  • Ok, so its not a reel to reel, this is one of the clock systems from the closed BUSH house BBC studios in London, it requires 48V which I haven't got but will just about half run on 25V ( it actually will run on as little as 6V on the main clocks), it shows the three master units (BS-10) pulsing and the wall clock output pulsing every half a second, negative then positive.

from what I understand, there are 3 master clocks which drive drone clocks, the drone drivers send a 24V pulse out around the BBC, this pulse drives slave clocks, each clock will pulse exactly at the same time, so this unit would be in charge of making sure every clock reads the same time though a section of the old BBC BUSH house.

Patek Philippe made all different types of electric clocks, including pulse-driven clocks for OEM applications, which HP offered as an option with their cesium atomic frequency standards. They were at one time one of Europe's largest manufacturers of master clocks, even serving as an OEM for Solari.

Intriguing, forgive my ignorance, but what was the main purpose of this system. Programing timing?
