Lovely to see a quick look at Nova's mum doing her thing!! Nova got better and better as the day went on, bless him, hes a lovely horse, and great to see his full XC via equireel, so thanks Jancis for paying for it! 💖
Isn’t he a beautiful looking type of horse. Such promise. He was a super hero on a couple of occasions on the cross country wasn’t he. That ground sounded like glue so all in all what a bloody marvellous round, well done 👏👏👏 Those professional photographic reels whilst costly, what a massive training aid. Just lovely to watch. Thank you. 😀
Thank you- he was very good, and it is great to be able to reflect back on the round because your perception of it at the time can be quite different to the reality…. I thought I was going quite fast 🐌🫣😵💫
@@theeventingjourney232 I think your initial nerves make it feel fast when you start. And interestingly, fence four was the first bogey which he just sneered at and jumped beautifully. And from there the speed ramped up having sailed through the “worry” fence. Really interesting to hear that you felt he jumped with a greater fluidity when he had a faster working canter/gallop on. A great day to end his season. 🎉
@@Golden1989-days he's 7- he’s had a very stop-start competition career so far as he missed half a year of work as both a 5 and 6yr old, but I don’t think it has done him any harm
Thank you! I think there's a smart test in there, just need to get the balance better and I need to actually sit up and ride him for the higher marks 🤔🫣
Thank you- it would be lovely to go and consolidate with another run or two, but the weather is deteriorating and I don’t want to risk leaving things on a bad run. Hopefully we'll get a good season in next year 🤞
Sometimes it’s not fun with horses and we have definitely had lots of big ups and downs so it’s great to have a good friend who completely understands.
I really enjoy your videos. You guys have such a beautiful relationship with each other. I have to admit, though, it always surprises me to see you driving on the wrong side of the road. Lol.😂😂
Hello ladies. I think the dressage was tricky due to the slippy ground and maybe some of the “suppleness” was lost for that reason!! Looked great though. Jancis had her shoulders forward whilst Lucy was commenting that Nova needed to “come up” and as soon as she brought her shoulders back he came up. But to be fair …… in that rain. Ugh
It's nice to end on a high point. As Lucy says, room for improvement in the dressage. To my inexperienced eye, he looked a bit lackluster. Lots to look forward to over the winter and next seasons event. ❤
I was looking at Nova and thinking he looks like my mare Escape the Fantasy Z.. they look quite similar so he must be out of Escape Z as well, I didn’t realise. She’s 6 too. Well done and lovely to see her half brother doing well.
He is by Escape Z! How lovely to hear of others, I absolutely adore the stallion (took me a long time to choose for my precious mare!) What do you do with yours?
@@theeventingjourney232 She was not well handled and had lots of behavioural issues when I first got her, so we did lots of ground work so we could handle her. This year she’s been training for eventing too.. we haven’t actually done any comps, I’m just taking my time. She’s now a lovely chestnut mare, very opinionated, so entertaining and loves people, which she didn’t when I got her. She has lots of white patches, which are increasing, lovely jump and very smart. So glad youre utilising Novas skills, I hope to next year.. thanks for sharing I’m really enjoying your journey.
@@ruthwhalley3133 oh goodness- it sounds lucky that she found you. Nova has a fantastic personality, he's very into his humans. Hopefully your girl continues to bloom 🧡
Oh dear! Note to self, less smarm. Sadly no professional gimbal here until RUclips pays us a lot more to upgrade camera kit and we are a long way off that earning about £2 per video and not earning the £500+ per video like the big guys who have it as their full time job.
Great job, Girls!! Loved watching the cross country round. Next year will be awesome!!
Thank you. Hopefully next year will be our year….. 🤔🫣
Great job. It must be quite challenging in horrid weather (-: Marion 🎉
Our poor friend who went later had the worst of it- she did give up and go home after a very wet dressage!
Fabulous 💜🐴 and love the road chats 😂. Well done 🤠🇮🇪
Thank you for joining us for our journey!

What a good result on really tacky ground well done 👍 you 2 are a scream such a great team always fun to watch 😊well done done guys 👍

I’m sure you will. He’s such a powerful horse in the making isn’t he. His old is he?

What a handsome horse and well done to both of you!
Thank you 🧡
Really enjoy watching Nova too!!! ❤❤ He has a lot of scope and talent and a wonderful neck for dressage! Congratulations on your doble clear!!! ❤❤

Good on you! Nova is a lovely type! Love listening to you ladies 😊😊🌼🌼🌼. Looks miserable there, we are coming into spring here in Australia ❤
Thank you. I'd happily swap places with you right now, it's grim here! 🌧
He looks like such a lovely horse.
He really is
Looks like a really positive and educational run, (in less than ideal conditions!) and great that you came away with the clear points to work on.

What a brave duo ,huge congratulations.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Nova looks to be progressing quite well. Good morning from Australia 🌏🦘🐨🪃🇦🇺
Thank you, good evening from us in the UK. I’m willing to bet you have better weather than us right now 🌧 🫣
Well done for powering through. Really look forward to your updates and vlogs. Down to earth but also inspiring.
Thank you- lovely to have you along for the journey!

It’s very easy to comment from the armchair ❤️
It’s not really the “wrong” side, it’s the other side.

Again it's a fine line between relaxation but a bit quiet or having him a bit more 'up' but maybe getting some tension. We'll get there!

Whoever that is commenting during the dressage needs to cut out the smarmy remarks and concentrate on holding the camera steady! Unwatchable.
