I have ridden both the 950S and the V2 Pannigale. For the street the 950s all day long IMHO. Both are great bikes but even the V2 P does not start seeing power until 8k and above. The SS has torque everywhere, much more fun on the street
Prezactly. The newer oversquare engines are made to be ridden on tracks where you can keep them pinned. The old Testastretta is a far better engine for a street bike.
@@saddle8bag Yep, I have 3 Ducati's with this 937 Engine and one with the 4 cylinder (Pikes Peak) I like the Testy engine the best by far!! The PP is good for travel though.
The SS950 is a lot more upright than a Japanese supersport. On those the rear sets are further back and up higher, the seat height is higher, and the clip ons are mounted below the triple tree on the fork tubes, not on top of the triple clamp. That makes for a much more leaned forward more on top then sitting in position. Plus the stock seat is wicked cushy, a Japanese super sport style has a piece of plywood with leather wrapping in comparison. This bike is the perfect balance of leaned forward and upright in my opinion. It’s more like a VFR800 in terms of ergonomics. It’s a little aggressive, but not real super sport or super bike aggressive… it’s more sporty sport tourer…
Desmo Marcel..Just in case you don't know . If you takes seat off and look at underneath at rear , there are 4 hoops you can turn out to attach luggage to . Or a seat hump type like I have fir buts and bobs . Then you can get rid of tank bag
Pretty sure they were Ducabike rearsets, as everything on this bike was. Not sure they were installed correctly by PO though, the rear brake was impossible to touch
@@DesmoMarcel yeah they are ducabike but you're right he doesn't have them setup very well. Everything is fully adjustable on those, just need to be setup right. Were you even riding in sport mode? A lot more fun in sport with the akra up map...
Owner of a SS 2022 ,can agree with @chrisvantassel8867, it's a fun bike with torque everywhere.perfect bike for the street! love it. looking forward to get those akra twins. they look dope af. This has to be the best modded SS i've ever seen ❤
I am very close to buying a SS. I have a Hyper 950SP and a Desert X with the same basic engine. It is between that engine and the Super Duke 1290 engine that are my favorites for the street.
I haven’t actually gotten to ride a Streetfighter V2 yet. My guess is the the SFV2 will feel “newer” less “raw” but more refined especially with all the new electronics. I’ll have to try and get my hands on one
I have ridden both extensively. I bought the 950SSS if that says anything. If you want a naked get a Super Duke, much better for the street than the Street Fighter. Also, the Hyper SP......all of the 937 110hp bikes feel like 150 HP because of the torque which is why they are so much fun on the street. The V2 SF just takes too long to find power, it goes when it goes but. it is not that much faster than the 950. 950 feels faster and probably is 0-100.....after that the SF will walk it but who cares at that point. Also, the 950 corners much better, it is more forgiving and natural feeling than any of the SF's or Panigales.

Yeah I hear you, it does seem to be a really well balanced riding position
Exactly

That's the best-looking Supersport 950 I've ever seen. May I suggest a smoked windscreen, though?
Can you please link the tail tidy bracket plate holder?
Not sure where he got it as it’s not my bike 🤷♂️ sorry bud
Fuel gauge top left of the screen BTW. It even counts down the mileage when you get low.
Hi there! were did you find the sliders? those are not available in my region
Super sports with sports handle bars ❤
😮 thats my dreambike supersport.
It’s a good one, definitely an attainable dream bike
I used to live in AG years ago, we should go riding sometime! I have a 24 V4 in AZ. In your video you actually pass by my house lol
Crazy! Small world man. if you’re ever back on the coast let me know we’ll have to go for a ride
I knew that road seemed familiar! Grew up in SLO/AG and drove the crap out of those backroads. I'm in Arizona now myself (Flagstaff)
Hi can you pls get me the part number for this akra full system pls
What mirrors you got like them good looking bike
They are motogadget m.view blade mirrors (technically not a mirror just highly polished metal)
Nice backroads. Is this NorCal?
Central Coast, Ca 👍
I just wish Ducati would start adding cruise control.
100%, that is my only complaint on this bike
Nice bike..!!!
You're friends with Micah?
Do you even know what he did to Arthur??!!
What rearsets are on it?

Ducatis sound like ATVs 😂
in the vid yes but not in person, although when they r new those Desmo valves are clanky but also kind of cool at the same time.

Ugly modded, too much. Looks cheaper than stock.
Can you compare it with streetfighter v2? Which is better?

SFv2 is definitely faster but way less comfortable to ride and definitely does not feel more refined than the 950S.
Sf v2 is more raw. Driven both. Easier to live Ss tuning is more comfortable and linear for a twin
