I once cut out a dish towel sized section from an old judogi and would bring it to the gym with me to practice grip strength on those cable machines. Helps a lot.
I'm not quite a beginner in aerial but I'm looking to challenge myself and grip strength is my weak spot in aerial I would say. So I'm currently trying to do one arm inverts. Any tips for that or is this exercise still the right one?

Strap or rope? But yes. This exercise tends to hold for both. Are you pulling single arm meat hook?
