real time info” that you can enable in the Game Genie.
Launch a game and pull inward from one of the top corners and you can find it there ✌️

May I ask another question. I have a Rog 8 and it ran the game at 60 FPS but I like to run the game at 160 FPS.. At the moment, I don't know how to twist it for running higher FPS. Please help. Thx
@@kenniitran Ah that - unfortunately, it's up to the game. If that game doesn't support up to that FPS then it just won't work.
You can try games like Alto's Adventure and Subway Surfers for 165FPS though
@@NasiLemakTech Thx, I saw some players can play Shadowgun Legends at 165fps. However, the game settings only has 60fps max.
Honestly, I got Rog 8 for for playing Shadowgun Legends at the time being. lol

For the Rog phone 8. Does it sense the air trigger and also the cooler buttons for mapping on emulators?

I tried with the Dolphin emulator - and no, we can't
the devilcase is a bummer... why make it like that when there's already a case specifically for it right out of the box... gotta opt for 3rd party protective casing for daily use then. unlike the previous gens 6 & 7, the devilcase is pretty good for daily & rough use
The devilcase shown in the video seems like a compatible model for the aeroactive cooler. I got my devilcase for the rog phone 8 today and it's much more heavy duty than the one shown in the video. But not compatible with the cooler.
Can you use it on other phone? For example iphone 13 promax or is there any recomended cooler instead this that are good quality?
Guys i habe the rog phone 8 and actually i played car x street right now and i felt my phone hot when i checked in armoury crate it says the phone is 47° is it normal and happens on all the phones or just mine

What do you mean level 3 X Mode?
There is option to x mode level up to level 3 but without fan only can go level 2 for cpu and gpu ..
Even rog 6 just have X Mode n X Mode + when cooler connected,theres no 3 stage

everything is a downgrade except for the new devil aero case. wish rog7 had that case, so i wont have to keep swapping cases when i leave home.
The original aeroactive case is a nightmare to remove without exerting some force and scratching the phone.
Will be keeping my "7" and boombass cooler for a while until asus pivot back to its original target audiences.
im gona stick on rog 7 less overheating, plus aero active cool has woofer, plus can use kunai pad control

Correction. Aeroactive cooler is included in ROG Phone 8 Pro 1TB only. It is not included in the 512gb version.

I heard that the AirTriggers are not as responsive as they should be. Problems include delay of deactivation when lifting after a long press, and getting wrongly activated by touching areas near the AirTriggers. They say it's hard to press, or that it needs a lot of force to register. Is this true?

I have the ROG6, the ROG7 and this new ROG8. I think this phone is not ready, something is wrong with the software in its current state. The air triggers are slow and sometimes randomly responsive. No matter what I do, how I adjust the sensitivity or anything in the settings. Believe me I have tried everything.
I will stick to the ROG7 until they fix ROG8. If you are planning to buy this phone, I don't think it's a good choice, at least I am disappointed and a little bit angry at myself because I bought it.
@@zulucodmobile I already bought it. It's a tough sell. I've never used any gaming phone and this is my first gaming phone. But even though previous generations are better, it's hard for me to go for a lower performing phone.
@@user-yw9dm3tk1g thx to god, there is not so much noticable difference between my ROG7 and 8, I only bought it to have Snapdragon gen3 and to not overuse my ROG7. So I will just stop using it until the fix is available. If they can not fix it in about a month, I will simply set it on fire, burn it and record the whole process for a YT video.

The air triggers on rog phone 8 are shit. They are not reliable and longer press is a problem. They pushed an update to increase the sensitivity but it did not help much. Its still very unreliable for FPS games. None of the youtube channels are talking about it. I feel so cheated coming from rog phone 5

Even though the cooler looks cool, you can't use it with the new ROG Tessen controller I'm pretty sure. And for pure gaming functionality the controller is much more useful than the cooler. So there really is no reason to use the cooler :/
That ROG Tessen is another excuse to buy another accessory. The Kunai Gamepad worked so well and yet they decided to axe it

Next time benchmark it with honkai impact 3 part 2. Thats way more demanding than genshin on high settings and normal content
I like ROG 6 style, when it goes to 7 it looks more to "downgrade" and now rog 8.. nah, it's very downgrade and especially for the cooler and style.😢
