As an Irish person I am proud to have Aran as our repersentative, all he does is cheat, slag and scream almost incoherently and I love him.

I wouldn't call him generic, but he definetly could have gotten a better representation. The Wii version also tends to have the best versions of every character in it, such a great retro revival.

I love how next level amped the persona of him in the 2009 reboot, he was so generic in super punch out.
Super Punch Out was really generic, it lacked the charm of the original.

Rules Of Infractions
Oh boy this is gonna hurt y'all
• His hair tail is too long for it to be considered to be approvable.
• Moves performed not from a clenched fist isn't allow, making his open palm, headbutt & elbow smashes illegal
• His headbutt move come from him bouncing off the ropes which is illegal
• He loads his gloves with horseshoes, which is not only illegal but it's also breaking the law
• His contender mode win animation has him breaking a camera with a headbutt, now this isn't necessarily a infraction but he will have to replace it.
• In title defense mode, he brings and uses a boxing glove on a rope which counts as the use of a foreign object.
• This counts as a double infraction as the glove itself looks damaged, in boxing your attire and gloves must be in perfect condition for it to be used
• He threatened to the fight the audience, in boxing boxers are never allow in any circumstance to interact with the crowd even if the crowd was bugging him.
• During his in between title defense animation, the referee grabs him and Ryan shoves him to the ropes, in boxing your not allow to attack the referee cause it gonna lead you into being bann from boxing forever
• Well it's unknown what Aran suffers from, he would be still not able to compete until his mental state has been improved.
• When Aran gets hits with a star punch he spins around to sell it, at that very moment he shows his back, this counts as throwing the match which is illegal in boxing.
While Aran's shamrock on his belt would counts as personal branding which isn't allow, a lot of irish boxing shorts has a shamrock on it to give them good luck, making Ryan's shamrock approvable.

When you think about it, in the wii version, he knows he’s in a game. Which could mean he knows the pain is only projected in his mind, so that’s why despite knowing what pain Mac can do, he lets him throw in punches, loads horseshoes into his gloves, and also assaults the ref, heck, even bring weapons into the stadium. He KNOWS he’s in a video game, and he takes full advantage of it.

Character development at it's finest
Here’s my theory as to why he changed from the most completely fair boxer, to a complete cheat between the two games.
In his first appearance, he abides by all boxing rules and guidelines perfectly, however, at 0:37 he is knocked to the ground a second, and more brutal time, and attempts to get back up; only to fall flat on his face again. This might’ve either humiliated him to the point where he snaps and starts cheating, or he’s sustained enough head trauma (due to the second impact where he fails to get up after being knocked down the second time) that something changes in him, and he becomes the huge cheater he is in his latter appearance.
