Suh vi 40?! Wow, so young. Seeing as how most people love to 80+. You’ve got all of the years you’re spent on earth, plus probably a few more, to make a change. That’s a crap ton of time. The mistake, in my opinion, is to imagine that your current disappointment and dissatisfaction is a realistic measure of your success so far. If anything, it shows hope for an even better future. People grow out of discomfort. If it hurts bad enough you’re going to change so it doesn’t hurt you anymore sooner or later. Every “failure” is an experiment in life that has given you more information and wisdom so you’re better prepared next time. It’s like failing a test in school that you can retake again, and again, and again. Also, on the internet, nobody even knows or cares that you’re 40. Unless you say it - in which case they know and still don’t care. Lol. I think you should take a really deep breath and relax. Think about ways to move foreword. There’s a lot. What’s the point in defining yourself according to your past? You’re not the same person now as you were when you first started reading this comment. You change every millisecond, and each one means you have another chance to make brand new choices about your life. With all the milliseconds you have left, statistically speaking, there’s no way you can fail, as long as you still care. Caring about it...that is the key...and if you struggle to care about your situation - well just start learning more about it by reading and listening to people, and it will eventually click into place that you want to change. Not to nitpick, but shirk means to evade responsibility or duty. Shrink might be a better word choice, and would imply the "power of our fire" is too great for even the phoenix to withstand or draw near.

I don't quite remember when I first discovered this track, but it inspired me to write one hell of a story. One that I hope to fine tune someday to make it palatable. It all started with one scene that i wrote while listening...and expanded from there. Calling this song amazing doesn't even begin to do it justice.
