Being a sword main myself I can say that I prefer the usage of swords over the ball because of the overall bp cost to being able to hit every enemy type, and the fact that sp never really was a issue for me. I also consider the ball slot to be a support class instead of a main damage dealer with the sword slot having the higher damage output
I LOVE FUCKING DESTROYING EVERY SINGLE ENEMY AND BOSS AND PIT FLOOR IN THE ENTIRE GAME BECAUSE I USED SOFTENER + FIREBALL + VENOMSHANK + SNOWBALL + LINEBOUNCE
I use sword because I don't want to waste too much bp just equiping different ball cards. Equiping powerstab and sword toss with knight is all you need, and then you can use the extra bp on anything else. Maybe in the future we'll get more sword cards but for now, sword is simple.
2 things about baller that makes him op mixing support and offense: Minimize it is op especially when enemies have attack that deal 2 dmg minimizing enemy removes damage i got 4/5 minimize but 2 or 3 is enough because it cheeses slasher and charge atk with fireball is long lasting dmg i got yet an ice strat that is unconfirmed it requires 3 snowballs and 3 free ice with 2 players as baller uses charge and other player charge baller with free ice and baller uses snowball ( i wonder if ice dmg stack)
What I think about the baller build is that it’s a support class and are usually great in a group while but will get cooked if there alone( if they are not focusing on damage or don’t have the damage cards to use)
Baller is a play style on timing and doing simple builds for more SP. 4 SP for 2 fire balls = 5 turns of burn 4 SP for 5 free poison + SP saver = 11 turns of poison Yeah, definitely keeping my sword, not insulting ballers, just my opinion
I think knight is better for single hit damage, you can deal like 8 damage with one charge and anti up, baller is good for status (eg, comatose or fireball) and it’s good for enemies because of line bounce, knight requires less SP and it’s (arguably) easier to hit, I haven’t used slingshot or rocket much but slingshot is just knight but better if you’re going against people without defense.
Can u make a rocket boots build pls Cards : knight+ baller (+1 atk), ante up (+1 atk) base dmg = 4 fire dmg = 3, TOTAL DMG = 9 dmg and also dont use free poisons u do more dmg by just spamming Rocket boots
You do know there's enemies that can drop snowball and minimize, right. Or are you just talking about cards you can find in the overworld? Also, there's an absolutely OP infinite SP (therefore, inf baller cards) by just using SP drain (if u can afford it with BP, you can also use SP saver and equip 2 COPIES of a card and still have a decent ammount of SP) or even happy SP for more SP usage Another thing, i honestly think they should add one (if not both) of these things: 1. A more powerful ball attack (basically power stab but baller) 2. A move that combines sword toss with power stab (maybe "power toss")

Youve forgotten the free stuff. What i mean by free is the free poison, free ice, and free fire. Sword is also gonna get more and more powerful as the demos go on.
Ill be honest, i run a semi support, using 3 stack charge, feel fine, launcher, sword, sword toss, power stab, ball is goated dont get me wrong, but when all my friends use it, i dont wanna be a cookie cutter player

i'd snowball with cannonball. then just use dynamite. it almost always with you, deals 4 full-pierce damage. high sp cost, but it's moreso a solution to specifically those tricky foes

It may have low damage against armored enemies but it has way more useful abilities then any other weapon in the game, 2 fireball cards give 5 burn damage, so that is 5 plus damage and power stab only gives plus 2 damage, and minimize card reduces the damage of enemies by 2 and is useful for rapid attacking enemies. Linebounce is a way better version of rocket as it can attack all enemies in one turn. And freezeball is useful for stunning enemies as you can farm sword energy and keep freezing the enemy for ice dagger to heal yourself. Did you see sword, slingshot and rocket do those things? No. Is it so useless now?

Sword (aka slingshot because slingshot is way better) slingshot has a base of 4 damage, 6 with ante up and knight, and 7 with the iron sword, slingshot is way better at picking off bosses, picking off light enemies, and picking off healers that sit at the back, baller requires a certain build and the issue is that it requires too many build points, you WILL die on bosses because you simply do not have the points to invest.
