    This was a great review of Delta’s 767-300 D1 product! Thanks for your thoroughness and thoughtfulness. Although these seats are rather dated, you can’t beat the service. I’m a Delta boy through and through.

    Love that you pointed out the spaciousness at Detroit Metro! While that airport is 20 yrs old, it still feels so clean and new with that space compared to a place like O'Hare.

    i fly to London from Portland Oregon at least once a year to go and see my family back home. Until now l have flown economy and it is not comfy for 9.5 hours. i have considered spending the extra money and flying Delta One. After your really informative video my mind is made up. Delta one it is. Thanks for taking the time to share your travel experiences with us.

    Thanks for the review. Your videos are very exciting, informative and a lot of fun! Also I believe that Delta has retrofitted most, if not all of their 767s so the seats are probably better. Also why no uploading?

    I have had to fly quite a few times to Europe in 2019. Delta One is one of the better offerings. I tried a number of them. Note there is a difference between the renovated planes and the ones not renovated yet. This review is of an not renovated cabin.
    1) Lufthansa Business Class (renovated planes)
    2) Delta One Business Class (A330neo planes, you know it is renovated as there is a privacy door added now and the equipment is new)
    3) United Polaris Business Class (renovated planes)
    4) Delta One Business Class (767 planes as they are more worn out as this video also shows with the controller not working, the faults on the finish, video system did not work once, but they do have free texting on your phone in all classes.)
    5) Lufthansa Business Class (not renovated - same problems as Delta but video system failed on multiple flights).
    6) United Business class (not renovated and it really shows - it is pretty bad with no video on a number of flights, lie at an angle (not flat)
    I do prefer Delta. These are my choices out of the NY area as I primarily fly to Germany and these are the only non stops available. American has one out of Washington DC and I have only taken that once (they discontinued JFK service a few years ago). It slots around just below the new Delta One Business Class and before the United Polaris based on that one experience I had in a renovated cabin.

      Sam S Thanks for the comments and yes, Delta is in the process of upgrading the interiors of their premium cabins across the fleet. The 767s will take some time but the A350s and A330Neos will have the newest Delta One suites.

    • @Buc_Stops_Here
      @Buc_Stops_Here 4 года назад +1

      @@RecordsTravels Mostly right. Unfortunately, the upgrades to the 767s are only to he 400 series according to Delta. They are replacing some (not all) of the 300 series with the A350s going forward and when that happens, the upgrades will occur. The open question Delta has not answered is what is going to happen to the remaining (newer) 767-300s? They made no commitment to upgrade those in their statement. See it here: simpleflying.com/delta-767-business-class/

    Great little review! Been offered an upgrade with Delta from main cabin to Delta one on this 763ER for £377/$500 GIG-ATL so around 10 hours. Do you consider this a good deal and would you recommend me upgrade for the price? Thanks :)

      I would say it is absolutely worth it to have the comfort of a lay-flat seat, especially for any flight over 8 hours, which yours is.

    Good report & review for viewing leisure or consideration of 1st timer. Delta one seats on these 767-300s currently are the oldest & the least attractive, also provided with the least comfort & privacy. Certainly it’s still better than economy seats, if one can afford it. If there are options for 767-400 or A350, it’s much more recommended. BTW, privacy of other passengers should be kindly respected, it would be more considerate to avoid direct shot & film on others right on the faces, at least could be blurred out.

    Ron - Name is Chris and I have over 4 Million Miles flown (3 Million+ on Delta), I'm a sports producer - 60 countries, 40 weeks a year, going somewhere for a broadcast - and while this is a pretty subtle point about Delta's 767 Delta One cabin (with their older 767's), if a traveler is tall(er) - 6'0" or more - they might appreciate knowing this minor fact... If a tall(er) person wants more legroom on a 767, he/she should try and book one of the window seats which are closer to the window (the fuselage)... The window seats which are closer to the aisle have about 2" less leg room (the closer to the window seats need adequate access so the opening to their seat removes two inches of leg room for the closer-to-the-aisle window seat in the row behind). With COVID, I've only flown in an A350 a couple of times so I can't say with certainty if this same situation applies to that Delta One cabin configuration as well?)... Also, one other "trick" for anyone flying during winter months who might be bringing along a (down) ski jacket/parka. Bring along a pillow case... So if you wish you had another pillow for your nap, you will have one (your down parka inside your extra pillow case)... I've produced over 5,000 shows so I guess we producers are kind of on the lookout for these little nuances...
