    Furnaces 59TP6 or 59SP6 with single stage AC
    Is there any benefit during cooling with with dehumidification process in the summer when going with the Carrier Performance Two stage furnace 59TP6 (over the single stage 59SP6), when combined with the Carrier Performance single stage AC unit 24SPA6?

    This is a 3 ton system? Are they sold in integer measured tonnage: so 3, 4, 5, etc., rather than fractions of tons, like 3.5? Would a 3 ton system properly control the cooling for a 1 story 1700 square foot house with 9 foot ceilings? I live near the coast in San Diego, so even though it's hot this summer, the usual summer highs are in the low 80's. How important is the duct work? When our house was built, circa 2003, they used flexible insulated tubes. Maybe that's typical for homes, but would a rigid rectangular duct system be better, or does that not make much difference? Our attic has a pretty high pitch, so there's a lot of room to walk around. Sounds like matching the furnace with the AC system is a good idea? What would be the corresponding gas furnace from Carrier? Anyway, thanks for sharing your review and expertise. Cheers!

      Oh, and as a follow up: is there anyway to have some kind of redundancy in the main system. We've had our Carrier for 20+ years, and it's been great, but there have been a couple of times when it's failed--like a fan motor burn out, or failed capacitor. Due to health reasons and temperature sensitivities, this creates a lot of problems, usually during the hottest time of year, when repair techs are hard to find on short notice. I was just trying to imagine how a back up system might be added as a hold over if the main one goes down for whatever reason.

      Thank you for watching my video. Here are the answers to your questions.
      1 - The Infinity systems only come in full sizes (2,3,4 and 5 ton).
      2 - I would recommend going with the 4 ton system for a house that is 1700 Sq/ft
      3 - Ductwork is very important with these systems. The ducts need to be sized to .05 static pressure. If the ducts are too small the system will not operate properly and your will have problems.
      4 - Flexible ducts (R-8) are code in this area now and are typically used in southern California when we replace old or existing ducts. Your home being 2003 probably has grey or black flex duct that is R-4. The square or round metal ducts will also work, but can be very costly to install compared to the flexible ducts.
      5 - You must must match the infinity condenser (24VNA9 or 24VNA6) with an infinity furnace and infinity control thermostat for the system to work properly. It is a communicating system so the matchup is very important.
      6 - The furnace you would use would be the 58TN1A or 58TN0B for the 80% AFUE models or 59TN6 or 59MN7B for the 96% and 97% AFUE models. The thermostat model # is SYSTXCCWIC01B
      I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. If you need an estimate I would recommend calling a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer in your area.

    Is there a more secure way to keep these in the ground because thieves are starting to steal these units with regularity. If there was only a way to put antitheft devices on these units

      Thank you for watching the video. This condenser is strapped to the pad and then anchored into the cement. I do not know of any other way to secure it better.

    How much was the complete system...ballpark?

    • @albertairinc.1140
      @albertairinc.1140  3 месяца назад

      The cost of this system will depend on many variables. For that reason I can't give any pricing without seeing the house.

    Would you come out to Lake Arrowhead to give me a quote??

      Unfortunately that is out of our service area. I would recommend calling Steve's five star service (909) 985-5254. They are located in Upland and might be able to serve you in Lake Arrowhead.

    Why not install a heat pump?

      Electricity usage is still more expensive than gas.

    • @albertairinc.1140
      @albertairinc.1140  3 месяца назад

      I gave the customer both options and we decided that the AC and gas furnace would be better for them as they never run heat in their house due to being located in Southern California.

    • @albertairinc.1140
      @albertairinc.1140  3 месяца назад

      @@TheHouseofChameleons That is correct. A heat pump system would cost more to install and to run the heat unless you have solar.
